Methods for depositing an extrudable substance onto a surface
A method of depositing an extrudable substance comprises, with a cartridge positioned inside a sleeve between an inner tubular sleeve wall and an outer tubular sleeve wall, circumscribing the inner tubular sleeve wall, and also positioned between a twist-lock pressure cap, hermetically coupled with the cartridge, and a valve, communicatively coupled with the cartridge, linearly moving an annular plunger, received between an inner tubular cartridge wall and an outer tubular cartridge wall, circumscribing the inner tubular cartridge wall, toward the valve along a first axis to urge the extrudable substance from the cartridge, through the valve, and out of a nozzle that is communicatively coupled with the valve. The method also comprises controlling flow of the extrudable substance from the valve to the nozzle.
Methods for depositing an extrudable substance onto a surface
A method of depositing an extrudable substance onto a surface comprises (1) with a cartridge positioned inside a sleeve between an inner tubular sleeve wall and an outer tubular sleeve wall, circumscribing the inner tubular sleeve wall, and also positioned between a push-lock pressure cap, hermetically coupled with the cartridge, and a valve, communicatively coupled with the cartridge, linearly moving an annular plunger, received between an inner tubular cartridge wall and an outer tubular cartridge wall, circumscribing the inner tubular cartridge wall, toward the valve along a first axis to urge the extrudable substance from the cartridge, through the valve, and out of a nozzle that is communicatively coupled with the valve; and (2) controlling flow of the extrudable substance from the valve to the nozzle.
Telescoping syringe with one-way valve
A telescoping syringe suitable for use with medications and other materials is presented. The telescoping syringe includes a valve, a plunger, and a barrel. The valve further includes a barrier, an outlet(s) through the barrier, and an annular extension extending from the barrier. The plunger further includes an inlet(s) and a first side wall with a proximal wall. The barrel includes a second side wall with a distal wall at one end and an open end at another end. The plunger is extendable from and retractable into the barrel at the open end via slidable engagement between first and second walls. The valve directly contacts one end of the first wall so that an annular flange slidingly engages an annular groove. The valve and the barrel slidingly contact the plunger so as to open and to close the inlet(s) and/or the outlet(s). The inlet(s) in the open position permits gas to enter a first reservoir within the plunger as fluid is transferred from the first reservoir through the outlet(s) in the open position to a second reservoir within the barrel.
Device for dispensing essential oil or tincture
A portable liquid dispensing device which includes a liquid cartridge containing a prefilled desired liquid supported within the dispensing device. A dispensing mechanism is positioned within the device for engagement with the liquid cartridge for dispensing a desired amount of liquid from the liquid cartridge to an outlet exiting the device. An actuator button is also provided for actuating the dispensing mechanism and dispensing the desired amount of liquid through the outlet of the dispensing device. The dispensing mechanism includes a central shaft with a first end engaged with the actuator button, a second end is positioned adjacent the outlet, and a plunger assembly is supported on the central shaft intermediate the first and second ends for substantially sealed engagement with an internal surface of the liquid cartridge and central shaft to move the plunger assembly and liquid toward the outlet upon actuation of the actuator button. Upon deactivation of the actuator button, the central shaft slidably moves or retracts through the plunger assembly, without moving the plunger assembly.
Repeatedly refillable reusable dispenser
A refillable repetitively reusable dispensing apparatus including a dispenser housing having a sidewall, a base and an open top end. A removable cap is placed on the open top end. The cap has a plurality of apertures located therein. The side wall has an aperture located therethrough. There is a movable dispenser base located within the housing, wherein the movable dispenser base creates a seal with the sidewall. A screw rod having a knob attached, wherein when the knob is turned the screw rod is rotated. The screw rod and the knob are rotatably attached within the dispenser housing such that the knob protrudes through the aperture. A scissor lift is attached to the screw rod at one pair of ends. The scissor lift is attached to the movable dispenser base at the second pair of ends.
Material Cartridge Arrangement for a Dispensing System
A material cartridge arrangement (100, 101) for a dispensing system, comprising a material cartridge (2) having a first end (2a), an opposing second end (2b) and an ink material channel (5) extending between the first and second ends in the material cartridge (2), the ink material channel (5) being bounded by an ink material channel wall/walls (9) extending between the first (2a) and second ends (2b). An ink material pressurising device (3) is arranged to cause ink material hold in the ink material channel (5) to flow in a direction from said first end (2a) towards said second end (2b) and through an ink material outlet. At least one temperature sensing element (16) is arranged at a position along the direction of extension of the ink material channel (5) and arranged to measure a temperature at the ink material channel wall (9).
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SANITARY AND CONVENIENT FEEDING
An apparatus for feeding a person viscous food includes a food container including a food storage portion containing viscous food and a first connector on an open end of the food storage portion. The food storage portion being compressible. A feeding device includes a feeding surface and a second connector removably attachable to the first connector. A method for feeding the person includes removably connecting a food container containing viscous food to a feeding device and expelling an amount of the viscous food from the food container. At least a portion of the amount of expelled viscous food flows onto a feeding surface of the feeding device. The method further includes providing the portion of the viscous food on the feeding surface of the feeding device to the person.
SYRINGE BODIES
In some examples, an apparatus can include a syringe body including an electrical interface at a side surface of the syringe body, an interface at an end of the syringe body including an output at a distal surface of the syringe body, a print material particles reservoir located in the syringe body, and a structure to adapt a volume of the print material particles reservoir to move print material particles out of the print material particles reservoir through the output, where in response to the volume adapting structure moving from a first position to a second position, a signal is transmitted by the electrical interface.
Propellant-free continuous dispenser
A Propellant-Free continuous dispenser for dispensing liquid or viscous materials under pressure. The container comprises a tension surface, and a bag containing the liquid to be dispensed, which is in contact with the tension surface. An actuatable valve to which the bag is open serves to controllably release the liquid from the bag, and a diaphragm forms a floor to the tension surface underneath the bag. The diaphragm is elasticated and presses the bag against the tension surface to flatten the bag, thus to expel the contents under pressure.
HOUSING FOR RECEIVING FLOWABLE SUBSTANCE
A hollow elongated housing is configured to receive a flowable substance therein. A plunger assembly is configured to be movable along, at least in part, the hollow elongated housing. This is done in such a way that the plunger assembly, in use, moves, at least in part, the flowable substance along the hollow elongated housing. A plunger-moving assembly is configured to move the plunger assembly; this is done in such a way that the plunger-moving assembly, in use, urges the plunger assembly to move a predetermined amount of the flowable substance along the hollow elongated housing.
