Tool operated adjustment devices, fit systems, and line tensioning systems
A tool-operated adjustment device includes a housing supporting a rotatable spool that is operably coupled to a tension line. The spool is configured to rotate about a first axis in a first direction to wind the tension line, and to rotate in a second direction opposite the first direction to unwind the tension line. The device includes a socket pivotally coupled to the housing and configured to rotate about a second axis. The socket is selectively coupled to the spool to drive rotation of the spool in the first direction. The socket is configured to removably connect and disconnect to a tool configured to rotate the socket about the second axis. The device includes a release mechanism that is configured to selectively release the spool such that the spool is free to rotate in either the first or second direction in response to manual forces applied to the release mechanism.
PAPER-SHEET TRANSPORT DEVICE
To enable a user, when removing a sheet of paper from a transport mechanism, to easily remove the sheet of paper from the transport mechanism even with structure in which a transport roller is provided at a position inaccessible to a user. A paper-sheet transport device, including: a drive part which drives a transport mechanism transporting a sheet of paper; a cover; a shaft that rotatable in a predetermined direction by drive generated by the drive part, the shaft including a transport roller fixed thereto for transporting the sheet of paper; a lever which is arranged at, at least, a drive part side end out of both ends of the shaft and which, through a part of the cover, receives force due to an opening/closing operation of the cover; and a ratchet via which the lever and the shaft are engaged or disengaged, and which changes from the engaged state to the disengaged state in response to the lever receiving the force due to the opening/closing operation of the cover.
Sheet tray
A second tray is movable along a first direction, relative to a first tray, between a first position and a second position. The second tray includes a rail extending along the first direction, and engagement portions disposed along the rail. The rail includes an overlap portion which overlaps a sheet support surface of the first tray when the second tray is at the first position. A guide member is supported by the rail and movable along the first direction to contact an edge of a sheet supported by the second tray. A contact portion of the first tray disengages the guide member from one of the engagement portions upon contact with the guide member during movement of the second tray from the second position toward the first position while the guide member is supported at the overlap portion of the rail.
SHEET FEEDER, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet feeder includes a first rotary member, a separation member that cooperates with the first rotary member in holding the sheet between the separation member and the first rotary member to define a separation nip, a conveyance unit disposed downstream of the separation nip in a conveyance direction of the sheet, a driving unit, and a control unit. The first rotary member feeds a sheet. The conveyance unit conveys the sheet. The driving unit drives the first rotary member. The control unit controls the driving unit to stop driving the first rotary member when a leading edge of the sheet reaches the conveyance unit, and controls the driving unit to restart driving the first rotary member when a trailing edge portion of the sheet comes out of the separation nip.
Removable media tray having a media restraint with a latching plunger operable without the use of pinching
A media restraint for a removable media tray and slidably operable without the use of a pinching force. The media restraint slidably positionable on a track in a removable media tray and is operable without pinching. A latching plunger in the media restraint is biased into engagement with a track provided in the removable media tray and is moved by a rack and pinion mechanism to a released position allowing the media restraint to be moved along the track. The media restraint is operable by a finger of the user applying a downward force to the media restraint to release the plunger from the track and allowing the media restraint to be moved along the track. Upon removal of the downward force, a biasing member reengages the plunger with the track.
APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING THE SCROLL OF A TORAH PARCHMENT SHEET
The subject matter discloses a control mechanism for a scrolling of a Torah parchment in a Torah scroll case, comprising an internal handle located inside a Torah scroll case, mounted on a pole on which the parchment is rolled an external cogwheel located outside of the Torah scroll case, mounted on a pole on which the parchment is rolled, rotation of the external cogwheel results in rotation of the pole; and, a springy unit pressed towards a niche in said external cogwheels utilized to control the movement of the pole on which the parchment is rolled.
Lever-operated adjustment devices, fit systems, and line tensioning systems
An adjustment device includes a housing supporting a rotatable spool that is operably coupled to a tension line. The spool is configured to rotate about a first axis in a first direction to wind the tension line around the spool and is configured to rotate about the first axis in a second direction opposite the first rotational direction to unwind the at least one tension line from the spool. The device includes a lever pivotally coupled to the housing and configured to rotate about a second axis. The lever is selectively coupled to the spool to drive rotation of the spool in the first direction. The device also includes a release mechanism that is configured to selectively release the spool such that the spool is free to rotate in either the first or second direction in response to manual forces applied to the release mechanism.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus feeds a recording sheet from a sheet feed roller, clamps the recording sheet between an image carrier and a transfer roller, transfers a toner image to the recording sheet from the image carrier while conveying the recording sheet, and fixes the transferred toner image on the recording sheet. Recording sheets are stacked on an elevating plate. An elevating plate swinging mechanism vertically swings the elevating plate. A rotation drive mechanism rotates the sheet feed roller in synchronism with the elevating plate swinging mechanism. A recording sheet detector detects a leading edge of each recording sheet fed from the sheet feed roller. A conveyance controller measures sheet feed time from starting a sheet feed operation to detecting the leading edge of the recording sheet. Based on the measured sheet feed time, the conveyance controller sets a sheet feed start timing of a next recording sheet.
Adjustable closure devices with handle and locking mechanisms
Embodiments of the invention are directed to adjustable closure devices. One embodiment has a strap, a connector attached to a strap end, a chafe mounted on the strap behind the connector, and a hinged handle on the chafe. The chafe has two outer bars and a central bar, these bars defining strap through-paths. The strap end-region has path segments arranged, directionally from the strap's central region toward the strap end at the chafe, or, in embodiments that configure the strap as a pulley, at the connector. An adjustable length region of the strap spans between the chafe and the connector. An elevatable handle configuration allows a user to pull the chafe to which it is connected along the strap, away from connector.
