20210123653 · 2021-04-29 ·

The present application generally relates to devices and methods for transporting items, and it more specifically relates to crate liners for use in delivering temperature-controlled items such as perishable food. The crate liners of the present application being insulated to maintain a temperature-controlled environment within the liner. The crate liners of the present application being collapsible to minimize the space required for storing the crate liner when not in use.

INSULATED SHIPPING CONTAINER

An insulated container for storing or shipping bottles includes a body and a lid. The body has a shell and an insert portion formed from an insulating material. The lid also has a shell and an insert portion formed from the insulating which meets the insert portion of the body to form cavities. The cavities include a temperature control pack cavity and four or more separate bottle storage cavities distributed around the temperature control pack cavity. Each of the bottle storage cavities is configured for receiving a bottle from among three or more different bottle types. Each of the bottle types has a different shape and/or size than each of the other bottle types. Each of the bottle storage cavities includes at least three bottle stop features on one or more internal surfaces. Each bottle stop feature is associated with a different one of the three or more bottle types.

Transportation box

A transportation box (100) including a plurality of first phase change materials (16), a plurality of second phase change materials (20), a first box (18) adapted to enclose a payload box (10), a second box (22) and an outer box (14). The payload box (10) is embedded with the plurality of second phase change materials (20). Further, each of the plurality of first phase change materials (16) is placed above and below the payload box (10). The second box (22) is adapted to contain temperature sensitive products and is nestable within the payload box (10). The first box (18) is nestable within the outer box (14). The plurality of first phase change materials (16) and the plurality of second phase change materials (20) are arranged in a manner such that air in between controls heat flow into and within the first box (18).

Temperature controlled case and temperature controlled package including the same

Disclosed herein is a temperature controlled case. The temperature controlled case includes a base and a stepped portion protruding from an upper surface of the base, wherein the stepped portion has a rectangular shape having a major axis and a minor axis in top plan view, a height of the base is the same as a maximum height of the stepped portion protruding from the base, and maximum distances from an edge of the base to the stepped portion in the major axis and minor axis directions are the same as the height of the base or the maximum height of the stepped portion.

Storage Tank Device Configured to Prevent Ice Formation
20210086978 · 2021-03-25 · ·

A cryogenic storage device includes a storage tank having an inner tank, an intermediate tank and an outer tank spaced apart from each other so as to define a fluid reservoir for holding a cryogenic liquid and a thermal insulative space bounding the fluid reservoir. A top cover closes the open top. An inlet supplies the cryogenic liquid to the fluid reservoir. A fluid sensor is configured to detect a pressure within the cryogenic storage device and is removably disposed within the fluid reservoir so as to allow an ice formation to be thawed without having to thaw the entire cryogenic storage device.

The Food and Beverage Carrier
20210070500 · 2021-03-11 ·

The Food and Beverage Carrier, is a transport and storage unit for food and drinks. It is constructed using various food grade materials which are used in the exterior and interior of the unit. Food and beverages are encased, held secure and separated within the unit by using separation panels, molded arms, bands and cup holders. These work together along with additional apparatuses, to secure and separate the food and drinks during storage and or transport.

Multipack Beverage Container Insulation System

An insulation system for beverage containers comprising: an inner container surrounding a plurality of cylindrical beverage containers contained in an inner container; a handle included in an inner container top panel; an outer container having a cavity defined in the outer container for receiving the inner container; a pair of lateral spacers disposed lengthwise along corresponding inner upper corners of the out container; an airspace defined between an inner container side panel and an external container side panel having a polygon cross-section; and, a handle access opening centrally defined in an outer container top panel allowing access to the handle of the inner container so that the beverage containers, inner container and out container can be transported using the handle wherein the width of the handle access opening is about one third the length of the outer panel top opening.

Knockdown cooler
10954056 · 2021-03-23 ·

A knockdown cooler with a number of removable chilling panels that cool an interior cavity of the cooler without exposing the contents therein to contact with unhygienic ice or water is provided. A collapsible storage member is positioned atop one or more structural support members to suspend the storage member in the chilling cavity, providing exposure to prolonged cooling impetus, a duration that may be prolonged if desired by removing and replacing one or more of the chilling panels without disrupting the contents of the cooler. A method of cooling items such as food, beverages, or the like without exposing the same to unhygienic ice or water in a knockdown cooler that can be assembled or disassembled without tools, mechanical fasteners, or adhesives is also provided.

TECHNIQUES FOR TRACKING PHYSICAL PARAMETERS SUCH AS TEMPERATURE OF TRANSPORTED BIOLOGICAL MATERIALS

A technique for tracking, for example, the temperature of one or more sample vials containing biological material stored in a low-temperature shipping vessel. Each sample vial has vial electronics that senses temperature and transmits temperature data to the reader head of a reader device, which has a controller that is not at the low temperature. In some implementations, the shipping vessel has a cap with a recess that houses the controller and a hollow plug that houses a cable that connects the controller to the reader head that is located in the vessel's cold interior sufficiently close to the sample vial to enable interaction with the vial electronics. In some implementations, the reader head transmits electrical power to the vial electronics. By tracking the temperature of individual sample vials rather than the temperature of the vessel interior, more-relevant temperature data is available.
