Suction device for reversible adhesion to a substrate surface
A suction device, in particular a suction cup, suction lifter, or vacuum gripper, for reversible attachment to a substrate surface, comprising a first component, which is used for the actuation of the suction device, and a second component, which can be brought into contact with the substrate surface via the suction cup surface, wherein the first component consists of at least one harder first material and the second component of at least one, in comparison to the first material, softer second material, wherein the second material is an extremely soft material with a Shore 00 hardness less than 50, wherein the thickness of the second component measures, in an unloaded condition, at least 2.5% of an outer diameter or a length or a width of the first component and/or particles and/or fibers, which are harder than the second material, are integrated into at least one second material.
LIFTING AND TILTING DEVICE
The invention provides a lifting and tilting device. The lifter has an elongated frame having one or more horizontal lifting points and one or more tilt lifting points to which a lift shackle is attached. The frame provides multiple attachment points for lifters including magnetic lifters or suction lifters allowing the device to be adjusted to lift a variety of shaped and sized ferrous and non-ferrous objects.
Controlling end effector suction area using expandable bladder
Aspects described herein include an end effector that includes a pliable body member defining an inner recess and having a sealing surface at a distal end. The sealing surface forms a seal with items and defines a first suction area. The end effector also includes an inflatable bladder that expands into the inner recess. When the bladder is in an inflated state, the bladder defines a second suction area smaller than the first suction area. The end effector also includes a vacuum port in fluid communication with the inner recess.
Apparatus and method for installing and removing panels
An apparatus for installing and removing glass panels and methods of using the apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus includes a base portion, a back support structure secured to the base portion, and a glass adjustment system moveably coupled to the back support structure. Methods for using the apparatus to install and remove glass panels from, for example, ice rink boards, are also disclosed.
Method and Apparatus for Replacement of Windshields for Recreational Vehicles, Charter Buses and Large Trucks
Disclosed is a portable lift device that is capable of lifting one or more persons and a large windshield for installing a windshield in a recreational vehicle, charter bus or other large high-profile truck.
Vacuum Adhesion System
The invention relates to a vacuum adhesion system, comprising: (a) at least one suction cup having a suction surface for attaching to a surface; (b) at least one system module, comprising: at least one vacuum pump connecting to the suction cup for applying a vacuum to the suction surface for providing suction adhesion; at least one indicator or sensor for indicating or measuring a pressure differential in the suction cup; at least one interface for communicating said measured pressure differential or a value based thereon; and a processor for controlling said vacuum adhesion system.
Suction device
A suction device includes an adapter having in the interior thereof a supply passage to which a negative pressure fluid is supplied, a bellows connected to a distal end of the adapter, and a pad member disposed at a distal end of the bellows and to which a workpiece is attracted under suction. In addition, the suction device attracts the workpiece under suction by a negative pressure fluid which is supplied to the pad member through the supply passage and the bellows. An attachment which is capable of being tilted with respect to the axis of the bellows is provided in the interior of the bellows. In the attachment, a main body portion thereof is disposed in facing relation to a suction surface of a skirt, and a shaft portion is inserted into the supply passage at a time that the workpiece is attracted under suction.
Mechanically intelligent end-of-arm tool
A mechanically intelligent end-of-arm tool includes a valve that is actuated by the action of the arm, such that a force applied to the object to be grasped opens the valve to expose a suction cup to the vacuum pressure. A spool valve, poppet valve, and butterfly valve, et al., can perform the valve function. The tool may include a button that has a rigid contact surface or may be deformable to provide a smoothing force to the object.
LINKAGE SYSTEM FOR PREHENDING OBJECTS USING IMPACTIVE FORCES
Aspects described herein include an end effector capable of prehending items using impactive and astrictive forces. The end effector includes an interface system having a deformable mounting plate and a pliable body member attached to the mounting plate. The end effector further includes a linkage system between a plurality of actuators and the interface system. The linkage system connects to lateral portions of the mounting plate.
