BRIDGE SPAN REPLACEMENT SYSTEM
20190352145 · 2019-11-21 ·

A vertically-adjustable gantry assembly installation adapted for removal or placement of a train bridge-span of the type which spans and is supported by two piers, comprises a gantry assembly positioned on load-bearing first ground-support locations, the gantry assembly comprising a gantry and a ground-engaging vertical support and lift system, the vertical support and lift system adapted for supporting a combined weight of the gantry and a bridge span in at least one operational vertical position above respective bridge span support-surfaces of the piers including a position corresponding to a disembarking plane in which the leg portions are extended from a stowed position to an extent at least sufficient for the gantry assembly to self-liftoff the pre-installation conveyance system onto the first ground-support locations to effect the gantry assembly installation.

CRANE

A crane with at least one main carrier which is moveable and a crane trolley which is mounted on the at least one main carrier for movement, a winch carrier being fastened to the crane trolley, and a load suspension apparatus which is moveable up and down in the vertical direction by cables hanging on the winch carrier, the load suspension apparatus having gripping tools for releasably gripping a load. The crane has at least one camera and at least one control stand for a crane driver, and the control stand has at least one screen. At least one assistance graphic can be superimposed on the at least one screen onto the display of the image recorded instantaneously by the camera, as an aid for the crane driver for orienting the load suspension apparatus and/or the gripping tool of the load suspension apparatus relative to the load to be gripped.

Facilities for processing steel. One facility includes a line for producing packages; a plurality of stackable cassettes for receiving packages; a splitter subfacility; automated transfer apparatus; and an automated overhead crane. The line may be a slitting line with the packages being coils of steel, or a cut-to-length line with the packages being stacks of steel sheets. A premises of the facility comprises a loading area in which packages from the line are loaded into cassettes, a storage area in which cassettes are stored, and a transition zone including at least one transfer position. The automated transfer apparatus moves packages and/or cassettes between the transfer position and the splitter subfacility. The automated overhead crane moves cassettes between the storage area, the loading area, and the transition zone.

METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING STANDARDISED CONTAINERS BETWEEN A CONTAINER SHIP AND A QUAY
20190241379 · 2019-08-08 ·

Method for transferring standardized containers between a container ship and a quay, using harbor cranes such as a gantry crane, wherein during the entire maneuver, the longitudinal axes of the containers are perpendicular to the edge of the quay. In order to carry out said method, two items are used: a container ship where the standardized containers are arranged with the longitudinal axes thereof orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the ship, and a harbor crane such as a gantry crane used to transfer standardized containers in a position such that the longitudinal axes thereof are orthogonal to the edge of the quay; this allows the gap between legs of the crane to be smaller than that of current cranes as said gap depends on the arrangement of the container as it passes therethrough; thus, a higher number of cranes can operate on the same ship of the same length.

STRAP HOISTING DEVICE
20190233255 · 2019-08-01 ·

A hoist or hoisting device is configure to place a pallet on a roof without the need of a person on the roof. The hoist includes a deflector that moves between a first position and a second position and releases a strap from an open hook as the deflector moves from the first position. A release arm on the deflector contacts a portion of the strap to push the strap off the open hook after the pallet has contacted the roof. The hoist may then be raised and the strap be unthreaded and pulled upward through the pallet to leave the pallet installed on the roof.

Gantry assembly and a system for replacing single or double railway bridges
10214395 · 2019-02-26 ·

A gantry assembly includes a main beam extending between a first and a second end. A plurality of legs including a pair of first legs and a pair of second legs attached to the main beam. A pair of first trolleys is slidably attached to the main beam. A first girder is attached to each one of the first trolleys and extends outwardly from the first trolleys for movement with the first trolleys. The first girder includes a pair of posts having a first and a second post disposed spaced from one another. The first post is attached to the first girder and extends downwardly from the first girder. The second post is slidably attached to the first girder and is movable along the first girder toward and away from the main beam allowing the gantry assembly to have different widths to accommodate for a single or double railway bridge.
