System and methods for recreational sport heads-up display control
Technologies are disclosed herein for controlling a head-mountable heads-up display system comprising a heads-up display unit and a hand cover. The hand cover includes a plurality of input elements located on appendages thereof that are configured to cause the hand cover to transmit input signals to the heads-up display unit. The heads-up display unit is configured to display virtual image content within a field of view of a user. As a result of receiving a user input, the heads-up display unit may display virtual image content based on a user input. The heads-up display unit updates the virtual image content as a result of receiving an input signal corresponding to an interaction between a pair of input elements of the hand cover. The heads-up display system may be useable in connection with a system of an outdoor recreational area to obtain information regarding the outdoor recreational area.
FOLDING AND COLLAPSIBLE SNOWBOARD POLE MOUNTING SYSTEM
A detachable snowboard and snowboard pole with a collapsible shaft divided into segments, a basket tip, and a handle. In exemplary embodiments, the pole affixes to a planar top surface of the snowboard using a mounting system comprising a plurality of clamps at staggered attachment points, each clamp adapted to form a friction fit with segments of the snowboard pole, each clamp oriented in parallel with one another.
FOLDABLE STICK, IN PARTICULAR A SPORTS STICK
The present invention provides a foldable stick (10), in particular a sports stick (10), comprising a plurality of stick segments (12, 14, 16) and at least one tensioning mechanism (18, 20), the stick (10) being adjustable between an assembled configuration in which all stick segments (12, 14, 16) are joined aligned axially with one another, and a disassembled configuration in which the stick segments (12, 14, 16) are detached from one another and can be folded together, the tensioning mechanism (18, 20) is adapted to pretension the stick segments (12, 14, 16) into the assembled configuration of the stick (10).
Folding pole, in particular for Nordic walking
The invention relates to a folding pole (1), normally comprising four pipe sections (7-9), wherein the pipe sections (7-9) are connected to each other by means of plug-in connections while aligned along the pole axis (32) in the assembled state of the folding pole (1), and normally only three pipe sections (8, 8, 9) are still connected to each other by means of a movable connecting element (16) in the folded state, and wherein a pole handle (2) is arranged on a top pipe section (7) and a pole tip (23) is arranged on a bottom pipe section (9). According to the invention, at least one of the plug-in connections is realized by means of an external clamping mechanism (10), wherein the clamping mechanism (10) is fastened to a first pipe section (7), and wherein a second pipe section (8), which has an outside diameter smaller than or nearly equal to the inside diameter of the first pipe section (7), and which is supported in the first pipe section (7) so as to be movable itself, can be fastened in the relative axial position by the external clamping mechanism (10). The further plug-in connections are designed as pure plug-in connections, wherein pipe sections (8, 8, 9) are fastened only an axial direction in the connected state. The pipe sections (7-9) are connected to each other by means of at least one tension cable (16), which is fastened to the bottom pipe section (9) and to the top pipe section (7) and which is arranged so as to pass through the interior (31) of the at least two middle pipe sections (8, 8). The folding pole (1) is designed in such a way that the folding pole can be transferred from the folded state to the assembled state by connecting the further plug-in connections, and then, with the external clamping mechanism (10) released, pulling the second pipe section (8) out of the first pipe section (7) until the tension cable (16) is under tension, and fastening the external clamping mechanism (10).
Pole grip
A hand grip system for a skiing, hiking or trekking pole. The pole grip system includes a primary grip with a conical shape designed to fit the natural anatomical shape of a human hand grasping the grip. An optional secondary ascent grip, also conical in shape and located just below the primary grip, may be used for climbing steep terrain without adjusting pole length. The conical shape of the primary grip and the ascent grip provides a mechanism for axial force to be transferred from the user's hand to the pole without requiring a tight grasp. A grip top located above the primary grip prevents the user's hand from sliding upward, and serves as a gripping surface for alternate grasps such as a palm grip. A break-away wrist strap attached at the lower end of the primary grip is usable with either the primary grip or the ascent grip.
POLE HANDLE
The invention relates to a pole handle (1) for walking poles, trekking poles, alpine ski poles, cross-country ski poles or Nordic walking poles, comprising a length-adjustable hand strap (2), wherein the strap length is fixed using a blocking element arranged in the handle body. A first end of the hand strap is secured in a top section (4a) of the handle body (4), wherein a mid-section (2d) of the strap is introduced into a recess (6) of the handle body (4), is deflected about a deflection element (11) in the recess (6), and passes downwards out of the handle body as the free second end (2b). The blocking element is pressed onto a lower strap section (2e) in order to block the adjustability of the length of the hand strap.
SMART SKI POLE AND SKI POLE WITH INTEGRATED SPEAKER
Smart grips for use on ski poles and handlebars are disclosed herein. A smart grip can include a grip body having an opening mateable to a tubular member. A speaker can be disposed in the grip body and a display can be at least partially contained in the grip body. A controller can be disposed in the grip body and includes at least one processor and at least one memory device storing instructions for causing the at least one processor to receive incoming audio data and output said incoming audio data via the speaker. One or more buttons can be positioned on the grip and coupled to the controller. A battery can be disposed in the grip body and coupled to at least the controller.
Cross-country interchangeable plate system
Attachment for a pole, in particular for a trekking pole, cross-country ski pole, Nordic-walking pole, or Alpine ski pole, comprising a substantially cylindrical sleeve (3) which can be fastened to the bottom free end (25) of a pole shaft (1), comprising a blind hole (22) open towards the top to accommodate the bottom free end of the pole bar, and an interchangeable element (2), which can be fastened to the sleeve in a detachable form-fitting and force-fitting manner. The sleeve comprises a head region (4) and an adjoining body region (5) extending downwards, and an outer thread (6) on at least one axial section of the body region. The interchangeable element comprises a tip or a rolling surface on the bottom end (21) thereof, wherein the interchangeable element has an axial blind hole (15) open towards the top for accommodating the sleeve.
SKI POLE
The invention relates to a ski pole where at least a part of the pole is in titanium and is formed as a lattice.
