Spout for a package and package-spout assembly
A spout includes a base frame fittable about a designated package pour opening surface area, an opening assembly moveably coupled to the base frame and adapted to at least partially cut/rupture/open/pierce the pour opening surface area, and a control device configured to control the opening assembly. The control device comprises at least one interaction element connected to the opening assembly, at least one control ring rotatably coupled to the base frame and at least one interaction member connected/coupled to the control ring and configured to interact with the interaction element. In use, upon rotating the control ring, the interaction member interacts with the interaction element to induce translation of a cutter of the opening assembly for controlling the opening assembly from a rest configuration to an operative configuration and an axial end portion of the interaction member is arranged within a rotation plane fixed relative to the base frame.
VIAL WITH LID ATTACHMENT MECHANISM
A re-sealable container is disclosed having a lid, a body, an attachment mechanism, and a seal. The seal may extend from, or be attached to, the lid and engage at least a portion of the body, such as the side wall, including the body sealing surface and/or the lip. The engagement of the seal and body creates a seal that prevents the ingress of moisture and ambient conditions into an interior space of the body. The attachment mechanism may retain the lid in a seated, closed position on the body. The configuration of the seal and attachment mechanism accommodate a degree of error in the joining and placement of the lid and body while allowing for both the formation of a seal between the lid and body and the locking of the lid when the lid is in a closed position.
Self-adjusting preload for memory alloy wire
A preload mechanism for an actuator is disclosed that includes a rotating element configured to rotate about a pivot. The preload mechanism also includes a bias element with a first end that is coupled to a second contact point of the rotating element and a second end configured to be pinned relative to the pivot. The bias element has a line of action extending from the second end through the first end. The line of action has an offset distance that is the minimum distance between the line of action and the pivot. The offset distance has a first value when the rotating element is in the first position and a second value when the rotating element is the second position, the second value being smaller than the first value.
TAMPER-EVIDENT CLOSURE WITH TAMPER-EVIDENT STRIP AND HOLDING CHAMBER FOR TAMPER-EVIDENT STRIP
A closure for a container includes a closure body and a lid hingedly connected to the closure body. A tamper-evident strip is connected to the closure body by at least one frangible connection. The tamper-evident strip is coupled to the lid upon first-time closing of the lid, such that the lid is coupled to the closure body via the tamper-evident strip. The lid includes a holding chamber, which receives the tamper-evident strip upon first-time closing. The holding chamber has an engagement member adapted to move beyond and engage the tamper-evident strip upon first-time closing of the lid. The engagement member holds the tamper-evident strip in the holding chamber when it is separated from the closure body.
Novel Lid Assembly
The present invention is related to a lid assembly, for a container, comprising: a base member, removably mounting to said container, having at least one engagement member and a passage fluidically communicable with the interior of said container, the top surface of said base member having a peripheral wall defining a receptacle thereon; a lid, the peripheral wall thereof having a first set of engagement member and a second set of engagement member; a ring member, movably mounting to said base member to move between a first position where said ring member engaging with said base member and a second position where said ring member disengaging with said base member, the peripheral wall of said ring member having at least one engagement member profiled for removably securing said lid inside the cavity of said ring member, wherein said lid being movable within said cavity via said second set of engagement member of said lid movably connecting to said engagement member of said ring member; and characterized in that: said lid assembly can be configured to assume a closed configuration where the ambient being not communicable with the interior of said container, in which: said ring member, with said lid, being at said first position and in said receptacle of said base member, wherein said first set of engagement member of said lid engaging with said engagement member of said base member, and said second set of engagement member of said lid engaging with said engagement member of said ring member; an open configuration where the ambient being communicable with the interior of said container, in which: said ring member, with said lid, being at said second position, wherein said first set of engagement member of said lid disengaging with said engagement member of said base member, and said second set of engagement member of said lid engaging with said engagement member of said ring member; and in said open configuration, said lid can be optionally removed from said ring member by positioning said second set of engagement member of said lid into a position where said second set of engagement member of said lid can be disengaged from said engagement member of said ring member.
Tamper evident flip top closure
A package includes a container and a closure coupled to the container to control release of product therefrom. The closure includes a closure body coupled to the container and a flip-top cap coupled to the closure body and configured to pivot relative to the closure cap between a closed position and an opened position.
DUAL COMPARTMENT STORAGE APPARATUS
A dual compartment storage apparatus includes a main compartment defining a first internal volume for holding a first good, a first closure member removably attached to the first end of the main compartment to selectively close the first internal volume, a secondary compartment defining a second internal volume for holding a second good, a second closure member hingedly attached to the secondary compartment, the second closure member operable to selectively open and close the second internal volume, and an attachment mechanism at a bottom end of the secondary compartment, the attachment mechanism configured to attach securely and removably onto the second end of the main compartment, wherein the main compartment and the secondary compartment are configured to be connected end-to-end, allowing separate access to the first and second internal volumes without interfering with each other.
