Security closure system and devices for containers
10994897 · 2021-05-04 ·

The present invention relates to a security closure system and devices for containers, which can be used in any type of container and can be validated by means of simple sight and touch, thereby being tamper-resistant and preventing any adulteration by means of the non-authorised re-use of the original container. The system and devices are preferably used in containers made from vitreous materials such as ceramics, plastics and thermoplastics, owing to the properties of stiffness. The devices of the invention can be used for any product and any type of container, such as bottles for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, containers for cosmetics, perfumes, drugs, food and valuable items such as watches, electronics or fine jewelry.

FLIP-TOP CLOSURE

A flip-top closure includes first and second polymeric closure portions. The first closure portion includes a top wall portion, a sealing mechanism and an annular skirt portion. The second closure portion includes a tamper-evident band. The closure portions are attached by a line of weakness. The closure portions are further attached via a hinge. The hinge includes a locking tab, a flexible tab and linking segments. The locking tab extends further outwardly from a center of the closure in a closed position than the flexible tab and the linking segments. During the opening of the flip-top closure, the locking tab moves and passes the flexible tab such that the flip-top closure locks in a fully open position.

Twist and flip lock closure

A twist and flip closure includes first and second closure portions. The first closure portion includes a top wall portion, a skirt portion, and first and second frangible connections. The first frangible connection extends around the closure circumference. The second frangible connection has first and second sections. The second frangible connection is spaced from the first frangible connection. At least a portion of the second frangible connection is located further from the top wall portion than a portion of the first frangible connection. The second frangible connection defines an area adapted to form a tab. The second closure portion includes a tamper-evident band. The closure is adapted to be opened by twisting to break the frangible connections and expose the tab and then flipping the first closure portion from the second closure portion via the exposed tab. The closure is adapted to be locked when flipped.

A tamper-evident closure containing an outer cap with a sidewall and a top wall having a tamper-evident member connected by a frangible structure; an inner cap with a sidewall and a top wall, coaxially nested in the outer cap; a protruding element between the top walls; a first engagement mechanism for driving the outer cap and the inner cap upon application of a rotational torque in a screwing direction; a second engagement mechanism for driving the outer cap and the inner cap upon application of a rotational torque in an unscrewing direction; and a third engagement mechanism for breaking the frangible structure upon rotational movement of the outer and inner caps.

CLOSURE FOR A CONTAINER AND COMPONENTS FOR A CLOSURE

A closing element for restricting communication of a substance through an access passage of a body includes a first portion for being removably affixed to the body, the first portion having an inner wall, an outer wall surrounding the inner wall, and at least one bridge connecting the outer wall with the inner wall. The closing element has a second portion for being non-removably affixed to the body and a movable connecting element extending between the first portion and the second portion. The closing element has an unactuated configuration wherein a major portion of the length of the connecting element is located laterally between the inner wall and the outer wall to shield the major portion of the length of the connecting element.

SAFETY CAPSULE FOR A CONTAINER
20210061529 · 2021-03-04 ·

A closure capsule for closing a container, comprising: a cap (2) to be associated with the container and comprising a frangible mouth (20); a cutter (3) for opening said frangible mouth (20); a covering (4) protecting said cap (2) and said cutter (3) and comprising an intactness band (40); first toothed connection means (5) afforded on the covering (4) and on the cutter (3) and that make said cutter (3) and said covering (4) rotate integrally. The closure capsule is movable from a initial configuration to an operative configuration, wherein the intactness band is removed and the frangible mouth is broken. In the initial configuration, the cap, the cutter and the covering contribute to the definition of walls of a reservoir (8) for containing a product to be dropped into the container in the operative configuration.

A closure capsule for closing a container, comprising: a cap (2) to be associated with a container and comprising a frangible mouth (20); a cutter (3) comprising a cutting edge (30) designed to open said frangible mouth (20); at least the cap (2) and the cutter (3) in combination defining a reservoir (8) for containing a substance to be dropped into the container when the frangible mouth (20) is opened; a protective covering (4) for the cap (2) and the cutter (3), separate from the cutter (3) and, in turn, comprising: i) a lateral wall (40) that encloses a zone (402) for at least partially housing the cutter (3); ii) a base (41) from which said lateral wall (40) extends; transmitting means (5) for transmitting an opening torque, from the covering to the cutter, for opening the frangible mouth (20), said transmitting means (5) comprising a first and a second portion (51, 52) incorporated in the covering (4) and in the cutter (3), respectively; said first portion (51) being incorporated in the base (41).

CLOSURE

A closure (10) for a container mouth, comprising a cap (15) and a retaining ring (20) for retaining the closure on a container mouth, a tether (45) is provided between the cap side wall and the retaining ring along the circumference of the cap, one end of the tether is fixedly connected to the side wall and the other end is fixedly connected to the retaining ring, in which the tether is connected to the cap by a root (30) and extends from the root in a clockwise direction.

Pull-off closure for containers

A pull-off closure for containers having an opening whose end portion defines an annular collar projecting externally; the closure including: an upper portion shaped in the form of a shell having an upper face from which extends a collar, which can be turned over to abut on the annular collar of the container, during capping of the container, the upper face and the collar forming, at their connection, an annular edge; lines of weakness formed on the upper face and on the collar forming an opening strip which extends in a tab extending beyond the collar; a gripping element which can be associated with the tab, wherein the lines of weakness extend on the collar outside the annular edge.

Tamper evidence bridges

An apparatus and a method are provided for a container cap comprising a plurality of tamper evidence bridges configured to provide evidence that the container cap has been removed from a container by other than a manufacturer of the container. The tamper evidence bridges comprise a small tab of material that extends from a bottom-most edge of the container cap to a neck ring of the container. The tamper evidence bridges are configured to break, or snap, when the container cap is rotated relative to the neck ring. Broken tamper evidence bridges provide readily visible evidence to an end-user of the container that the container cap has been removed by other than the manufacturer of the container. The high visibility of the tamper evidence bridges serves to discourage vendors from attempting to refill and resale of the used containers.
