ELEVATOR INSTALLATION WITH PREDICTIVE CALL BASED ON NOISE ANALYSIS
20190344995 · 2019-11-14 ·

An elevator installation for a building includes an elevator controller to move from one floor to another floor and a plurality of sensor units. Each sensor unit is located on a floor and configured to generate an electrical signal that is indicative of a noise level in its vicinity. A processing unit analyzes received electrical signals to determine if there is an increased noise level on a floor on which the sensor unit generating that electrical signal is located, and to detect that a source of noise moves to distinguish it from a non-moving source of noise that may also be responsible for an increased noise level, and generates a control signal for the elevator controller that is indicative of the floor with the increased noise level. The elevator controller in response to the control signal causes the elevator car to move to the floor with the increased noise level.

Method for operating an elevator system
10464781 · 2019-11-05 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a method for operating an elevator system, which is embodied as shaft-changing multi-car system. A number of cars is assigned to at least three elevator shafts. The cars can be moved in upwards direction and downwards direction inside the individual elevator shafts, as well as between the individual elevator shafts. A successive reversal of the travel directions of the respective cars occurs hereby.

ELEVATOR SYSTEM PASSENGER FRUSTRATION REDUCTION

A method of operating a building elevator system within a building having a plurality of floors is provided. The method including: controlling a first elevator group composed of one or more elevator systems configured to serve a plurality of floors within a first sector, the one or more elevator systems in the first elevator group further include a first elevator car; controlling a second elevator group composed of one or more elevator systems configured to serve a plurality of floors within a second sector, the one or more elevator systems in the second elevator group further include a second elevator car; monitoring usage of the first elevator group and second elevator group; and reassigning at least one of the one or more elevator systems of the second elevator group to the first elevator group in response to usage of the first elevator group and usage of the second elevator group.

DESTINATION DISPATCH SECTORING

A method of operating a building elevator system within a building having a plurality of floors including: controlling a building elevator system comprising a first elevator system having a first elevator car and a second elevator system having a second elevator car; determining one or more sectors for the plurality of floors in response to at least one of a time of day, manual input, a density of the down peak traffic, and whether there is simultaneous up peak or inter-floor traffic, the one or more sectors comprising a first sector having a first plurality of floors and a second sector having a second plurality of floors; assigning the first elevator car to the first sector; and assigning the second elevator car to the second sector.

METHOD OF PREDICTIVELY MAINTAINING ELEVATOR DRIVING UNIT
20190300334 · 2019-10-03 · ·

The present invention provides a method of predictively maintaining an elevator driving unit which distinguishes between a condition when moving an elevator upward and a condition when moving the elevator downward, collects driving information of the driving unit (information on a change over time in current values) in a normal state, collects driving information of the driving unit before the occurrence of breakdown, sets critical levels based on the collected information, detects in real time an abnormal symptom of the driving unit by comparing the driving information of the driving unit, which is collected in real time, with the set critical level, and then performs stable predictive maintenance of the elevator driving unit, thereby efficiently preventing a safety accident of the elevator caused by a breakdown of the elevator driving unit.

User-controlled elevator allocation for independent service

A system for allocating elevator use based on an individual request includes a request module that receives a reservation request of an elevator car from a user, an allocation module that identifies a reserved elevator car based on the reservation request; and a mechanical control module that moves the reserved elevator car in response to commands provided by the user and the reservation request.

ELEVATOR OPERATION FOR OCCUPANCY
20190284019 · 2019-09-19 ·

An elevator system is provided. Aspects includes an elevator car, a sensor affixed to the elevator car, wherein the sensor is operated by a controller, the controller is configured to receive occupancy data associated with the elevator car. The occupancy data is analyzed to determine an occupancy of the elevator car. A first hall call is received and based at least in part on the occupancy and the first hall call, adjusting operation of the elevator car in the elevator system.

Elevator control with mobile devices

Embodiments are directed to receiving, by a computing device including a processor, an identifier associated with a mobile device based on a passive transmission of the identifier by the mobile device, and based on the receipt of the identifier, scheduling at least one service associated with an elevator system based on an anticipated demand for the at least one service.

Predictive analytics to determine elevator path and staging

In an approach for determining an optimal path for an elevator, a processor receives information, wherein the information includes social media data associated with a user and calendar entries associated with the user, indicating one or more locations within a building. A processor analyzes the received information. A processor determines a location to send an elevator within the building to minimize movement of the elevator, based on the analyzed information. A processor causes the elevator to move to the location.
