Load-moving equipment

The present invention relates to a load handling equipment and, more specifically, to an equipment for handling load bales tied with wire. The equipment of the present invention comprises at least one locating portion (11, 110, 1100), the locating portion (11, 110, 1100) comprising a gripping element (12, 120, 1200) formed by two gripping parts which move away and approximate to get the tie wire, wherein approaching and moving away the gripping parts is accomplished by means of a pneumatic cylinder (14, 140, 1400).

Devices and methods for handling uncured radius fillers are disclosed. The devices, i.e., radius filler transport tools, generally are configured to load a radius filler from above, to index the radius filler to a desired location (e.g., a cavity), and to downwardly unload (e.g., drop) the radius filler at the desired location. Radius filler transport tools comprise at least two trough portions, coupled together to form a trough to carry the radius filler, and a plurality of hanger assemblies configured to transversely span the trough. The radius filler transport tool may have a transport state, where the trough and the hanger assemblies are in closed states, a load state, where the trough is in the closed state and at least one hanger assembly is in an open state, and an unload state, where the trough is in an open state and the hanger assemblies are in closed states.

A lifting beam is provided. The lifting beam includes a lower beam and an upper beam arranged above the lower beam; an arranger for arranging the beams in close and releasable engagement with one another; and systems for gripping the load. The gripping systems are kept in an open position when the beams are in engagement with one another, and in a closed position when an engager is released.

CLAMP FOR WIND TURBINE ROTOR BLADE

A rotor blade clamp is provided for assisting with mounting and/or dismounting of a rotor blade. The clamp has a first clamping part and a second clamping part opposed to the first clamping part. A spring-loaded hinge connects the first clamping part to the second clamping part, and has at least one spring that biases the clamping parts apart to an opened clamp configuration. The clamp has a reeving mechanism with a first reeving portion on the first clamping part and a second reeving portion on the second clamping part. The first and second reeving portions are adapted to receive a line therebetween, whereby pulling a free portion of the line reeved through the reeving portions draws the clamping parts together to a closed clamp configuration against the bias of the at least one spring.

A shipping container containing an unirradiated nuclear fuel assembly is lifted off the ground by operating a crane to raise a lifting tool comprising a winch. The lifting tool is connected with the shipping container by a rigging line connecting with the shipping container at a lifting point located on the shipping container between the top and bottom of the shipping container, and by winch cabling connecting with the shipping container at the top of the shipping container. The shipping container is reoriented by operating the winch to adjust the length of the winch cabling so as to rotate the shipping container about the lifting point. Shortening the winch cabling rotates the shipping container about the lifting point from a horizontal orientation to a vertical orientation, while lengthening the winch cabling rotates the shipping container about the lifting point from the vertical orientation to the horizontal orientation.
