Transformable cable reels and related assemblies and methods
Transformable cable reels, related assemblies and methods are disclosed. The transformable cable reels may be provided in a first reel configuration for spooling on cable to the transformable cable reel and to pay out the spooled cable from the transformable cable reel. Cable spooled on the transformable cable reel may be payed out during cable installations. The transformable cable reel may also be configured in a second reel configuration for storage of any excess cable after cable payout. As one non-limiting example, the volume of the cable reel may be less in the second reel configuration than in the first reel configuration so that less volume is required to store the transformable cable reel. Providing the transformable cable reel in the second reel configuration may make it more feasible to store the transformable cable reel in fiber optic equipment, and/or avoid storing excess cable removed from a cable reel.
Transformable cable reels and related assemblies and methods
Transformable cable reels, related assemblies and methods are disclosed. The transformable cable reels may be provided in a first reel configuration for spooling on cable to the transformable cable reel and to pay out the spooled cable from the transformable cable reel. OPTICAL FIBRE SPOOL
A spool of optical fibre comprises a spool axis and a length of optical fibre wound around the spool axis to form a plurality of wrap segments arranged axially along the spool axis, wherein adjacent wrap segments partially overlap in the axial direction. Each wrap segment comprises a first wrap layer wound in a first axial direction over a first axial distance, and a second wrap layer wound over the first wrap layer in a reverse second axial direction over a second axial distance greater than the first axial distance, the optical fibre extending from the second wrap layer of one wrap segment to the first wrap layer of an adjacent wrap segment. The spool may be mounted in a device such that the optical fibre can be despooled and deployed from the device.
OPTICAL FIBRE SPOOL
A spool of optical fibre comprises a spool axis and a length of optical fibre wound around the spool axis to form a plurality of wrap segments arranged axially along the spool axis, wherein adjacent wrap segments partially overlap in the axial direction. Each wrap segment comprises a first wrap layer wound in a first axial direction over a first axial distance, and a second wrap layer wound over the first wrap layer in a reverse second axial direction over a second axial distance greater than the first axial distance, the optical fibre extending from the second wrap layer of one wrap segment to the first wrap layer of an adjacent wrap segment. The spool may be mounted in a device such that the optical fibre can be despooled and deployed from the device.
Fishing line winder
A fishing line winder is disclosed. The line winder is combined with a line reel, so that a fishing line is sequentially reeled and unreeled. The line winder is a machine for preventing reverse winding and tangling, where a base of the fishing line winder is provided with a shaft, and a driving member drives the shaft to rotate, while a spindle is provided with a line spool, an abutment wheel and an unidirectional bearing; a resistance against the rotation of the abutment wheel is formed by means of a brake pad, thus preventing reverse winding and tangling when the fishing line is reeled onto and unreeled from the line reel.
Moisture resistant air data probes
An air data probe includes a probe head defining a longitudinal axis between a forward tip and aft base. A port opening is defined in the forward tip. A first conduit is in fluid communication with the port opening to guide fluid flow from the port opening to a first chamber. The first chamber is downstream from the port opening. A second conduit, offset radially and circumferentially from the first conduit, is in fluid communication with the first chamber to guide fluid flow from the first chamber to a second chamber. The second chamber is downstream from the first chamber. The offset between the first and second conduits is configured to prevent particle ingestion from the port opening from entering the second conduit.
RIBBON MEASURING DEVICE
A ribbon measuring device. The ribbon measuring device includes a base having an upper surface and a plurality of openings disposed through the upper surface. The plurality of openings are aligned with one another along a length of the base. The present invention further includes at least two dowels having a bottom end sized to removably fit within each of the plurality of openings. When the two dowels are disposed within two of the plurality of openings, the dowels extend vertically from and are perpendicular to the upper surface.
RIBBON MEASURING DEVICE
A ribbon measuring device. The ribbon measuring device includes a base having an upper surface and a plurality of openings disposed through the upper surface. The plurality of openings are aligned with one another along a length of the base. The present invention further includes at least two dowels having a bottom end sized to removably fit within each of the plurality of openings. When the two dowels are disposed within two of the plurality of openings, the dowels extend vertically from and are perpendicular to the upper surface.
Manufacturing method of tank and tank manufacturing apparatus
There is provided a manufacturing method of a tank. The manufacturing method comprises a cooling process of cooling down a resin-adhering fiber bundle that has a resin adhering to a fiber bundle; and a winding process of winding the resin-adhering fiber bundle that is cooled down by the cooling process, on a rotating liner. The cooling process cools down the resin-adhering fiber bundle to make a temperature of the resin-adhering fiber bundle that is being wound on the liner in the winding process, equal to or lower than a set temperature which is set in advance as a temperature to provide a viscosity of the resin that prevents the resin from being splashed from the resin-adhering fiber bundle by rotation of the liner in a course of winding the resin-adhering fiber bundle on the liner.
Manufacturing method of tank and tank manufacturing apparatus
There is provided a manufacturing method of a tank. The manufacturing method comprises a cooling process of cooling down a resin-adhering fiber bundle that has a resin adhering to a fiber bundle; and a winding process of winding the resin-adhering fiber bundle that is cooled down by the cooling process, on a rotating liner. The cooling process cools down the resin-adhering fiber bundle to make a temperature of the resin-adhering fiber bundle that is being wound on the liner in the winding process, equal to or lower than a set temperature which is set in advance as a temperature to provide a viscosity of the resin that prevents the resin from being splashed from the resin-adhering fiber bundle by rotation of the liner in a course of winding the resin-adhering fiber bundle on the liner.
