The bottom end of the container is open to the interior space and includes complementary dimensions to a shipping pallet. Connectors are disposed along the side walls to removably secure the container to a pallet. The connectors including a sliding shaft having an aperture for receiving a lock. A second plurality of grooves are disposed along the closed top end of the container body to allow the container to be used while inverted and transported by a forklift.

A pallet assembly including a plurality of trays separated by supports is provided. Each of the supports includes a rectangular portion and a wing portion. The wing portion is formed from two layers of materials connected together by a locking tab or other suitable means. The wing portion can include a first portion and a second portion at an angle with respect to the first portion. A tab can be used to facilitate placing the first portion of the wing at the angle with respect to the second portion of the wing.

A transportable container for flowable bulk goods includes a bottom support and a stretch wrap spirally wrapped around the bottom support and extending vertically in relationship to the bottom support. Bulk goods are disposed within the stretch wrap and at least of portion of the bulk goods are disposed in direct contact with the stretch wrap to squeeze the bulk goods together and generate hoop forces for stabilizing the bulk goods in the transportable container. The transportable container has a shape that varies radially in vertical relationship to the bottom support for adjusting the hoop forces vertically along the transportable container. The varied shape of the transportable container can be, for example, tapered, hour-glass shaped, or pumpkin shaped.

FLEXIBLE DYNAMIC PACKAGING OF PRODUCT ENTITIES

A modular shipping container includes a layer of two side pieces positioned against sides of a component of several components with a same width. The side piece include pegs protruding from a top of each side piece and bottom openings in a bottom of each side piece sized and positioned to conform to the pegs. The container includes one or more end pieces on the same layer as the side pieces. Each end of the end piece is shaped to attach to an end of a side piece and is shaped to maintain a width between the side pieces. A length of an area formed by the side pieces and end pieces is sized to accommodate a maximum length of each component. The components have a height that is an integer number of standard units and a height of the side pieces matches an integral number of the standard units.

The top cap guard includes a sheet having opposed first edges and opposed second edges and defining first and second apertures along each of the first edges and each of the second edges, respectively, and first and second rigid members respectively disposable along one of the first and second edges, respectively. The top cap guard further includes first and second flaps. The first flaps are respectively attached to one of the first edges. Each first flap is configured to wrap around the corresponding first rigid member and includes first tongues respectively securable in corresponding ones of the first apertures. The second flaps are respectively attached to one of the second edges.
