Monitoring elevator traction rope
A method and an arrangement are provided for monitoring the safety of a counterweighted elevator. In the method, an elevator car is driven with a hoisting machine towards the top end of the elevator hoistway, contact between the counterweight and the end buffer of the elevator hoistway is determined, a reference point for the location of the elevator car is registered when detecting contact between the counterweight and the end buffer, the distance that the elevator car travels onwards from the aforementioned reference point for the location is measured, and if the distance traveled by the elevator car onwards from the aforementioned reference point exceeds a threshold value a signal indicating a risk of slackening of the traction rope is formed.
AUTOMATIC TEST OF DETERRENT DEVICE
A method and system for testing an elevator car door interlock and deterrent mechanism in an elevator system is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: ensuring that no passengers are in the elevator car and closing the elevator car door; operating the elevator car to move it away from the selected landing; commanding the elevator car door to open for a predetermined duration and measuring the displacement of the elevator car door from a closed position; and closing the elevator car door and operating the elevator car to return to a landing.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING COMPRESSION AND REPOSITION PERFORMANCE OF HYDRAULIC BUFFER FOR ELEVATOR
Disclosed are a device and a method for detecting compression and reposition performance of a hydraulic buffer for an elevator. The device includes a laser displacement sensor, a battery charge and power supply circuit and a controller, where the laser displacement sensor is connected to the controller through a signal conditioning and acquisition circuit and a laser emission control circuit; and where the controller is also connected to a memory and a configuration screen, respectively. It can realize the automation of multi-parameter measurement functions of a buffer, such as compression stroke measurement, reposition time measurement and reposition process monitoring (which can reflect whether the reposition process is jammed), and has a high measurement accuracy.
ELEVATOR TESTING ARRANGEMENT
A testing arrangement (36) for testing the operability of at least one safety sensor (21, 22, 23, 26, 28) connected to the safety chain (30) of an elevator system (1), the testing arrangement (36) comprises: at least one test circuit (34) for testing the operability of the at least one safety sensor (21, 22, 23, 26, 28); and at least one testing relay (32, 33). The testing relay (32, 33) is switchable between an operational position and a test position and it is configured for electrically connecting the at least one safety sensor (21, 22, 23, 26, 28) to the safety chain (30) in the operational position and for electrically connecting the at least one safety sensor (21, 22, 23, 26, 28) to the test circuit (34) in the test position.
SAFETY DEVICE, ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE ELEVATOR SYSTEM
The present invention provides a safety device installed on a car frame of an elevator, and comprising a housing, an elastic element for providing a clamping force, and an engagement member adjacent to two sides of a guide rail, wherein the engagement member is provided with a sensor for measuring a spacing between the engagement member and a guiding face of the guide rail. The present invention further provides an elevator system provided with the above-described safety device and a control method for controlling the elevator system. The safety device according to the invention is able to accurately measure the distance between engagement parts and a guiding face of the guide rail in real time.
ELEVATOR
The invention relates to an elevator comprising an elevator control having a motor drive of an elevator motor driving an elevator car on an movement path, which motor drive comprising a frequency converter with a rectifier bridge designed to be connected to mains, a converter bridge for feeding the elevator motor and an intermediate DC circuit located in-between, the elevator further comprising a brake drive for supplying energy to at least two motor brakes with the brake drive being connected to the intermediate DC circuit as well as an emergency power supply battery designed to allow safe release of passengers in case of a power outage. According to the invention the battery is connected to the intermediate DC circuit, and the elevator control has a measuring circuit connected to the intermediate DC circuit and the elevator control has a battery testing module which is configured to apply a defined load to the battery and to measure the voltage of the DC circuit for a defined time period. The battery testing module comprises a comparator for comparing the measured voltage with at least one stored first threshold value, whereby the elevator control is configured to issue a replacement signal for the battery dependent on the signal of the comparator.
METHOD AND ELEVATOR
A method for testing operation of an elevator including an elevator car includes starting movement of the elevator car; and thereafter starting a stopping sequence for stopping movement of the elevator car; and monitoring movement of the elevator car, the monitoring preferably including monitoring acceleration of the elevator car; and detecting a predefined response in movement of the elevator car, the predefined response preferably being cease of acceleration of the elevator car; and determining time elapsed between the starting a stopping sequence and the detected predefined response in movement of the elevator car, wherein the response is preferably cease of acceleration, for thereby determining reaction time of the elevator; and comparing the time elapsed with at least one reference, such as with at least one predefined threshold. An elevator is provided for implementing the method.
ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING
An elevator system includes an elevator car, a hoisting machine moving the elevator car in a hoistway, and a hoisting machine brake having one or more brake pads moving into a brake position where the one or more brake pads contact a braking surface to reduce speed of the elevator car when activated to brake. To provide a solution ensuring reliable operation of the brake, the elevator system includes a temperature sensor providing a signal indicating a temperature of the braking surface, and a monitoring unit monitoring operation of the hoisting machine brake, the monitoring unit receiving the signal indicating the temperature and is configured to indicate a brake fault when the indicated temperature during an elevator run has reached an upper limit value or increased with more than a limit value.
ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND ELEVATOR INSPECTION METHOD
In an elevator system, whether an emergency stopper thereof operates normally can be confirmed by letting a driving sheave run idle even in a case where the driving force of a hoisting machine is not large enough, the elevator system includes a main rope to suspend an elevator car and a counterweight, the emergency stopper to prevent the elevator car from dropping, the driving sheave, with the main rope wound around, to drive the main rope by a frictional force therebetween, the hoisting machine to rotate the driving sheave, and an elevator controller to drive the hoisting machine, wherein the elevator controller drives the hoisting machine, with the emergency stopper kept in operation, to let the driving sheave run idle by exciting vertical natural period vibration of the counterweight.
Guidance on safety inspection operations of functional component of elevator system
An apparatus for guiding a maintenance individual to perform a safety checking operation on a functional component of an elevator system includes: a wireless signal component connected with the elevator controller of the elevator system and establishing a wireless communication connection with the mobile terminal carried by the maintenance individual to enter the elevator hoistway for maintenance operation by broadcasting wireless signal; the apparatus configured to perform information interaction about the functional component by a wireless communication module of the mobile terminal and the elevator controller, and to provide safety checking guidance information for guiding the maintenance individual to complete the safety checking operation by a safety checking guidance module of the mobile terminal.
