Skateboards with a multi-wheel truck

A moving wheel platform that minimizes wheel interactions with noncontinuous and uneven surfaces. The platform provides rotation-inhibiting structures onto or into the moving wheel platforms that aids with eliminating wheel bite.

Variable torsion skateboard truck apparatus and method of adjustment

A skateboard truck that is adjusted for different amounts of torsional stiffness. The axle of the truck is tensioned to change the torsional stiffness of the truck. The truck includes a fork shaped structural arm having tongs on the distal end. The ends of the tongs include mounting for the axle which supports the wheels. The tension in the axle determines the amount of torsional stiffness. Additionally, the distance between the wheels is adjustable to affect the torsional stiffness.

Skateboard

A skateboard includes a deck, at least a front wheel set and a rear wheel set. The front wheel set, which is arranged at a bottom of the deck at a position close to a front end thereof, includes at least one rigid and rotatable front wheel frame and at least two front wheels. The rear wheel set, which is arranged at a bottom of the deck at a position close to the rear end thereof, includes at least one rigid and non-rotatable rear wheel frame and at least two rear wheels. The outer side of the wheel is circular or arc-shaped. The structure of the skateboard allows the user to change a center of gravity and to lift the sides of the board with foot, so as to only rely on the outer arc of the left or right front and rear wheels to slide, while the rotatable front wheel frame in the left or right side may still be utilized for rotating in the forward direction, which allows a skateboard experience of forward or changing the travelling direction.

SKATEBOARD WITH INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION AND STEERING
20230330510 · 2023-10-19 ·

A skateboard comprising a board having an independent suspension and steering assembly connecting two wheels to the board. The suspension assembly comprises a support frame rotatably coupled to an underside of the board. The steering assembly comprises a steering crank fixed to and extending from an underside of the board. The suspension assembly further comprises for each wheel: a spindle for rotatably supporting the wheel; a knuckle for holding the spindle; an upper and a lower suspension arm pivotably coupled to the support frame at an upper and at a lower point of the support frame, respectively, and also pivotably coupled to the knuckle at an upper and at a lower point of the knuckle; and a spring for resiliently holding the knuckle against the board. The steering assembly further comprises for each wheel: a tie rod coupled by a ball joint to the steering crank and to the knuckle.

Torque strengthening device for land surfboard adapters

The invention discloses a torque strengthening device for land surfboard adapters, comprising an upper connecting plate and a lower connecting plate, wherein a number of tension springs are connected between the upper connecting plate and the lower connecting plate; the upper connecting plate and the lower connecting plate are provided with the same number of evenly arranged spring connecting blocks on the side facing the tension springs; the number of the tension springs is twice the number of the spring connecting blocks on the upper connecting plate, and each of the spring connecting blocks is provided with two spring connecting holes; the spring connecting blocks of the upper connecting plate and the spring connecting blocks on the lower connecting plate are alternately arranged. The invention can replace tension springs with different torques to obtain different surfing feelings.

SUSPENSION SYSTEMS FOR AN ELECTRIC SKATEBOARD

A self-propelled, one-wheeled vehicle may include a suspension system configured to dampen up and down motion of a board relative to the axle of a central wheel assembly when the vehicle encounters obstacles and bumps on a riding surface. Illustrative suspension systems include a shock absorber, a rocker, a pushrod, bell cranks, and/or a swingarm that couple the axle to the board. The suspension system may be disposed completely below a foot deck of the vehicle.

Skateboard with inertial enhancement
11439889 · 2022-09-13 ·

A skateboard truck that includes an inertia drive attached to a wheel. The inertia drive causes an inertial mass (i.e. flywheel) to turn at a higher speed then the wheel. During “pumping” of the skateboard the wheels accelerate and an inertia drive helps propel the skateboard given its inertia combined with the wheel inertia. The inertia drive may be configured to maintain skateboard stability at high speeds.

ELECTRIC SKATEBOARD WITH STRAIN-BASED CONTROLS AND METHODS
20220080291 · 2022-03-17 ·

An electric weight sensing skateboard using one or more strain gauge systems to detect rider-induced strain on one or both trucks, an inertial sensor to detect accelerations and balance position, and wheel speed sensors. Throttle is controlled by rider position, for example, lean forward to increase speed, lean back to slow down. Several drive methods include a driver position detection velocity setpoint control, torque setpoint control, and direct velocity/torque control. A throttle remote is note required. Rider weight activates the motors.
