Apparatus and method for forming an absorbent pad
An apparatus for forming an absorbent pad for an absorbent sanitary article having a zone free of absorbent material to define a channel of the pad includes a forming drum, a first feed system for feeding a first web, a second feed system for feeding a second web, a spreader for spreading the absorbent material on the drum; a joining system for joining the first and second webs to define the channels. A first dispenser forms on the first web a layer of first adhesive substance according to a spreading pattern having zones free of the first adhesive substance corresponding to the channels. A second dispenser dispenses a second adhesive substance, whose adhesive force is greater than an adhesive force of the first adhesive substance, on the second web according to a pattern having a layer placed at a zone free of the first adhesive substance.
LOADING TOOL FOR LOADING NEW WEB MEDIA IN A ROLL PRINTING SYSTEM
A web printing system has a loading tool to aid in the loading of new wide format web media. The loading tool is pivotable between a first position for loading a leading edge portion of the web onto the loading tool and a second position wherein an end portion of the loading tool extends above a print surface when in use. The end portion of the loading tool includes a beam element protruding from the loading tool in its pivoting direction towards the print surface, wherein in the second position the beam element is positioned with respect to the turn element, such that an S-shaped curve is formed in a web held on the loading tool. The curvature in the web significantly enhances the friction exerted by the beam element on the web, thereby stably holding the web in place.
Star wheel mounts
Examples described herein include a star wheel mount that includes a support element. The support element includes a first clip element coupled to a first end to engage a first mounting element on a media handler housing, and a second clip element coupled to a second end opposite the first end to engage a second mounting element on the media handler housing. The star wheel mount also includes a star wheel support axle coupled to hold a star wheel in a plane perpendicular to a surface of the media handler housing.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a housing; an image forming unit; a conveyor; a curved guide disposed downstream of the conveyor and configured to move between a near position where the curved guide in the housing guides the sheet and a far position farther from the conveyor than the near position; and a guide member extending from the conveyor toward the curved guide and configured to guide the sheet to the curved guide when the curved guide is located at the near position. The guide member has one end portion coupled to the conveyor and the other end portion movable with respect to the curved guide. When the curved guide is moved from the near position to the far position, the other end portion is moved in a direction from a downstream end toward an upstream end of the curved guide.
Recording medium processing device and image forming apparatus
A recording medium processing device includes: a pair of contacting members including a first contacting member and a second contacting member, the first contacting member and the second contacting member contacting each other at a contact portion and contacting a recording medium passing through the contact portion, a contact position of the second contacting member on the first contacting member changing in response to displacement of the second contacting member with respect to the first contacting member in a state of being held in a position for recording medium transportation; and a guide member mounted to the second contacting member, the guide member guiding the recording medium having passed through the contact portion at which the first contacting member and the second contacting member contact each other.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING WEARABLE ARTICLE
A manufacturing method for a wearing item repeatedly executes: a step of, at a preceding pad, receiving and holding a distal end part of a continuous body to convey; a step of, at a following pad, catching up with the preceding pad; a both holding step of, at both of the preceding pad and the following pad, holding the continuous body; and a cutting step of cutting the distal end part of the continuous body to generate an individual workpiece on the preceding pad, and, in the both holding step, relative speeds of both of the pads are equal to each other, and both of the pads rotate at a non constant speed in at least part of a zone, the continuous body is fed from the feeder at the non-constant speed in response to a change in a speed of the pads that rotate at the non-constant speed.
Feeder, image reading apparatus and recording apparatus
A feeder includes a pressing section that presses a medium after a feeding force is applied on the medium in a direction in which a leading edge of the medium set in a setting section in a feeding direction abuts on an abutment section during feeding of the media by a feed roller.
SHEET STACKING DEVICE, COUNTER EJECTOR AND BOX MAKING MACHINE
Provided are a sheet stacking device, a counter ejector and a box making machine, wherein: a hopper unit stacks sheet-like cardboard boxes; feeding rolls feed a cardboard box to the hopper unit; and a guiding device is disposed between the feeding rolls and the hopper unit and includes a first guide part that extends in a horizontal direction and guides a lower surface of the cardboard box and a second guide part that extends in a vertical direction and guides a rear end of the cardboard box. Due to this configuration, the occurrence of damage to box making sheets in high-speed conveying of the box making sheets can be suppressed and the box making sheets can be appropriately stacked in a prescribed posture.
