In-ground receptacle and installation thereof

An in-ground apparatus includes a receptacle and a liner into which the receptacle can be placed and removed. The liner may be a molded plastic liner having a tapering body to permit stacking. The lower margin includes a set of seats for anchor fittings in the form of re-bar prongs that, when installed, extend radially outwardly from the liner. The seats, and hence the prongs, are located upwardly of the bottom edge of the liner so that they are embedded above and below when concrete is poured around the bottom of the liner. The bottom edge of the liner is folded upwardly and inwardly to form a V-shaped channel. The seats for the anchor fittings extend across the channel. The seats may include a cylindrical wall sealed from the inside of the liner. The liner may have intermediate stiffening ribs between bottom and top. The top of the liner may have a seat for the receptacle, and an external concrete break.

Refuse carts with retention corral

Refuse carts and refuse cart retention systems for use in retaining refuse carts inside a corral and transporting or emptying the carts when needed. The refuse cart retention system generally includes a retention corral and at least one large refuse cart and/or at least one small refuse cart. Various mechanisms for retaining refuse carts in the retention corral include retention structures to receive a segment of a refuse cart frame, and frame protrusions connected to the retention corral that can be placed in tight contact with a cutout in the sides of the refuse carts having a geometry substantially identical to that of the frame protrusions.

WASTE RECEPTACLE DOLLIES AND ANCHORS

Dollies and anchors for securing the movement of waste receptacles are provided. A dolly includes a dolly base configured to securely receive an enclosed base portion of a waste receptacle. The waste receptacle has at least one sidewall extending from the enclosed base portion to define an open top portion. The open top portion is defined by a rim and configured to receive waste material therethrough. The dolly base is coupled with at least two wheels and at least one elongated shaft. At least one elongated shaft extends in a direction substantially traverse to the dolly base.

Lightweight commercial dumpster

A commercial dumpster includes a bag, a frame that supports the bag in an upright manner, and wheels that are attached to the frame. In some embodiments, the bag includes an open top and a first pair of sleeves that extend from opposing sides of a top edge of the bag. The frame includes a pair of top side bars that extend through the sleeves of the bag.

An intermediate container is provided for receiving refuse from a primary refuse container that is configured to be carried by a top-loading refuse collection vehicle lifter. The intermediate container comprises a front wall, a rear wall, opposed sidewalls, and a bottom wall defining a total refuse collection volume. An extension assembly that is configured for mounting a primary refuse collection container lifter thereon is located substantially beneath the total refuse collection volume intermediate the front wall and the rear wall, with a portion of the extension assembly being movable between a first, retracted position for storage and for dumping a primary refuse collection container and a second, extended position for engaging and releasing the primary refuse collection container at a location laterally spaced from the intermediate container refuse collection vehicle. Further, the intermediate container is free of fork receivers and includes at least one mounting member for non-destructive removable attachment to the collection vehicle lifter.

Commercial waste container systems and methods

The present disclosure includes a commercial waste system including a commercial waste container and a commercial waste vehicle. The waste container includes an interior volume that may be divided by a container divider into at least two container chambers, to collect waste and/or other multiple types of recoverable (recyclable) materials without comingling. Additionally, the rear loading waste vehicle includes a hopper divider and a storage divider, such that collection of the multiple types of waste from the divided container does not comingle the collected materials.

A container includes an enclosure housing an interior compartment for containing waste and further defining slots on sides of the enclosure for receiving lifting forks, a lockable rear lid pivotally connected to the enclosure, and an automatic unlocking mechanism actuated by lifting forks inserted into the slots for unlocking the rear lid to enable waste to be dumped from the container. The container may also be automatically re-locked when the forks are withdrawn from the slots.

The ornamental surround obscures from view the front sidewall, the right sidewall having the right fork pocket, the left sidewall having the left fork pocket, the rear sidewall, and the at least one hinged top of the container by an observer standing on the ground. The container and the attached ornamental surround being liftable as a unit by forks of a front loading garbage truck to empty the trash and/or the recyclables from the unitary ornamental front load container.

A refuse receptacle is disclosed, having a body with an upper and a lower portion, the upper portion having a top rim forming a gusset with a vertical wall and a horizontal wall, the lower portion having a bottom side with a base rim. On the back side of the upper portion is a handle attached to the body of the receptacle. The handle is attached to the upper portion by at least one projecting sidewall. A lid is included, having a convex upper surface and two sets of opposing sidewalk. The opposing sidewalls correspond with the top rim of the body. The lid includes at least one projection to attach to the handle with a securing plate and fastener. The lower portion includes a drainage plug so that liquids within the body can be easily drained. A pair of wheels arc connected by an axle and housed within wheel recesses.

A waste container includes a body portion including an outer wall extending upward from a base wall. A lid is pivotably secured to the body portion. A latch assembly selectively secures the lid to the body portion. The latch assembly includes a handle rotatably mounted to the lid and connected to a lower actuator portion. The lower actuator portion has a disk portion with at least one cam portion. The disk portion is rotatable upon rotation of the handle by a user. Rotation of the cam portion selectively releases the latch assembly securing the lid to the body portion.
