A sandwich-type blister card is provided to contain a product item such as a pliers or scissors with a handle extending outside of the blister. The blister card includes a back panel, a front panel, and a blister having a blister cavity and a peripheral flange. The blister includes a wrap-around strap attached to the blister at a first end of the strap to secure a portion of the product therein. The peripheral flange and a second end of the strap are sealed between the front and back panels.

A hangable display package that contains a portion of a hand tool in a manner that reveals the hand tool while still contained in the package hanging on a display hook. An outer skin having a front panel, a back panel, and a side panel covers a filler material having a thickness equivalent to the thickness of the tool contained in the display. The front panel and filler are cut to create a cavity that conforms to the size and shape of a part of the hand tool. The front panel has a clear plastic window over the cavity, allowing display of the tool. The tool is held in the display package by the forces exerted on the tool by the filler material and the front and back panels when inserted into the cavity of the display package.

Cable retainers for cables are disclosed. The cable retainers may include a panel having a pair of loop locks. The loop locks may engage each other to form a loop. The cable retainer may include a first and a second retention loop. Each retention loop may have a finger with a slot formed at a fold line of the finger. Each retention loop may also have a flap with a tab formed at a fold line of the flap. The finger and the flap of the first retention loop may be located directly across the panel from one another. The finger of the second retention loop may be located at a first end of the panel while the flap of the second retention loop may be located at a second end of the panel. The tabs and slots of each retention loop may interlock to form a rectangular cable passage. The cable may also include a reinforcement structure disposed in a retention loop. The reinforcement structure may be stepped reinforcement structure. The cable retainer may be formed entirely of paper and may be formed without and adhesive.

A package assembly is provided with a plurality of pivotally connected panels to collectively support a product and define a cavity. A home hardware product is affixed to an exterior side of one of the plurality of panels.

A packaging arrangement configured to entrap a product while leaving a portion of the product exposed for examination by potential purchasers comprises a card defining an aperture and a retainer fixed to the card with a ring of the retainer extending through the aperture. The ring of the retainer defines a ring opening and a bore extending in a downward direction along a bore axis from the ring opening. A ring opening edge defines a ring opening plane extending in forward, backward, portward, and starboardly directions. The ring may encircle the product so as to limit or prevent translational movement of the product in directions parallel to the ring opening plane. The upper edge of the card may be located proximate an upper surface of the product so as to limit or prevent translational movement of the product in the upward direction.

An installation for producing a support for a product in a unitary dose including a supply member of a material web, a cutting apparatus to obtain a support card having a main portion, in which there is formed a main opening, and a foldable flap, in which there is formed a secondary opening. The installation further includes movement members for receiving the packaging of a product in a unitary dose so that a portion projects from the main opening and a peripheral edge is supported on the main portion of the card. The installation also includes folding members for folding the flap so as to enclose a portion of the peripheral edge between the flap and the main portion of the card. The installation also includes a fixing apparatus for fixing the flap to the main portion of the card.

A combined item carrier and greeting card and a method of forming the same are disclosed in which a first panel includes a first portion and second portion joined along a first line of weakness, a second panel is joined to the first panel along a second line of weakness, and the first portion and the second portion are secured to one another to form a package to hold an item therebetween.

Disclosed herein are packagings for cutting blades, multiple packagings connected to each other, methods for using and producing such packagings, and a method for packaging cutting blades in such packagings. One such packaging comprises a substantially flat base and cover layer made of a first and a second packaging material respectively, a blade receptacle between the two layers, and a cover of the blade receptacle formed in the cover layer. The first and second packaging material are made primarily of cardboard. The packaging materials each have a first and a second rigidity in corresponding primary directions, wherein a cutting edge of a blade is disposed in the packaging parallel to at least one of the primary directions. A multiple packaging made of such individual packagings with a separation region between two individual packagings comprises a planned parting line in a layer and a hinge line in the other layer.

A packaging assembly for a pair of eyeglasses. The packaging assembly includes: a front face, the front face comprising at least one front hanger opening and at least two eyeglass temple openings, and a fastening structure configured to restrict removal of an at least one eyeglass temple from the front face. The packaging assembly is configured to facilitate sampling of the pair of eyeglasses while engaged with the packaging assembly. The packaging assembly may include a back face connected to the front face; a cutout; and at least one security element. Furthermore, the fastening structure and at least two eyeglass temple openings may be cooperatively structured to dispose the pair of eyeglasses in a stored position in overlying relation to the front face. Additionally, the present invention relates to a packaging assembly that is practicalthereby permitting a user to effectively sample the pair of eyeglasses by trying them on.

A method includes forming a card having a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and a decal removably attached to the bottom surface, the decal including a first unique identifier. The method also includes removably attaching a bottom surface of a token to the top surface of the card, the bottom surface of the token including a second unique identifier operable to provide access to a digital gift. The method further includes removing the decal from the card, attaching the decal to a base of packaging configured to retain the token and the card, and disposing the card and the token within the packaging such that at least the token is removably retained by the packaging and the second unique identifier is inaccessible.
