A packaging system includes a packaging unit and an article. The packaging unit includes a solid layer, a porous layer and a plastic layer with a cavity. The cavity is configured to receive and secure the article in an opening defined by the cavity that is flexible between a first and a second dimension. The packaging unit is fabricated by a 3D printing process. A tensioning device of a 3D printing machine tensions a feed filament during the 3D printing process.

A packing unit for an air-conditioning apparatus includes an outdoor unit with heavy objects that are provided on a bottom plate of a housing of the outdoor unit. On the packing unit, the outdoor unit is placed. The packing unit includes: a support base that has a cuboid framework structure made by combining a plurality of wood pieces, and supports the outdoor unit; a long wood piece that has a long plate shape, and that forms part of an upper surface portion of the support base and faces the bottom plate, the long wood piece having end portions, one of the end portions being fixed to the support base, the other being a free end that is movable in a vertical direction; and a support wood piece that is provided on an upper surface portion of the end portion on a free end side of the long wood piece.

The front cushion piece may be substantially perpendicular to the bottom cushion piece and may define an entry space adjacent to the front entry portion. The rear cushion piece may be substantially perpendicular to the bottom cushion piece and opposite the front cushion piece. The translated top cushion piece extends from the rear cushion piece and is displaced from the void cavity. The packaging cushion at least partially covers six sides of a product housed therein. Methods of packaging products and methods of manufacturing a one-piece encapsulating packaging cushion using a male mold and a female mold are also provided.

The compression resistant package for wall and ceiling tile includes a first container having a box portion and a cover. An L-shaped corner protection member is provided inside the box portion at each of the tour corners of the box portion. Each of the L-shaped corner protection members have two intersecting legs that respectively extend alongside predetermined portions of the interior wall surfaces of the box portion. The corner protection members have a height that extends upwardly from the floor of the box portion to the height of the walls of the box portion. The corner protection members are formed of a compression resistant material that prevents any overlying containers from imposing pressure on a stack of tiles inside the first container when the stack height of the tiles inside the first container is less than the height of the corner protection members.

Each of the chambers is characterized as having a general shape, when inflated, of a truncated rectangular pyramid. Each of the plurality of inflation chambers is foldably coupled to another of the plurality of inflation chambers at an edge of said inflation chamber. The plurality of inflation chambers, when inflated, are configured to be folded into a shape that surrounds a void between said plurality of inflation chambers. There may be six inflation chambers.
