PASSENGER INTERFACE FOR SHUTTLE ELEVATOR SYSTEM
20210155452 · 2021-05-27 ·

A shuttle elevator loading system includes a plurality of shuttle elevators configured to service a building lobby. At least one sensor is configured to detect at least one passenger and at least one display unit is located at a display zone of the lobby. An elevator system controller is in signal communication with the at least one sensor and the at least one display unit. The elevator system controller determines a number of allocated passengers corresponding to each shuttle elevator and generates assignment information that directs a non-allocated passenger to an available shuttle elevator.

Direct real-time travel indications for multi-segment trip

A computer-implemented method is provided. The computer-implemented method is executed by a processor of a mobile device. The mobile device is in communication with an elevator system. The computer-implemented method automatically provides direct real-time travel indications with respect to an elevator trip of the elevator system. The computer-implemented method includes receiving, by the mobile device, a request for the elevator trip. The computer-implemented method includes directly receiving, by the mobile device, feedback signals from the elevator system with respect the elevator trip in response to the request. The computer-implemented method includes automatically providing, by a user interface of the mobile device, direct real-time travel indications of the elevator trip as the mobile device progresses through the elevator system.

Automatic determination of position and orientation of elevator device entry terminals and hallway fixtures

A system to determine a location of a signal emitting device is provided. First, second, and third data is received from at least one movable communication device. Each of the first, second, and third data include a unique identifier of the signal emitting device, a signal strength of a signal received by the at least one movable communication device from the signal emitting device, and a location of the at least one movable communication device when it received the signal. Each of the first, second, and third data include different locations of the at least one movable communication device. A location of the signal emitting device is computed based at least in part on the received first, second, and third data.

PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
20210110706 · 2021-04-15 ·

Various systems and methods for pedestrian traffic management are described herein, comprising segmenting a pedestrian route into at least one pedestrian walking segment using location information of transportation resources, and determining estimated transit times for the at least one pedestrian walking segment and an estimated wait time for the first transportation resource using received status information of the first transportation resource and the determined estimated transit time for the first pedestrian walking segment.

Allocation of facilities on a route

Elevators and other facilities in buildings and other constructed environments can be controlled remotely. In an advanced controlling method at least one person is guided through constructed environment along a predetermined route. When the route is known facilities, such as elevators, may be called or activated in advance so that the person guided along the route does not need to do it when arriving at the area of influence of the facility. When there are more than one person travelling the routes may be combined such that the central system controlling allocations of facilities may call or activate resources more than one person.

Phone map used to find and operate multiuser devices

A phone has a touch screen display. The display shows an internet map. The map allows for a user to search for multiuser public devices, such as, elevators. The user finds the device, by viewing the device's location, and the phone's location on the map. For example, the phone searches for and finds devices, such as, smart toilets, which are shown on the map. The user touches one of the desired displayed toilets, to receive the toilet's control panel interface. The received control panel, is displayed on the phone. The user operates the toilet, by touch activating the toilet's control panel's commands. The phone, and toilet communicate over the internet wirelessly, or wirelessly. The user avoids bacteria, on the toilet's touch input buttons, by using the phone to operate the toilet. The user can find and operate, many different public multiuser devices.

INTERFACE DEVICE, AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM, AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OF DISPLAYING OF A PLURALITY OF DESTINATION CALLS

An interface device for controlling displaying of a plurality of destination calls includes an input configured to receive user input for making one or more destination calls, a controller entity configured to record made destination calls, and at least one display capable of displaying simultaneously a pre-determined number of destination calls. The predetermined number is two or more. The at least one display is configured to display simultaneously the predetermined number of most recent destination calls made from said interface device. An elevator system and a method for controlling displaying of a plurality of destination calls include the interface device.

INTERFACE DEVICE, AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM, AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DISPLAYING OF A DESTINATION CALL

An interface device for controlling displaying of a destination call includes an input configured to receive input information comprising a passenger ID, a controller entity, configured to retrieve the destination call corresponding to the passenger ID, and at least one display configured to display the retrieved destination call. An elevator system and a method for controlling displaying of a destination call include the interface device.

Method and system for indoor wayfinding based on elevator information

A system and method that processes a destination to derive a target floor based on receiving an elevator call that indicates a source floor and the destination. Further the system and method causes an elevator to travel between the source floor and the target floor in response processing the destination and performs at least one of a plurality of wayfinding operations upon arrival of the elevator at the target floor.

METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ELEVATOR INSTALLATION, PASSENGER GUIDING SYSTEM FOR AN ELEVATOR INSTALLATION AND ELEVATOR INSTALLATION
20240002190 · 2024-01-04 ·

A method for operating an elevator installation includes receiving a destination call of a passenger at a control unit and selecting an elevator car from a set of available elevator cars for transporting the passenger. The elevator car is selected such that elevator car spacing rules are observed. The method further includes determining an arrival time of the selected elevator car at the boarding floor, and determining a first arrival time of the passenger at an elevator landing corresponding to the selected elevator car on the boarding floor. The method includes directing, under the proviso that the first arrival time of the passenger at the elevator landing precedes the arrival time of the selected elevator car by a defined margin, the passenger to a waiting zone of a set of available waiting zones. The waiting zone is selected such that waiting zone spacing rules are observed.
