Container with child-resistant latching mechanism
A container and dispensing system is provided that includes a tamper resistant and sealable container with a child resistant latching mechanism. The container includes at least one hopper for storing a controlled substance or sensitive material, and includes a container unit locking lid with a locking mechanism that may be opened through manual manipulation or through the use of a key. In at least one embodiment, the locking mechanism is a flat spring locking device. A designated person, in the event of a pill container, a pharmacist, may control an optionally required key for removing the lid during refill operations. For other sensitive materials where tampering or unauthorized access is desired, such as a feed hopper, the owner of the container may retain control of the optional key.
Child resistant and airtight container
Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.
Unit dose dispensing mechanisms
Mechanisms for dispensing items such as medications and medical supplies. Different mechanisms may be tailored to dispensing different kinds of items, for example medications in single dose packages, vials, syringes, or other similarly-shaped items. The dispensers may be placed in a dispensing unit that includes a lockable restock drawer and a dispense drawer into which items are dispensed by the dispensing mechanisms. The various kinds of dispensing mechanisms may be installed in the restock drawer in any workable proportion and arrangement. The dispensing mechanisms include multiple sensing technologies for tracking and inventory of items and for accurate sensing of items as they are dispensed.
Pill sorting container
An apparatus for sorting pills has a body defining a plurality of receptacles. A slide plate is positioned on the body. The slide plate defines a first plurality of openings. The slide plate is slidable relative to the body about and between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the first plurality of openings are offset from respective receptacles of the plurality of receptacles so that the slide plate blocks the plurality of receptacles. In the second position, the first plurality of openings are aligned with respective receptacles of the plurality of receptacles so that pills can pass through the first plurality of openings and into the receptacles. A retaining plate retains the slide plate against the body. The retaining plate defines a slot, and the slide plate has a tab that extends through the slot and permits articulation of the slide plate.
Protection sheet, press through package
A protection sheet is to be attached to a press through package that includes a sheet-shaped container including storing portions and a cover that seals the storing portions. The protection sheet includes a resin layer and a first adhesive layer. The resin layer is releasable from the press through package and includes slits from which the resin layer starts to be released. The first adhesive layer is bonded to the resin layer such that a surface of the first adhesive layer that is an opposite side from the resin layer is to be bonded to the cover.
Method, pharmacy, dispensing device, medication dispensing container and computer program product for dispensing discrete medicaments
The invention relates to a method, a pharmacy, a dispensing device, a medication dispensing container and a computer program product for dispensing discrete medicaments, wherein the method comprises the steps of: obtaining a value of a parameter indicative of a climatological condition or a state of the discrete medicaments as a result of said climatological condition; determining if the value of the parameter is within a first range or a second range, different from the first range; and choosing, for identical discrete medicaments that are subject to hygroscopic expansion, between a first medication dispensing container when the value of the parameter is within the first range and a second medication dispensing container when the value of the parameter is within the second range, wherein the second medication dispensing container has different dimensions than the first medication dispensing container.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AN ORAL NICOTINE DISPENSING SYSTEM
An apparatus and method for an oral nicotine dispensing system. The apparatus includes storing a plurality of a pods in a magazine within a body, receiving a fingerprint scan from a user via a fingerprint scanner coupled to the body, authenticating the fingerprint scan, de-activating a locking mechanism to allow access to at least a pod upon successful authentication of the fingerprint scan, and dispensing, using at least a drive mechanism, the at least a pod from the magazine through an opening of the body.
