DEVICE FOR MEASURING POWER IN RESPONSE TO VARYING STRIKING CONDITION
The present invention relates to a power measuring device capable of obtaining accurate measurement values corresponding to changes in the state or environment of a target to be struck, and in variable striking conditions, such as being struck in a state in which movement of the target occurs, and the like. To this end, the present invention includes an air pocket group (11g) configured such that air pockets (11) are respectively formed in regions leading to a score according to striking in a target when the power measuring device (10) corresponding to variable striking conditions is installed on a target used in a fighting exercise; a piping tubes (12) formed to transmit pressure to a pressure sensor (13a) on the other side according to a change in volume on the air pocket (11) to increase the efficiency of score determination, by measuring a power at the time of strike by determining a strength (power) of the strike with an impulsive force applied to the air pocket (11); and a check valve (12a) formed in each piping tube (12) connecting each air pocket (11) at a front end of the pressure sensor (13a) to prevent air discharged when the air pocket (11) corresponding to a target point is struck from flowing to another air pocket (11) through the piping tube (12) connected to the pressure sensor (13a).
TORSO PROTECTOR DEVICE FOR MARTIAL ARTS
A torso protector device for martial arts is disclosed. The device comprises a cylindrical torso protection body to protect a wearer's torso; a shoulder cover coupled to the cylindrical torso protection body at front and rear portions thereof, wherein the shoulder cover has a neck opening defined in a top thereof, wherein left and right arm passing openings are defined in the shoulder cover in the left and right sides thereof respectively; a wire coupled to the cylindrical torso protection body and the shoulder cover; a wire adjuster module coupled to the wire; and a screener to screen the wire, wherein an adjustment dial is operatively coupled to the wire adjuster module, wherein the rotation of the adjustment dial results in length increase or decrease of the wire.
Training Mannequin
A rotatable training mannequin used for training fighters or contact sports athletes is constructed of materials that mimic or simulate the upper human body. A sensor embedded in the training mannequin's head senses, detects, and transmits signals containing data for computer analysis. The data is related to motion parameters, which include linear and angular accelerations and velocities, of the training mannequin as a result of impacts and power strikes made by trainee to the training mannequin. Analysis provides feedback to the trainee related to the motion parameters to help the trainee learn proper footwork and where and how to make effective strikes. The parameter values obtained from the training mannequin can be calibrated and/or correlated against current or future real human parameter values due to strikes or other forces that produce damaging effects, such as concussions, and the training mannequin can be used to avoid or learn about concussions.
Training apparatus including a mannequin
A training apparatus 2 including a mannequin 4, for being struck by a person training for fighting, the apparatus comprising a support structure 6 for supporting the mannequin, the mannequin including a head 16, a torso, two arms 76 (having upper and lower arms) and two legs 10, and having joints at the shoulders 50, hips 56, knees 54 and elbows 52, wherein the joints at the shoulders are configured to variably adjust and fix the position of the upper arms relative to the torso in at least two orthogonal planes, and the joints at the elbows are configured to variably adjust and fix the position of the lower arms relative to the upper arms in at least one plane, the apparatus including ankle attachment means for removably attaching the ankles to the support structure.
Accuracy ball
An accuracy ball has a target strike cover, sensors, grips, and a data core that function in combination to provide a device that a trainer can hold and a fighter can practice striking accurately. The accuracy ball has target aim points that a user attempts to strike. The ball can gather data concerning the user's performance during a workout, including strike: accuracy/precision, strength/force, number and velocity, etc. The target strike cover can provide cushioning, as needed. Internal grasp handles allow the accuracy ball to be held safely by providing protection from errant strikes. Sensors including force plates, accelerometers, gyroscopes, location sensing, temperature, pressure, humidity, etc. can all be incorporated. On/off switch, IO port (such as micro-USB), wireless communication devices, display screen, control switches, etc. can be integrated therein as well. Exported data can be tracked, analyzed, graphed, and used to enhance learning and improve skill-sets.
Multi-headed, multi-abdomen, multi-armed apparatus for use with a slip and counter fight simulation/workout machine or stand alone device for fight simulation
A fight simulation multi-headed, multi-abdomen, multi-armed apparatus is adapted to be used in conjunction with a slip and counter fight simulation apparatus or stand alone apparatus. The fight simulation multi-headed, multi-abdomen, multi-armed apparatus includes a multi-headed member having at least one head attached to at least one abdomen and at least one arm having a glove appending member. Preferably, multiple heads are attached to multiple abdomens with multiple arm pairs to provide different punch configurations for the user to strike at. The multi-headed, multi-abdomen, multi-armed provides various angles adapted for a user to punch, knee, and/or do a flying knee.
MOTIVATIONAL KINESTHETIC VIRTUAL TRAINING PROGRAM FOR MARTIAL ARTS AND FITNESS
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a computer system executing a predetermined motivational kinesthetic martial arts training program (MKMATP), the system including a preparation phase, a participation phase and a simulation phase, with a score being generated indicative of a user's move performance during the participation phase, and displaying an avatar performing moves at the user's score level during the simulation phase. The system may include sensors monitoring the user's physical space. The preparation phase may be mandatory based on an enforcement policy. The participation phase may depict various physical moves, and may generate scores indicative of the user's performance of the moves. The simulation phase may produce a computer-simulated scenario of an avatar performing the moves against an opponent, based on the user's score and randomized variables. In an illustrative example, users may learn martial arts skills and stay motivated by viewing the simulation action, while becoming physically fit.
