IMAGE FORMATION APPARATUS
An image formation apparatus according to an embodiment may include: a print unit that forms an image on a medium; and a medium conveyance unit that conveys the medium to the print unit. The medium conveyance unit may include: a medium guide that is movable in a width direction of the medium perpendicular to a conveyance direction of the medium, to guide a width end of the medium; a guide position detector that detects a position of the medium guide in the width direction of the medium; and a medium end detector that is provided at the medium guide and detects whether there is the medium with the width end guided by the medium guide. The print unit may include a determination unit that determines a set state of the medium based on a detection result by the medium end detector.
WEB FILM MOVEMENT COMPENSATING DEVICE FOR A WEB FILM MOVEMENT COMPENSATION BETWEEN A CONTINUOUS FORWARD MOVEMENT SECTION AND AN INTERMITTENT FORWARD MOVEMENT SECTION
The present invention relates to a web film movement compensating device for a web film movement compensation between continuous forward movement section and intermittent forward movement section comprising two guide rollers (1, 2) rotating freely in stationary positions between a continuous driving device (5) and an intermittent driving device (6), two compensation rollers (3, 4) rotating freely on two respective pivoting arms (7, 8) oscillating about pivot shafts (11, 12), an elastic element (9) connected to one of the pivoting arms to actuate the corresponding compensation roller to move away from the guide rollers, and a movement transmission mechanism including lever arms and transmission rods (13, 14, 15) transmitting an oscillating movement from one of the pivoting arms (7, 8) to the other. A web film (50) moved by the driving devices is supported on the guide rollers (1, 2) and on the compensation rollers (3, 4) forming a meander.
Floating mat launch, retrieval, and storage apparatus
An apparatus to launch, retrieve, and store a recreational floating mat is described. The apparatus can provide the advantages of helping to ease the potential difficulties associated with launching, retrieving and storing recreational floating mats from dock side, pool side or from a floating vessel such as a boat or floating dock.

Printer
At a printer that feeds a continuous paper unwound from a paper sheet supply unit in a sheet-shape to a printing head portion side via a damper portion, and then prints on a label of the continuous paper, the damper portion is constituted of an outer damper portion and an inner damper portion, which is disposed at a downstream side of feed of the outer damper portion.
DANCER SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY FOR A ROLL-TO-ROLL PRINTER
A dancer suspension assembly for use in a roll-to-roll printing system, which assembly comprises a wire element connectable to a dancer of the printing system, which wire element is connected to actuator via a spring element, which actuator is configured to control a spring force exerted by the spring element on the wire element, and a pulley assembly around which the wire element runs. The spring element allows the operator to adjust the spring force and to apply said spring force to the dancer at any position of the dancer. Both the web tension and the dancer position can be controlled in a simple manner.
Printer cassette with movable tensioning roller and associated printer
An apparatus for holding label stock includes a body including a base and a roll holding area with a roll holding support extending from the base for receiving a roll of label stock. A plurality of rollers are located along a label stock feed path from the roll holding area to a label stock exit zone of the body. The plurality of rollers include a tensioning roller that is movable relative to the base to dissipate tension loads on label stock during label stock movement.
Unwinding a film roll in a packaging machine
A packaging machine which unwinds a bottom film web from a supply roll and conveys it intermittently or continuously along the packaging machine and in a forming station, forms into the bottom film web packaging cavities, which are then filled with a product to be packaged. In a sealing station, a top film web is sealed to the bottom film web, wherein the bottom and top film web are respectively unwound from a supply roll and the bottom and top film web are respectively tensioned by means of a dancer roll. The supply roll is driven by means of a motor, the parameters of which, in particular rotation speed and/or torque, can be set on the basis of the parameters of the respective supply roll.
Cladding strip feeders having independent pressure rollers and strip cladding systems with cladding strip feeders having independent pressure rollers
Cladding strip feeders having independent pressure rollers and strip cladding systems with cladding strip feeders having independent pressure rollers are disclosed. A disclosed example cladding strip feeder for a strip cladding system includes: a drive roller to advance a cladding strip along a strip feed path through contact plates; a first pressure roller positioned along the strip feed path opposite a first section of the drive roller; a second pressure roller positioned along the strip feed path opposite a second section of the drive roller; a third pressure roller positioned along the strip feed path opposite a third section of the drive roller; a first pressure adjuster to set a first pressure applied to the cladding strip by the first pressure roller and the first section of the drive roller; a second pressure adjuster to set a second pressure applied to the cladding strip by the second pressure roller and the second section of the drive roller; and a third pressure adjuster to set a third pressure applied to the cladding strip by the third pressure roller and the third section of the drive roller, the first pressure roller, the second pressure roller, and the third pressure roller being configured to apply symmetric pressure across a width of the cladding strip by selectively setting at least one of the second pressure adjuster to apply the second pressure or the third pressure adjuster to apply the third pressure based on the cladding strip having one of at least three incremental strip widths.
