Modular transfer units, systems, and methods
A modular transfer system with a primary flow system and a diverter system. The primary flow system includes a primary flow belt for conveying an article along a primary flow path from an infeed side of the modular transfer system to a pass-through side of the modular transfer system. The diverter system includes one or more diverter belts for diverting an article from the primary flow path towards a divert side of the modular transfer system. The primary flow belt includes multiple movable components contacting the diverter belt. The movable components can have one or more rotational degrees of freedom.
METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC PACKAGING OF SANITARY ARTICLES, AND CORRESPONDING SYSTEM
A method for automatic packaging of sanitary articles (A) in at least one first type of package (I) and one second type of package (II) containing, respectively, a first number of articles and a second number of articles, envisages: providing a flow of incoming articles diverting (10) articles from said flow of articles with a ratio between non-deflected articles and deflected articles that is a function of the ratio between the aforesaid first number and the aforesaid second number, generating a main flow of non-deflected articles (A) that may be packaged in the packages of the first type (I) and a derived flow of deflected articles that may be packaged in the packages of the second type (II).

SORTING DEVICE
A sorting device comprises a sorting apparatus moving along a predetermined path and a container conveyer located below the sorting apparatus. The sorting apparatus comprises a plurality of sorting stations arranged in a predetermined path, wherein a first discharge port and a second discharge port are formed on two sides of each sorting station along the predetermined path, respectively. A plurality of containers is placed on the container conveyer and is arranged in a linear array. The direction of the linear array is the direction of the connecting line of the first discharge port and the second discharge port where the containers reciprocate, so that two of the plurality of containers are aligned with the first discharge port and the second discharge port.
