A ramp has a first end and a second end. The ramp includes a form core which has a first core surface and a second core surface. A metal skin is secured to and at least partially surrounds the form core. The metal skin forms at least a first skin surface secured to the first core surface and a second skin surface secured to the second core surface.

Ramp for elevating a tire for installing chains
12258249 · 2025-03-25 ·

An improved ramp for facilitating the application of snow chains to the outer tire of a dual tire configuration of a semi truck, or other dual wheeled vehicle. The ramp has a front apron that is close to and parallel to the ground. The front apron allows for the tire to drive on to the apron without pushing the ramp out from under the tire. The tire then travels up an incline section to a top, supporting surface. The bottom of the ramp has a series of adjustable friction enhancing projections that increase friction between the bottom of the ramp and the ground. The friction enhancing projections are adjustable in length, allowing for a user to make the projections longer beneath the supporting surface, further facilitating driving the tire onto the ramp.

Self-locking device and locking and unlocking equipment thereof
09574596 · 2017-02-21 ·

A self-locking device with continuous locking positions includes a housing with an internal cavity, a wall of the cavity including a first frictional contact face and a fourth frictional contact face; a locking member with a second frictional contact face and a third frictional contact face, which is movable in the cavity, with the second and third frictional contact faces facing the first and fourth frictional contact faces, respectively; and a first lock block and a second lock block, with the first lock block being arranged between and contacting with the first and second frictional contact faces, and the second lock block being arranged between and contacting with the third and fourth frictional contact faces. The first and second lock blocks allow the locking member to be movable with respect to the housing in a first direction but locked in a second direction opposite to the first direction.

Vehicle Ramp
20250340413 · 2025-11-06 ·

The present disclosure relates to a vehicle ramp, comprising a ramp body formed by an acute-angle front ramp portion and a rear ramp portion. The core innovation lies in the pivotally connected rotatable anti-slip washer at the lip edge of the front ramp portion: when deployed, it forms a ground transition extension zone, where a reverse static friction force is generated between the washer and the ground utilizing the downforce of the tire, which effectively prevents rearward sliding displacement of the ramp. The washer achieves deployment and locking through the nesting of the protrusion and hollowed-out area, and when retracted, it is secured by a latching block within the groove to maintain the cleanliness of the friction surface.

Wheelchair location sensing device for a wheelchair accessible vehicle
12478521 · 2025-11-25 · ·

Provided herein is a controller configured to determine the position, direction, or speed of a wheelchair during ingress or egress in a wheelchair accessible vehicle. The controller may receive input from any combination of sensors configured to provide signals indicative of the wheelchair position, direction, or speed, such as cameras, light curtains, and floor pressure sensors. The controller can be configured to sense and correct unsafe conditions, such as the wheelchair approaching an edge of a ramp, and to sense when the wheelchair has reached a final securement position and/or has departed the vehicle.
