HOISTING ARRANGEMENT OF A HOIST OF A CRANE

The hoisting arrangement of a hoist of a of a crane, includes a trolley arranged to move along a main support structure of the crane, whereby the trolley includes a support frame structure; bearing wheels which are fastened to the support frame structure and by means of which the trolley is arranged to move along said main support structure; a hoisting mechanism that has a rope drum for a hoisting rope, a rope pulley arrangement which has upper sheave arrangements and lower rope pulley arrangements and through which the hoisting rope may be guided from the rope drum to an attachment point, and a hoisting member in cooperation with the hoisting rope for hoisting a load; whereby the rope drum is supported to the support frame structure of the trolley so that the axle of the rope drum is parallel to the main support structure. In the hoisting arrangement, the disengagement point of the hoisting rope from the rope drum, the attachment point of the sheave, and the attachment point of the first end of hoisting rope are arranged on the same vertical plane of the hoisting arrangement. The rope drum has a first end towards which the hoisting rope is wound in the hoisting member's upper position, and a second end towards which the hoisting rope is unwound in the hoisting member's lower position. The first rope pulley of the rope pulley arrangement is so placed that the release point of the hoisting rope from the first rope pulley to the first sheave is, in the axle direction of the rope drum, further from the second end than the first end of the rope drum.

A spool may include a drum rotatably supported on an axle shaft and flanges integrally formed with opposite ends of the drum. The drum has a continuous groove on the outer surface of the drum to guide the movement of the safety wireline. Both of the flanges may include an opening, internal threads circumscribing the opening, and a plurality of mechanical brakes. Each of the mechanical brakes may include a rotor rotatably supported on the axle shaft of the spool and a pawl arranged within the opening. The pawl is pivotally linked to the rotor such that when the rotation of the axle shaft is in a direction and at a rotation speed that exceeds a threshold then the pawl is moved by centrifugal force and engages with the internal threads circumscribing the opening and does not permit the spool to rotate.

CONTAINER HANDLING VEHICLE WITH AN OPEN TOP, AND METHOD OF HANDLING PRODUCT ITEMS INTO STORAGE CONTAINER CARRIED BY THE VEHICLE
20220002076 · 2022-01-06 · ·

A container handling vehicle picks up storage containers from a three-dimensional grid of an underlying storage system. The container handling vehicle includes a vehicle module part (P1); and a container lifting part. The vehicle module part (P1) includes a first set of wheels for moving the container handling vehicle in a first direction (X) and a second set of wheels for moving the container handling vehicle in a second direction (Y). The second direction is perpendicular to the first direction. The container lifting part extends sideways as a cantilever from the vehicle module part (P1) and includes a hoist frame (P2) with an opening (OSP) defining an access perimeter; a hoist mechanism carried by the hoist frame (P2); a plurality of lifting bands connected to the hoist mechanism and guided by the hoist frame (P2); and a lifting frame for releasable connection to a storage container, the lifting frame being suspended in a horizontal orientation from the hoist frame (P2) by the plurality of lifting bands. The lifting frame has an opening (OLF) defining an access perimeter. The access perimeter of the opening (OSP) in the hoist frame (P2) corresponds in shape and alignment to the access perimeter of the opening (OLF) in the lifting frame to allow access to items in the storage container through the respective openings (OSP, OLF) when the lifting frame has been lifted up to the hoist frame (P2) by the hoist mechanism.
