METHOD AND DATA NETWORK FOR COMMUNICATING DATA CONTENT, IN PARTICULAR IN AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A method and a data network for communicating data content, particularly useful in an elevator system, includes a master unit and a plurality of slave units that are connected to one another via data communication paths to exchange data telegrams having a large number of bits between one another. The master unit and the slave units are connected in series to form a chain via the data communication paths wherein a data telegram is transmitted from the master unit to a last slave unit on an outward data path. The last slave unit initiates a data return path by returning the data telegram to the master unit. The data telegram is modified by the slave units exclusively during the data return path and at least one slave unit begins to compile information requested by the master unit immediately after receiving and evaluating the data telegram.
Method for determining information relating to elevator components received in an elevator shaft
A method determines information relating to elevator components received in an elevator shaft, the elevator components each being provided with a machine-readable marker on which component-specific information is stored, which information is read out by a marker reading device. In the method, a movable elevator element on which the marker reading device is arranged is moved through the elevator shaft and the component-specific information is read out from the markers. The markers can be, for example, markers that can be read out electromagnetically and in a contactless manner, such as RFID tags. The method also includes a comparison of the read-out component-specific information with nominal specifications, and the compiling of a report indicating instances of conformity and/or differences between the read-out component-specific information and the nominal specifications.
VISUAL INSPECTION DIAGNOSTICS
A passenger conveyor diagnostic system includes a processor that stores at least one visual inspection diagnostic, and a passenger conveyor system including at least one sensor configured to capture one or both of an image and a sound. The processor applies the at least one visual inspection diagnostic to one or both of the image and the sound to generate a diagnosed status of the passenger conveyor system, and overlays the diagnosed status of the passenger conveyor system on the image.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INSTALLING ELEVATOR DOOR COMPONENTS
An illustrative example embodiment of a device that facilitates installing at least one elevator door component, includes a detector that is configured to detect at least one reference feature in a vicinity of a desired position of the elevator door component. A processor is configured to use information from the detector to determine the desired position of the elevator door component relative to the at least one detected feature. An indicator is configured to provide at least one indication corresponding to the desired position of the elevator door component.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTO-TUNING ELEVATOR CONTROLLERS
Embodiments herein are directed to an elevator system having at least one movable component and at least one component generating a reference signal. The elevator system includes a controller, an output signal, and a controller tuner. The controller generates a control signal. The output signal is indicative of a movement of the at least one movable component of the elevator system based on the control signal. The controller tuner is communicatively coupled to the controller. The controller tuner receives the output signal and the reference signal to calculate an error signal. The controller tuner uses the error signal to calculate a corrected control signal and transmits the corrected control signal to the controller. The corrected control signal manipulates the control signal generated by the controller to change the movement of the at least one movable component.
ELEVATOR
An elevator car has a roof hatch arranged on a car roof and a ventilation device mounted on the roof hatch, wherein the car roof has a car top surface defining a walkable region. The roof hatch has a cover plate on which a fan of the ventilation device is mounted, wherein the cover plate, at least when the roof hatch is in a normal position, is an integral part of the walkable region. The roof hatch is stored on an exit opening in the car roof whereas the roof hatch can be removed and put aside to the car top surface. The cover plate has a central aperture through which the air blown by the fan can flow. The aperture is secured and covered by a grill mounted on the cover plate, whereas the grill is dimensioned to provide the grill with a walk-on capability.
Systems and methods for controlling working fluid in hydraulic elevators
A hydraulic elevator may comprise a bidirectional pump that controls up and down motion of an elevator car. A VVVF drive may cause the bidirectional pump to provide working fluid in a controlled manner to a hydraulic jack that supports the elevator car. A control valve may be disposed between the bidirectional pump and the hydraulic jack so that the control valve can be closed when the elevator car needs to be held in place. To avoid pressure waves that propagate when the control valve is opened with disparate pressures on the pump and jack sides of the control valve, the bidirectional pump may adjust the pressure on the pump side of the closed control valve to the pressure on the jack side of the control valve before the control valve is opened.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONFIGURING AN ELEVATOR MANAGEMENT DEVICE
An illustrative example embodiment of a method of configuring an elevator management device includes issuing a predetermined series of commands to perform a corresponding series of elevator system functions; for each of the series of elevator system functions, automatically determining a respective portion of an elevator controller that is active during a corresponding one of the activated series of elevator system functions; automatically generating information including a relationship between the respective portions of the elevator controller and the corresponding ones of the activated series of elevator system functions; and configuring the elevator management device to communicate with the elevator controller based on the information.
ELEVATOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM THAT TRANSMITS COMBINED OPERATIONAL AND POSITION DATA TO AN ELEVATOR MANAGEMENT CENTER
Disclosed is an elevator system, including a gateway configured to: receive, from an elevator car controller of an elevator car, car controller data for the elevator car that includes a car positional log of the elevator car; receive, from a beacon mounted to the elevator car, car operational data for the elevator car that includes car and door data representing car and door events; and transmit, to one of an elevator management center and a cloud service, a combination of the car controller data and the car operational data to identify an alert condition and a position of the elevator car during the alert condition, wherein the gateway or the one of the elevator management center and the cloud service is configured to stitch together the car controller data and the car operational data to identify the alert condition and position of the elevator car during the alert condition.
Elevator door bypass device
An elevator door bypass apparatus, configured to bypass a landing door or a car door at a time of an inspection of an elevator, includes: a door mode selector switch configured to switch a door mode between a normal operation and a bypass operation; a bypass target selector switch configured to switch between bypassing of the landing door and bypassing of the car door; and a bypass relay configured to, in a case that the door mode has been switched to the bypass operation by the door mode selector switch, bypass the landing door when the bypassing of the landing door has been selected by the bypass target selector switch, and bypass the car door when the bypassing of the car door has been selected by the bypass target selector switch.
