ADAPTER FOR CONVEYING PLURAL LIQUID STREAMS
An adapter for improving the efficiency of a static mixer being used to mix reactive fluids such as epoxy adhesives. This allows either a small static mixer to be employed, or a smaller purge flow during dispensing operations.
A MIXER FOR DISPENSING A MULTI-COMPONENT MATERIAL
The invention relates to a mixer (11) for dispensing a multi-component material comprising: a first inlet (14a, 14b) for at least a first component (A, B) of the multi-component material; a mixing tube (18); a compartment (21a, 21b) for at least a second component (C) of the multi-component material; a duct (25a, 25b) that establishes a fluid communication between the inlet and the compartment, wherein the duct forms a first exit (20a, 20b) into the mixing tube and the compartment forms a second exit (22a, 22b) into the mixing tube.
Component delivery system utilizing film bags
A compressible cartridge includes a first flexible bag, a second flexible bag, and a rigid face plate. The first and second flexible bags include a multilayer film having at least three layers formed from different materials. The first and second flexible bags have a front end and a sealed back end opposite the front end. The first flexible bag defines a first volume to receive a first flowable material. The second flexible bag defines a second volume to receive a second flowable material that is different from the first flowable material. The rigid face plate has a first collar, a second collar, and a nosepiece. The first collar is bonded to the front end of the first flexible bag, and the second collar is bonded to the front end of the second flexible bag. The nosepiece defines 1) a first opening that is in fluid communication with the first volume of the first flexible bag, 2) a second opening that is in fluid communication with the second volume of the second flexible bag, and 3) a discharge opening.
Two-fluid discharge container
Provided is a two fluid discharge container comprising: a container body; a piston partitioned by a first storage part and a second storage part, which are accommodated in the container body and are each to be filled with content, and a pressurized space to be filled with a pressurizing agent; and a valve mechanism that closes an opening in the container body, and has a passage through which the first storage part and the second storage part communicate. The first storage part and the second storage part are concentrically formed, and the contents of the first storage part and the second storage part are simultaneously pressurized by the piston so as to be discharged.
DISPENSING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A dispensing system includes a device having a body extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite proximal and distal ends. The body includes a proximal chamber, a distal chamber and a wall between the chambers. The body includes a first port in communication with the proximal chamber and a second port in communication with the distal chamber. A shaft is movably positioned within the body. The shaft extending through the wall and comprising a proximal plunger positioned within the proximal chamber and a distal plunger positioned within the distal chamber. Wherein pressure introduced through an opening in the proximal end moves the shaft such that the proximal plunger moves a material within the proximal chamber out of the first port and the distal plunger moves a material within the distal chamber out of the second port. Kits and methods of use are disclosed.
DISPENSING ASSEMBLY INCLUDING AN ADDITIVE MIXING DEVICE
A dispensing system includes a container containing a flowable base formulation to be dispensed, an additive mixing device, and an actuable pump engine which draws the flowable base formulation from the container and pumps it through the mixing device. The additive mixing device includes a body with an internal cavity, an additive ingredient within the cavity, and a flow path/mixing chamber between an input and an output. With each pump of the device the additive ingredient is introduced into, and mixed with, a flow of the base formulation traveling through the mixing device. Multiple additive mixing devices may be interchangeable for different formulations, and the mixing devices may be refillable.
Cosmetics portioning machine
A cosmetic portioning machine is provided having a mixing chamber, with a plurality of radially-disposed inlets, each of which provides an ingredient. A piston disposed in the mixing chamber defines a mixing volume. A dasher may be disposed in the mixing chamber to mix the ingredients together in the mixing volume so as to form a cosmetic. When the cosmetic product is thoroughly mixed, the piston urges the product out of the mixing chamber and through an outlet. A moveable sealing member is configured to pass through the outlet so as to seal off fluid communication between the mixing chamber and the outlet and to urge any remaining cosmetic product through the outlet.
Multi-chamber hypochlorous acid dispenser
The invention provides a skin disinfectant for treating skin with eczema, preventing bacterial proliferation, and removing biofilm. Compositions of the invention include hypochlorous acid, acetic acid, water, and one or more additives or excipients. The formulation process removes metal ions, reduces ionic strength, controls pH, and reduces exposure to air, thus improving stability and lengthening shelf-life.
Bone cement applicator with three-way valve for pressure relief
Bone cement applicators and methods apply a bone cement dough in the region of the spine. The applicators and method have at least one tubular cartridge with an internal space, containing starting components of the bone cement, at least one dispensing plunger that is mobile in longitudinal direction on the inside of the at least one cartridge, a hose, an application opening through which the bone cement dough is applicable, a three-way valve being arranged in the hose or on a side of the hose facing the at least one cartridge and in fluid connection with the opening of the at least one cartridge and/or a collecting container arranged on the three-way valve for accommodation of bone cement dough. The three-way valve is appropriately designed and/or arranged in the bone cement applicator such that it, being in a first position, provides a fluid connection between the application opening and the opening of the at least one cartridge and closes a passage to the collecting container and, being in a second position, provides a fluid connection between the application opening and the collecting container and closes a passage to the opening of the at least one cartridge.
