METHOD FOR OPERATING A LIFT SYSTEM, AND LIFT SYSTEM

A method for operating an elevator system having a shaft system and elevator cars that are moved separately between floors in a circulation operation may involve moving the elevator cars upward in a first shaft and moving the elevator cars downward in a second shaft. A number of shaft positions that can be respectively adopted by the elevator cars and that correspond to the number of elevator cars is defined, and synchronization of movement of the elevator cars may be carried out with respect to these defined shaft positions. Further, each of the elevator cars may be moved according to a travel curve. To synchronize the movement of the elevator cars the travel curve for each elevator car may be adapted to account for positions of the elevator cars in the same shaft.

Method and system for modernizing an elevator installation and controlling elevators during modernization

A method and a system for modernizing an elevator installation including two or more elevators includes an unmodernized elevator, one or more call-giving devices, a new group controller, which is connected to the elevator installation for allocating an elevator call to be given with a call-giving device to be served by an elevator belonging to the elevator installation, and also a measuring device, which is configured to measure an operating parameter of an unmodernized elevator. The aforementioned measuring device is connected to the new group controller for communicating the aforementioned operating parameter to the new group controller.

One or more elevators can be more efficiently controlled by considering the then-current spatial capacity of the elevator. Camera images or other sensor data indicative of the occupied space in the elevator are received and processed by a control device to determine whether or not the elevator should stop at a requested floor. If the elevator is determined to lack space for additional passengers, then the elevator can bypass the requested stop and proceed without delay. If space remains, however, the elevator can stop to accommodate additional passengers. Measured spatial capacity can also be used to coordinate the actions of multiple elevators operating within a building.

System and method for assigning elevator service based on passenger priority

Disclosed is an elevator system having a plurality of elevators including a first elevator and a second elevator, and a controller that controls the plurality of elevators and communicates over a network with a first device seeking elevator service at a lobby, wherein the controller: receives a first request from the first device to receive elevator service, provides the first device a first priority number, based on the first priority number and remaining elevator capacity in the plurality of elevators, effects a first assignment wherein the first elevator is assigned to service the first request.

CALL ALLOCATION IN AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM

According to an example embodiment there is provided a method for allocating an elevator in an elevator system. The method comprises constructing passenger batch size distributions for each pair of floors in a building based on passenger batch journeys, each passenger batch journey defining at least the origin and destination floor of the journey, the number of passengers relating to the journey and the time of the journey; receiving a call for an elevator; estimating the number of passengers waiting behind the call based on the passenger batch size distributions; and allocating the call to an elevator being able to serve the estimated number of passengers.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISPATCHING ELEVATORS

A method for dispatching a plurality of elevator cars that includes receiving a call for at least one of the plurality of elevator cars. The call is from a first location of a plurality of locations. The method includes determining an occupant capacity for each of the plurality of elevator cars by determining a number of occupants within the plurality of elevator cars and determining a number of calls assigned to the plurality of elevator cars and positioned between a current location of the plurality of elevator cars and the first location. The method includes assigning the call from the first location to a first elevator car with an available occupant capacity that is greater than the occupant capacity of the plurality of elevator cars.

A method for reassigning a first elevator car of a plurality of elevator cars that includes dispatching the first elevator car from a current location to a first destination location to pick up an occupant at the first destination location. The method includes determining the first elevator car stopped at an intermediate location positioned between the current location and the first destination location. The method further includes determining a number of occupants within the first elevator car is greater than at least a second elevator car of a plurality of elevator cars after the first elevator car stopped at the intermediate location, and directing the first elevator car to a second destination location different from the first destination location.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADJUSTING ELEVATOR LOAD SETTINGS

A method of adjusting a load setting of an elevator car that includes receiving one or more load measurements associated with the elevator car and determining a maximum load of the elevator car from the one or more load measurements. The method further includes generating a modified load setting for the elevator car based on the maximum load and replacing the load setting of the elevator car with the modified load setting.

ELEVATOR OPERATING UNIT WITH TRAFFIC-DEPENDENT FUNCTIONALITY

In an elevator system, floor terminals can be actuated by a control unit in one of at least two operating modes. A screen unit of a floor terminal can generate a user interface with a functional scope dependent on the operating mode. An individual functional scope can be defined for each operating mode. The control unit can determine a local traffic volume at the first floor terminal location. The local traffic volume can be compared with at least one threshold value that is defined for the traffic volume at the first floor terminal to generate a comparison result. A desired operating mode of the first floor terminal can be defined based on the comparison result and the operating mode in which the control unit actuates the first floor terminal. The first floor terminal can be actuated in the defined desired operating mode.

Provided are an elevator charging system, a management server, a moving body, a moving body server, a charging method, and a storage medium storing program that make it possible to charge usage fees reflecting the demand of moving bodies. In a charging system (1), cars (5) transport moving bodies (11) between a plurality of floors. A communication unit (7a) receives usage requests each corresponding to one of the moving bodies (11). Each of the requests includes information about a call requesting assignment to one of the cars (5), and information about a desired price for a usage fee. An assignment unit (8) assigns each call to one of the cars (5) while prioritizing calls in requests having higher priority, based on information including the desired prices. A storage unit (9a) stores therein the fees charged for the requests of which the calls have been assigned.
