INTERCONNECT FOR FREIGHT CONTAINERS
20170129697 · 2017-05-11 ·

An interconnector (400) for coupling two corner units of adjacent ISO freight containers in an end-to-end or side-to-side configuration, wherein each of the corner units is able to receive a part of the interconnector. The interconnector (400) comprises a main body (401) with an internal chamber (405) inside. A first clamp head (404) and a second clamp head (409) are positioned at opposite ends (402, 403) of the main body (401) and a shaft (408) is rotatably mounted within the internal chamber (405). The first clamp head (404) is substantially hook shaped and is provided in a fixed position relative to the main body (401), whilst the second clamp head (409) is fixed to one end of the shaft (408) and is able to rotate with the shaft (408). A bias actuator works to bias the rotation of the shaft (408) and the second clamp head (409) relative to the main body (401) to prevent accidental decoupling of the containers.

Container Auto-Lock System
20170107050 · 2017-04-20 ·

A container according the present application includes a container auto-lock system. The container auto-lock system is integrated into the outboard apertures of the lower castings of a domestic sized container. The container auto-lock system includes a locking mechanism which is configured to recess when the container is lowered onto a surface lacking an acceptable receiving aperture. The locking mechanism is also configured to automatically lock when placed on top of a domestic sized container. The container auto-lock system is configured to be compatible with international sized container by allowing the inboard apertures on each lower casting to be available for attaching the domestic container on top of an international container with a conventional locking device.

Methods and Apparatus for Transporting, Storing and Dispensing Oilfield Chemicals
20170030176 · 2017-02-02 ·

A method and system for chemical transportation, storage, and dispensation, which provides a base with ISO mounts for enabling a ISO tank, van container, screw conveyor, or the like to be carried thereon. The base accommodates either or both of roll off or hooklift hoist technologies to allow easy loading and unloading. A first end of the base is carried by one or more rollers, and the underside is structured to allow rolling of the base on the bed or rack of the transport vehicle. After unloading the base with its ISO cargo, the transport vehicle leaves the well site and is free to retrieve another ISO tank or container as appropriate, thereby lowering the tractor-trailer capital requirements to support fracturing operations. Weigh scales allow the weight of the ISO container to be determined to allow the operator to monitor the inventory of chemicals as they are used.

Container comprising corner member incorporating lock unit

A container for transporting cargo includes: a corner member that is disposed at a lower corner of the container and includes an inner space and a bottom hole that is formed in a lower end portion of the corner member to communicate with the inner space; and a locking unit that is used to fasten two adjacent containers when a plurality of the containers are stacked in multiple stages, is movable between a storage position at which the locking unit is stored in the inner space of the corner member and a use position at which the locking unit protrudes to the outside through the bottom hole of the corner member, and fastens the two adjacent containers at the use position. The locking unit may be housed and easily stored in the inner space of the corner member to reduce the risk of being lost during storage.

INTER-MODAL SHIPPING MINI-CONTAINERS AND METHOD OF USING SAME
20170021999 · 2017-01-26 ·

A mini-container for inter-modal shipping includes panels forming a pair of oppositely disposed side walls, a front wall, a back wall opposite to said front wall, a floor, and a roof. The side, front and back walls may releasably lock to one another to form an enclosure and unlock from one another. The panels are positionable between an erected-for-use configuration and a collapsed storage configuration. In the storage configuration, the side, front and back panels are stacked lying flat to form a stack of the panels laying on the base. The stack of panels is overlaid with the roof. The erected mini-containers are sized for space efficient loading of an inter-modal mobile transport conveyor such as an automobile carrier, train, ship or plane. In their storage configuration the mini-containers may be carried on the mobile transport conveyors for later use carrying cargo and may be carried in a stack simultaneously with mini-containers carrying cargo. The mini-containers may be sized so as to enclose at least two standard-sized pallets or at least three standard-sized boxes positioned side-by-side and adjacent the base of the mini-container.

Disclosed are apparatus, systems, and methods, including a ground transport drive container comprising an outer container having a cuboid shape and comprising a plurality of fittings for securing the outer container to another apparatus; and a drive wheel assembly. The drive wheel assembly comprises one or more wheels and a deployment mechanism secured to the one or more wheels. An actuating member actuates the drive wheel assembly between a stowed configuration and one or more deployed configurations. In the stowed configuration, the drive wheel assembly is housed entirely within the outer container. In the one or more deployed configurations, the drive wheel assembly extends from the outer container.

INTEROPERABLE PREFABRICATED MOBILE STRUCTURE
20250206522 · 2025-06-26 ·

A method of moving a prefabricated mobile structure, comprising: aligning a spreader configured to engage with corner fittings of a standard freight container to connect with respective attachment points on the prefabricated mobile structure; engaging attachment mechanisms of the spreader with the attachment points of the prefabricated mobile structure; using the spreader to lift the prefabricated mobile structure; and using the spreader to place the prefabricated mobile structure onto a vehicle. The prefabricated mobile structure comprises: a rectangular prism shaped body having a length that is shorter than that of a standard shipping container; and extension members that extend substantially beyond a front or rear face of the mobile structure, each comprising one of the attachment points, where the extension members extend far enough beyond the front or rear face of the prefabricated mobile structure to allow the attachment mechanisms of the spreader to connect with the attachment points.
