A vehicle includes a chassis, a battery coupled to chassis, and a body pivotally coupled to the chassis by a pivot assembly and including a terminal electrically coupled to one or more electrical components of the body. The vehicle further includes an actuator coupled to the body and the chassis and configured to lift and pivot the body relative to the chassis and a battery cable electrically coupling the battery to the terminal. The battery cable is configured to flex at a first angle when the body is in a first position supported by the chassis and configured to flex at a second angle when the body is in a second position lifted above the chassis.

The refuse hopper is selectively movable between a horizontally disposed loading position and a dumping position. A compactor plate is pivotally mounted to the hopper and is movable between an upwardly extending loading position to a refuse packing position within the hopper. The hopper has a volume of about 2-4.5 cubic yards.

The ejector can transition from a first position that is spaced from the tailgate to a second position proximate the tailgate. The actuator is configured to transition the ejector from the first position to the second position. The processor is configured to selectively unlock the tailgate and transition the ejector from the first position to the second position in response to receiving a single input to thereby eject refuse from the receptacle without receiving multiple inputs.

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body, a lock, a tailgate, an ejector, an actuator, and a processor. The body defines a receptacle for storing refuse. Implementations of a collapsible tilt truck that can be used to collect, transport, and dump refuse are provided. The tilt truck is configured so that it can be collapsed (or folded) when not in use, thereby facilitating its storage in a compact space. The tilt truck comprises a collapsible frame and collection bin. The collection bin comprises a two-part bottom panel, a front panel, a back panel, and two lateral side panels, each of the panels is attached to the collapsible frame. The lateral side panels are configured to fold when the tilt truck is collapsed. In some implementation, the collapsible tilt truck includes a trash bag bracket that is positioned within the collection bin. In this way, a trash bag can be secured to the trash bag bracket and used to collect and transport loose trash and/or recyclables separately from the refuse generally stored in the collection bin.
