Variable cross-section combine feeder slat

A combine feeder slat having a first base, a second base, and a slat body. The bases are located at respective ends of the slat, and have respective upper and lower surfaces. The slat body extends longitudinally and connects the bases. The slat body has a variable profile as viewed along the longitudinal direction, that transitions from a first profile shape at the first base, to an intermediate profile shape between the first base and the second base, to a second profile shape at the second base. The intermediate profile shape includes a front lip, a rear lip, and an upward-facing concave projection that connects the front lip to the rear lip and extends below an attachment plane defined between the first lower surface and the second lower surface. The first base, second base, and slat body are made from a unitary wrought metal part.

METHOD AND APPARATUSES FOR FEEDING ITEMS OF LAUNDRY TO A LAUNDRY MACHINE, SUCH AS IN PARTICULAR A MANGLE

Laundry items are spread out and deposited on a feed conveyor which inserts the laundry item into a mangle. The front edge of the laundry item is stretched by a spreading device, wherein spreading clamps are moved apart on the basis of a measured length of the front edge. Until now, the front edge length item has been measured at the spreading device, which increases the duration of the spreading operation. The invention measures the front edge length upstream of the spreading device when the laundry item is still hanging in two loading clamps of a loading station. So that the front edge length can be contactlessly determined from the lowest point of the sag of the front edge, the distance between the loading clamps is a greater distance than previously. As a result, a V-like sag is formed, the lowest point of which can be contactlessly determined.

Weighing system for item in container on conveyor

A weighing system for weighing an item when being conveyed comprising: at least one container for transporting the item; a conveyor means for conveying said container in a first vertical direction; and a weighing device for weighing the container;
wherein the container is connected to the conveyor means via a primary connecting means and a secondary connecting means, each of them comprising a first section permanently connected to the container, a second section permanently connected to the conveyor means, and a third section hingedly connected to both the first section and the second section;
and wherein the third section of the primary connecting means is rotatable about a first axis transverse to the conveying direction and the third section of the secondary connecting means is rotatable about a second axis parallel to said conveying direction such that the container may move from the first vertical position to a second vertical position.

A conveyor belt includes a plurality of modules arranged in succession and articulated with each other. First and second projections of the modules have mating profiles to allow the insertion of a connecting pin between adjacent modules. Each module includes housings for respective rolling balls projecting through a respective circular opening. The ratio between the diameter of at least one circumferential portion of the housing and the diameter of the respective rolling ball is between 0.8 and 0.6, while at least part of a rib is provided below, near the lower surface, with at least one respective projecting portion arranged for snap-fit insertion of the rolling ball into the respective housing seat.

Veneer sheet conveying apparatus and method of controlling the same

When a veneer conveyed out by a discharging conveyor is a product veneer, a sorting apparatus is rotationally driven to pierce the product veneer with needle-like bodies by a guide member and a push-up member (a rolling bearing). When the veneer conveyed out by the discharging conveyor is a trash veneer, the sorting apparatus is rotationally driven so that the trash veneer is not pierced by the needle-like body. With this configuration, the progress of the abrasion of the needle-like bodies can be delayed as compared with the configuration in which the product veneer and the trash veneer are both pierced by the needle-like body. As a result, the time to replace the needle-like bodies can be extended, whereby the running cost can be reduced.

BEVERAGE DISPENSING APPARATUS

In an automated beverage dispensing system, a conveyance system defines a plurality of cup locations and operates to sequentially move the plurality of cup locations through a plurality of indexed locations. A cup dispensing system is configured to receive a supply of cups. The cup dispensing system is operable to dispense a cup to a cup loading location that coincides with an indexed location of the plurality of indexed locations. A beverage dispensing system is configured to dispense a beverage at a beverage dispense location of the plurality of indexed locations. A computer associates an ordered beverage to a cup location of the plurality of cup locations.
