A cap for accommodating a compound includes a body with an opening. The opening penetrates from an upper to a lower end portion of the body by a first length. A membrane seals a lower end portion of the opening. A lid is removably coupled and moveable relative to the body. The lid includes a protrusion extending downwardly from an interior surface of the lid by a second length greater than the first length. The opening accommodates a lower end portion of the protrusion. A spacer removably couples with the lid and interposes between the lid and the body. The spacer configurable between a first state in which the spacer is engaged with the lid, which prevents the protrusion from penetrating the membrane, and a second state in which the spacer is disengaged with the lid, which allows the protrusion of the lid to penetrate the membrane of the body.

Closure

A tamper-evident closure comprising a cap and a retaining ring, the retaining ring is connected to the sidewall by a plurality of bridges, at least one of the bridges is frangible and at least one of the bridges is non-frangible whereby to form a link between the ring and the sidewall.

A flip top cap for containers providing evidence of first opening includes a cover part and a pourer part coupled by a hinge arrangement and produced as a single piece. The cover part is rotatable around the hinge arrangement to be brought from a closed position engaging the pourer part to an open and separate position with respect to the pourer part, an engagement system engaging the cover part after rotation into a closed position on the pourer part. The engagement system is breakable and is arranged partly on the cover part and partly on the pourer part, and remains integral with at least one of the cover or pourer parts when they are broken at the first opening.

An apparatus and a method are provided for a container cap comprising a plurality of tamper evidence bridges configured to provide evidence that the container cap has been removed from a container by other than a manufacturer of the container. The tamper evidence bridges comprise a small tab of material that extends from a bottom-most edge of the container cap to a neck ring of the container. The tamper evidence bridges are configured to break, or snap, when the container cap is rotated relative to the neck ring. Broken tamper evidence bridges provide readily visible evidence to an end-user of the container that the container cap has been removed by other than the manufacturer of the container. The high visibility of the tamper evidence bridges serves to discourage vendors from attempting to refill and resale of the used containers.

Closure with rotation-inhibiting projection

A closure includes first and second closure portions. The first closure portion includes a polymeric top wall portion and an annular skirt portion. The skirt portion includes exterior and interior surfaces. The interior surface includes an internal thread formation for mating engagement with an external thread formation of a container and at least one rotation-inhibiting projection. The rotation-inhibiting projection is located to contact the external thread formation. The rotation-inhibiting projection is in the general shape of the letter “C” prior to engagement with the external thread formation of the container. The second closure portion includes a polymeric tamper-evident band.

Tamper Evident Container

A tamper evident device, comprising: a container; a valve; and a cap; wherein both the valve and the cap may each have a tamper evident device. The cap and the valve are configured to matingly engage in a closed and open position, such that any excess liquid is recaptured and directed back into the container.
