Dispensing system for flexible containers such as pouches, sachets, packets or bag-in-boxes
The invention is a dispensing system (1; 101) suited to dispense a product (W), comprising a flexible container (2) defining a volume (Y) for containing the product (W), the flexible container (2; 102) being of the type comprising at least one dispensing opening (6; 106) and at least one collapsible and/or deformable portion suited to reduce the volume (V) in such a way as to cause the product (W) to be dispensed through the dispensing opening (6; 106). Said system comprises covering means (3; 103) externally associated with the flexible container (2; 102), the covering means (3; 103) comprising at least one shaped opening (21a, 21b; 22a, 22b; 121a) suited to make the flexible container (2; 102) visible and suited to provide the dispensing system (1; 101) with a decorative element as desired. The invention concerns also covering means (3; 103) suited to be externally associated with a flexible container (2; 102) that defines a volume (V) for containing a product (W).
Resealable packages for snack products
Disclosed are unique resealable packages for snacks. Some embodiments comprise rigid sidewalls configured to structurally support a flexible bag to maintain the thickness of the bag as it is laid on its back and opened for product consumption. In addition, disclosed packages include a resealable flexible flap having a raised pull tab for use by a consumer to peel open the bag by separating this flap from the front of the bag, and then resealing the bag by laying the flap back over the opening. The rigid sidewalls allow the integrity of the product to be maintained after the bag is resealed so that the product is not crushed if the bag is stored for later use. Edges of the peelable flap are coated with a resealable adhesive, while one side or end of the flap is connected to a portion of the bag's front surface.
PACKAGING UNIT
The invention relates to a packaging unit (1) for a plurality of individual products (20) combined into a group (2), comprising a plastic bag which accommodates the group (2) of individual products (20) and at least one stiffening element (3, 4, 5) arranged in the plastic bag or around the plastic bag, wherein the at least one stiffening element (3, 4, 5) covers and/or accommodates at least one of the plurality of individual products at least in some sections and wherein the at least one stiffening element (3, 4, 5) is produced from a material having a higher stiffness than the plastic bag.
Flexible containers and related methods
A flexible container incorporating flexible front and rear sheets with a perimeter seal in which at least one length or section of the perimeter seal can include a seal weld that has both a permanent seal section and a pressure absorbing seal section. The pressure absorbing seal section is configured to peel, fail, or split when the flexible container, filled with a solution or liquid, is dropped onto a hard surface to thereby absorb the impact of the drop. The flexible container can be provided with one or more dispensing and/or additive ports or without any port. The flexible container may include more than one compartments with a peelable seal separating two adjoining compartments of the flexible container.
Method and system for forming packages
A system and method for forming reinforced packages. The method can comprise forming an attached web by adhering a construct to a web of material, and moving the attached web in a downstream direction through at least a web edge forming assembly. The moving the attached web can comprise moving the construct with the web of material. The method further can include at least partially forming a folded web by folding at least a portion of the web of material as the attached web moves through the web folding assembly and forming a reinforced package comprising a liner and the construct by separating the liner from a remainder of the folded web. The construct is adhered to the liner.
Food container assembly
Embodiments relate to a food container assembly having a removable internal dispensing bag or enclosure. Food product(s) such as baby food, liquids or other product(s) or material can be loaded and/or stored in the internal enclosure, which is then enclosed within an external protective enclosure, with an opening for access to product(s) stored in the internal enclosure. Straws, spoons, or other utensils can be used. The external enclosure can include snap fits or other connections to enclose the external enclosure around the internal enclosure, so that the internal enclosure can be accessed and removed for washing, reloading of food, or other handling. The external enclosure or other bag or enclosure can include a pocket for an ice pack or insulation. The external enclosure can protect against mold, fungus, or other spoilage or contamination, and can be used repeatedly to enclose bags storing various food products.
Dispensing system, packaging system, package, closure system, dispensing gun system, method of making a package, and method of dispensing a product
The present invention includes a dispensing system for dispensing a packaged product, e.g. a condiment, onto one or more areas. A package including a pouch having the product therein cooperates with a dispensing gun to dispense a dose of product. In various aspects the invention includes a packaging system that includes a container and a flexible package; a package with a frangible seal, the package including a flexible pouch; a dispensing assembly for dispensing a product from the package; a dispensing gun system; a method of making a package; and a method of dispensing a product. The packaging system includes a container such as a rigid sleeve, and a flexible pouch positioned within the container interior, and also includes a valve that enables the product to exit the pouch interior and be dispensed. An optional diffuser coordinates with the valve to dispense product from one or more product outlets.
Flexible Reinforcement for Flexible Container
A package includes a polymeric flexible bag with an opening to an interior space configured to contain liquid, and a flexible reinforcing article having a cavity at least partially containing the flexible bag. The reinforcing article protects the flexible bag from impacts. The reinforcing article includes at least one piece of flexible polymeric material extending at least partially around the cavity. The reinforcing article circumferentially engages, and circumferentially provides inwardly oriented force against, an exterior of the flexible bag. Opposite ends of the reinforcing article are spaced apart by a distance that is less than a distance between opposite ends of the flexible bag. An opening of the reinforcing article is proximate one of the opposite ends of the reinforcing article and configured to have a portion of the flexible bag extend through the opening. The reinforcing article can be a sleeve or bag.
Flip wrap
We disclose a sheet of twist-free cling wrap, comprising opposing multi-ply flaps and opposing thumb tabs. The flaps have concealed integral hooks which connect sheets to one another in a series. Rigid extensions to the sheet lodge beneath a dispensing slit to dispense one sheet at a time.
