METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR A ROBOTIC TAPE APPLICATOR
A system comprising: a source of a tape comprising a material associated with an adhesive and at least one removable liner; an applicator head; a cutting mechanism; at least one drive feeding mechanism configured to index the tape from the source to the applicator head at a controlled rate; wherein the applicator head is controllable to apply the material on a surface or a substrate; and wherein the applicator head comprises a cutting mechanism configured to sever the material while leaving the at least one removable liner intact.
REMOTE FEEDING SYSTEM
A feeding system configured to transport a material to a tape applicator, the feeding system comprising: a flexible conduit coupled between a spool unloading device and a tape applicator, wherein the flexible conduit receives the material from a source; and a fluid amplifier coupled to the flexible conduit to facilitate movement of the material therein by creating a vacuum effect.
Conveyance device and liquid discharge apparatus
A conveyance device includes a support having a support face configured to support a conveyed object and a fluid introduction device disposed outside the support. The fluid introduction device is configured to introduce a fluid between the support face of the support and the conveyed object, to form a fluid layer for floating the conveyed object. The conveyance device further includes a conveyor configured to convey the conveyed object being floating from the support via the fluid layer.
Control for Parent Roll Unwinding Apparatus and Methods
A control system is provided for a converting line. The converting line has an unwinder for unwinding web material from a roll of web material and at least one independently driven roll for directing the web material unwound from the unwinder to the converting line. The control system has a controller and a tension sensor configured to be arranged downstream of the at least one driven roll. The tension sensor is configured to sense a tension in the web as the web is passed downstream of the driven roll, generate a signal indicative of sensed web tension, and transmit the signal of sensed web tension to the controller. The controller is configured to a generate and transmit to the unwinder a signal to change the speed of the unwinder based upon the tension sensed by the tension sensor.
APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY, ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY MANUFACTURED THERETHROUGH, AND SECONDARY BATTERY
An apparatus for manufacturing the electrode assembly, in which an electrode and a separator are alternately stacked on a stack table, and the separator is folded in a zigzag shape so that the electrode is disposed between the folded separators to manufacture the electrode assembly, has a separator supplier configured to supply the separator to the stack table, and a separator tension adjuster configured to constantly adjust tension of the separator supplied to the stack table. The separator supplier comprises a separator winding roll around which the separator is wound, and the separator tension adjuster adjusts a. supply height of the separator winding roll to adjust the tension of the separator.
Tape lamination head with tape tension control system
A tape lamination head for applying composite tape onto a mold or mandrel amid the formation of a composite workpiece. The tape lamination head is but one component of a larger tape lamination machine and assembly. Among its components, the tape lamination head includes a tape supply reel, a backing paper take-up reel, and a tape tension control system. The tape tension control system has a first dancer roller assembly located downstream of the tape supply reel and has a second dancer roller assembly located upstream of the backing paper take-up reel. The first dancer roller assembly can include a first roller, a first guide, a first actuator, a first lock, and a first position sensor. The second dancer roller assembly can include a second roller, a second guide, a second actuator, a second lock, and a second position sensor.
FILM DISPENSER FOR A WRAPPING APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS
There is provided a film dispenser including a pre-stretch assembly, a dancer bar and a dancer bar control assembly. In response to a variation of a film feed requirement, the dancer bar is movable over a displacement range between a first position and at least one second position. The dancer bar is in the first position when a tension in the material web is below a threshold and in the at least one second position when the tension in the material web is equal to or above the threshold. The dancer bar control assembly is connected to the pre-stretch assembly and the dancer bar and is configured to bias the dancer bar with a constant force over the displacement range, monitor a displacement of the dancer bar and generate a speed command based thereon, and send the speed command to a motor to adjust the film delivery speed.
FILM DEPOSITION APPARATUS
A film deposition apparatus includes: a chamber having a film deposition gas introduced thereinto and exhausted therefrom, in which film deposition with the film deposition gas is performed on an object to be treated; and a film conveying part disposed in the chamber and conveying in a roll-to-roll manner a long film that is the object to be treated. The film conveying part includes: a rotatable roller with part of whose peripheral surface the long film comes into contact; and a nozzle pipe for spraying an inert gas onto a region of the roller, the region being not covered by the long film.
Measurement of elastic modulus of moving web
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method, comprising: controlling suction with predetermined force in a known measurement area to a moving cardboard or paper web in a manufacturing process, detecting on-line measurement information on deviation of the moving cardboard or paper web in the manufacturing process caused by the suction with predetermined force in the known measurement area, and determining elastic modulus of the moving cardboard or paper web in the manufacturing process on the basis of the measured deviation.
