Said at least one sensor for sensing position of the balustrade comprises a sensor body and a sensor head, and the sensor head is movable relative to the sensor body, and the balustrade is arranged to move the sensor head when pivoted, the balustrade comprising a cam member pivotal together with the balustrade, the cam member comprising one or more protrusions and depressions, and the sensor head is placed against the cam member for being actuated by aid of at least one protrusion and at least one depression of the cam member.

An elevator car has one or more sidewalls (4a, 4b) defining an interior space (2) for accommodating passengers; a roof (3) including a support frame (8) and a working platform (12) which is suspendably connected to the support frame (8). The working platform moves between a stowed position, above the interior space, and an operational position, within the interior space. The elevator car also includes a blocking member (20, 21), located at the support frame (8), and arranged to move between an unblocking position and a blocking position. When the blocking member (20, 21) is in the blocking position, the blocking member is configured to prevent the working platform (12) from being moved into the stowed position.

An apparatus for maintaining a passenger transport system according to the present invention includes a wireless beacon and a personal mobile terminal. The wireless beacon is mounted substantially at a registration entrance for entering the passenger transport system to perform a maintenance operation and configured to broadcast a wireless signal to the surrounding area. The personal mobile terminal is carried by the maintenance operator and configured to sense the wireless signal when the maintenance operator approaches the wireless beacon. At least one of the wireless beacon and the personal mobile terminal is configured to automatically generate and send, based on successful sensing of the wireless signal by the personal mobile terminal, maintenance register information indicating that the corresponding maintenance operator has checked into a maintenance operation process. The present invention can significantly simplify the check-in operation.
