A vacuum conveying system has at least two storage locations and at least two consumers connected by supply conduits and discharge conduits to each other. A vacuum source is provided that produces a vacuum flow/air flow. A central material conduit is provided with valves, wherein the supply conduits and the discharge conduits each have one of the valves associated therewith. The valves actuate conveying paths of bulk material from the at least two storage locations to the at least two consumers. The valves have a first position and a second position, wherein in the first position the valves open the material conduit to provide a through passage. In the second position, the valves supply the vacuum flow/air flow to the central material conduit or conduct the vacuum flow/air flow away from the central material conduit.

A mechanically-controlled vacuum throttle for a continuous dense phase pneumatic conveying system and related method is provided. The system includes a pneumatic conveyance line, a particulate material insertion assembly, a positive displacement blower, a transport fluid intake assembly, and a vacuum throttling assembly. The vacuum throttling assembly is configured to control the flow of air mass density into the blower and through the conveyance line. A portion of the vacuum throttling assembly is tied in to the conveyance line pressure downstream of the blower and adjusts the air mass density flow depending on the downstream pressure. Preferably, the vacuum throttling assembly includes an obstruction element and an opening collar, where the obstruction element is moveable relative to the opening collar and the air mass density flow is adjusted depending on the amount of movement of the obstruction element relative to the opening collar.

Horizontal product distribution system using static baffles in a distributor

The present invention is directed to an applicator having an agricultural product mechanical and/or pneumatic conveying system which transfers particulate material from one or more source containers to application equipment on demand, and meters the material at the application equipment. The conveying system includes a static distributor interconnecting the supply lines of the conveying system with the distribution lines connected to the individual nozzles. The static distributor includes internal structures that effectively divert the incoming particulate material evenly across the interior of the static distributor such that the particulate material is evenly distributed into each of the distribution lines. The static distributor accomplishes this without the need for any moving parts or control systems/devices. In addition, damage done to the particulate material flowing through the distributor is not high, and the operation of the distributor creates a lower pressure drop across the distributor than prior art vertical distributors.

Flow splitter for distributing agricultural products and related system

A flow splitter for distributing agricultural products includes a splitter body extending between upstream and downstream ends and defining an inlet port and two or more outlet ports. The splitter body includes an inner flow surface defining an interior flow volume and two or more internal grooves extending radially outwardly from the inner flow surface. A divider of the flow splitter extends within the splitter body along a central axis and includes two or more divider walls extending radially outwardly from the central axis to a distal end positioned adjacent to the inner flow surface. The divider divides at least a portion of the interior flow volume into a plurality of internal flow chambers, each being aligned with a respective outlet port. A rib extends radially outwardly from the distal end of each respective divider wall such that each rib is received within a respective internal groove.

PIPE FOR TRANSPORT OF GRANULAR MATTER AND GRANULAR MATTER TRANSPORT METHOD

An object of the present invention is to provide a technique in which deposition of powder during pneumatic transport can be inhibited by a pipe body having a simple structure. The present invention is a pipe for transporting powder including a transport path which has a portion formed by a curved pipe and through which pneumatically transported powder passes, and a blowing path through which a gas is blown into the transport path from an opening formed on an inner circumferential surface of the curved pipe, in which the blowing path blows the gas in a direction in which the gas blown into the transport path from the opening forms a swirling flow along the inner circumferential surface of the curved pipe.

System for conveying pasty material

A system for conveying pasty material through a conduit has an eccentric screw pump having a stator, a rotor that rotates in the stator, a housing with an intake port, and an output port connected to the conduit. A drive rotates the rotor and thereby draws the pasty material in through the intake port and expels the drawn-in material as a compressed-material strand into the conduit. A valve supplies gas pulses to the conduit at time intervals for separating the compressed-material strand into material plugs of limited length traveling through the conduit.
