A proximity training device for use in training of activities (FIGS. 2, 20 and 21), that anybody can use whether they are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced activity enthusiast (user) participating in martial arts or another partner-oriented activities. The user is able to utilize the training device safely allowing them to maintain their physical fitness activities. The user engages the training device maintaining an upright posture and initiates movement thereby activating the training device. It is held within the same proximity of an in-person training partner, allowing the user to practice the fundamental biomechanical responses and other skills required for their preferred chosen activities. The training device is lightweight and easy to store. The arms are easily removed and are adjustable for optimizing user comfort and training device functionality. The training device is easy to assemble and disassemble which allows for easy transport and storage of the training device.

Embodiments provide a hand covering, such as a glove or mitten, with a retainer for holding the hand covering in a retaining configuration when not being worn covering the hand of a user. The hand covering may include a central hand portion, a finger receiving portion extending from the central hand portion, and a strap. The hand covering may extend generally in a longitudinal direction from a proximal side at the central hand portion to a distal side at the finger receiving portion. The central hand portion may define at the proximal side a cavity configured to receive a hand. The strap may be attached to an inside face of the central hand portion and extend generally lateral to the longitudinal direction. The strap may be separable from the inside face in between a first attached end and a second attached end to define a passageway configured to receive a hand.

Disclosed is a method of playing rope tag fighting game which involves holding a rope by two fighters, wherein each fighter can hold the rope using any one hand and the other hand of each fighter is left free. A first-round of game is played by striking a fighter by opponent fighter using free hand and vice versa while holding the rope. The winner of the first-round is decided. The first-round winner decides which hands of two fighters to hold the rope prior to begin the second-round. The fighters shall use wrestling or kick boxing skills to win second-round. The second-round winner is the fighter that did not lose the rope while striking each other. The fighters must hold the rope, for third-round, using free hands of second-round and the winner of the game is decided by choosing best player of the three rounds.

Martial arts shin conditioning target

A portable kicking target for shin conditioning during martial arts training, particularly muai thai. The target may be attached to a conventional punching bag to provide target areas of varying hardness, such that, over time, trainee shin bones and the shin area of the legs are conditioned and strengthened. The target comprises a radially spaced-apart pair of impact pockets that are to be repeatedly kicked. Each impact pocket houses a plurality of elongated, generally parallel, plastic impact tubes. One pocket has a plurality of soft tubes, and the other houses a plurality of harder tubes. The kicker's shins are strengthened over time by repeated contact with the impact pockets. Training starts with the softer impact tubes. After the trainee's shins strengthen, the trainee may increase impact force by switching to the harder impact tubes, and eventually micro fractures will develop as conditioning peaks.
