SHEET STORAGE DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
The invention provides a sheet storage apparatus and a printing apparatus, which include simplified mechanisms for supporting a sheet and for guiding the sheet. A sheet storage device that can store a sheet discharged from a discharge port of a printing apparatus includes: multiple flappers provided below the discharge port and arranged in a width direction of the sheet, each flapper being rotatable between a first posture in which the sheet discharged from the discharge port is guided downward in a gravitational direction by using a first surface, and a second posture in which the sheet is supported by using a second surface being different from the first surface; and a connecting unit which connects the plurality of flappers to one another.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND STORAGE APPARATUS
An object of the present invention is to provide a printing apparatus capable of preventing a sheet discharged from a discharge unit from entering a feeding unit while guiding the sheet properly to a storage unit located below the feeding unit. The printing apparatus includes a storage unit to store a sheet discharged from a discharge unit and a guide unit to guide the sheet discharged from the discharge unit to the storage unit. The guide unit has a turning unit which prevents the sheet discharged from the discharge unit from entering a feeding unit and which turns when the sheet comes into contact with the turning unit.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
There is provided a liquid discharge apparatus including: a transporting unit that transports a medium in a transporting direction, a discharge portion that discharges a liquid to the medium positioned in a discharge range, and a supporting portion that has a first supporting surface and a second supporting surface, as a supporting surface supporting the medium to be transported by the transporting unit, in which the first supporting surface supports the medium in the discharge range and does not have unevenness in a width direction intersecting the transporting direction, the second supporting surface supports the medium on a downstream side of the discharge range in the transporting direction and includes uneven portions in which a first portion and a second portion which is further recessed than the first portion are formed alternately in the width direction.
Apparatus for securing electronic devices on a carrier during transportation
An apparatus for securing electronic devices on a carrier for storing electronic devices during transportation of the electronic devices on the carrier has a guiding track for guiding motion of the carrier when the carrier receives electronic devices. A magnetic track located adjacent to the guiding track attracts the electronic devices onto the carrier with a magnetic attraction force. In particular, the magnetic track has a support surface facing the carrier that has a smaller width than a width of a portion of the magnetic track that is spaced from the support surface.
Compact printer with print frame interlock
A compact printer having improved operational features is disclosed. The printer includes an articulating print frame assembly coupled to a top cover that is adapted to rotate out of the top cover to an open position and to rotate into the top cover to a closed position. When the print frame is in an open position, the top cover is prevented from rotating toward the bottom housing to a closed position. The print frame includes a ribbon guide bar that facilitates loading of ribbon and media. The disclosed printer also includes a fixed or adjustable media sensor, and is configurable to accommodate an internal supply of web (roll) media or an external supply of fanfold media.

Printing apparatus
A printer includes a printing section configured to perform printing on roll paper, a transport surface (hot plate) where the roll paper on which printing has been performed is transported, and a heater unit (heater) for heating the transport surface. The stated transport surface includes a plurality of projections with which the roll paper makes slide contact.
Imaging system for processing a media
An imaging system includes an imaging station, an actuator for driving a medium roller for controllably displacing the medium along a media transport path, and a controller assembly. The controller assembly includes a sensor device for generating a position signal and a processor for processing the position signal. The actuator is actuated in response to an actuation command from the controller assembly, which actuation command is derivable from a feedback component and a feedforward component. The feedback component is based on a position error. The processor is further arranged for determining a time dependent status parameter, which status parameter represents a status of the medium on the medium roller. The processor is further arranged for deriving an actuation command estimate based on the status parameter, and wherein the feedforward component includes the actuation command estimate.
Movable media guide for media processing devices
A media processing device includes a cavity configured to receive a supply of media; a media exit; a fixed media guide configured to guide the media along a media feed path from the cavity to the media exit; a platen roller configured to move the media along the media feed path from the supply toward the media exit; and a movable media guide extending laterally across the media feed path at a position between the platen roller and the cavity. The movable media guide is biased toward the media feed path and is configured to apply a force to the media. The movable media guide is convexly curved toward the media feed path.
