DUAL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
A boom assembly includes a lower boom, an upper boom, and an actuator assembly. The lower boom has an upper end and a base end. The base end is configured to be pivotally coupled to a lift device. The upper boom has a lower end pivotally coupled to the upper end of the lower boom. The actuator assembly has (i) a first end coupled to at least one of the upper end of the lower boom and the lower end of the upper boom, and (ii) an opposing second end coupled to the upper boom. The actuator assembly includes a first actuator and a second actuator. The second actuator is rigidly joined to the first actuator at the first end of the actuator assembly and flexibly joined to the first actuator at the opposing second end of the actuator assembly.
Aerial lift platform with dielectric anchor
An anchoring assembly is provided for the aerial lift platform of an aerial lift vehicle. The anchor assembly extends through the walls of a bucket liner and a bucket platform, and provides a strong anchor disposed inside of the bucket liner for use in attaching an operator harness to prevent the operator from being ejected from the bucket platform. The anchor assembly also provides dielectric protection mandated by OSHA and ANSI standards.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING A CROSS ARM ON A UTILITY POLE
A system is disclosed which provides the ability to install a cross arm on a power pole utilizing an electrically isolated bucket which is free of all hydraulic components used by an operator in the bucket to manipulate the bucket. The system also utilizes an in-the-bucket rechargeable battery powered electric tool such as a saw, drill etc. without a need for a hydraulic electric generator in the bucket. The system includes the ability to provide communication to and from and to supply electrical power to remote portions of an electrically isolated boom, by transmitting optical power and control signals through an electrically non-conductive optical fiber.
SAFETY DEVICE FOR MOBILE WORK PLATFORMS
A land vehicle assembly is provided with a platform for an operator workspace. A control panel is supported upon the platform in electrical communication with the land vehicle. A caution switch is supported upon the platform in electrical communication with the control panel to provide a signal to the control panel indicative of a caution event. A cable is connected to the caution switch to extend across the control panel. The cable is spaced apart from the control panel so that a predetermined force upon the flexible member actuates the caution switch without significantly obstructing the control panel. A manual force upon the flexible member expands the operator workspace. The control panel is programmed to control a mobile operation of the land vehicle, and discontinue the mobile operation of the land vehicle in response to receipt of the caution event signal.
ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT, LOAD CELL, LOAD DETECTION DEVICE AND VEHICLE COMPRISING A LOAD DETECTION DEVICE
An electrical circuit includes an SG full bridge circuit, a first resistor series connection connected between the terminals of an energy supply gate of the SG full bridge circuit and having a first tap between two resistors, and a second resistor series connection connected between the terminals of a signal gate of the SG full bridge circuit and having a second tap between two resistors.
CRANE MECHANISM AND WORK PLATFORM WITH LOAD DETECTION MEANS AND INTEGRATED INCLINATION SENSOR
A crane mechanism and a work platform with a load detection apparatus and integrated inclination sensor includes a load cell. The crane mechanism for moving the work platform can be mounted on a base and includes a tiltable boom. The load cell is arranged between the tiltable boom and the work platform as only connection and includes a force sensor and an inclination sensor. The force sensor is configured to detect a force, a lateral or yaw or torsional moment between the crane mechanism and the work platform. The inclination sensor is configured to determine an inclination of the work platform. The force sensor and the inclination sensor have a common housing.
WORKS MACHINE COMPRISING MORE RELIABLE MEANS OF NEUTRALIZING A SAFETY DEVICE
The works machine (10) includes safety devices (30), able to switch the machine (10) from a normal operating state to a safety shutdown state, a unit (32) for neutralizing this safety shutdown state, including an activation element able to switch the machine (10) from the safety shutdown state to a forced operation state, and an auxiliary unit controlling the machine (10) able to command the machine (10) in the forced operation state when they are actuated. The neutralizing unit (32) include a computer device (34) including: the activation element, a memory device (50), and a unit (52) for recording, in the memory device (50), information according to which the activation element has been actuated.
Personnel basket for overhead cranes
A personnel basket that provides a partially enclosed work platform that may be readily attached or detached from the end of a crane boom and may be maintained level with the ground when suspended from a crane boom above ground and that is also capable of being collapsed from a work ready position into a stowed position of substantially smaller spatial volume when not in use.
RESCUE CAGE, AND HOISTING RESCUE VEHICLE EQUIPPED THEREWITH
The invention relates to a rescue cage (4) for a hoisting rescue vehicle (1) having a turntable ladder (3), comprising a cage base (5), a cage barrier (6) and at least one column-type support element (7) that projects from the cage base (5) and is located in the outer peripheral region of the cage base (5). A first receiving device (15) is arranged or formed on the cage base (5) in the area of the support element (7). On the side facing the cage base (5), the support element (7) includes a first connecting element (16) that is connected to the first receiving device (15) in such a way as to be detachable as required. The invention further relates to a hoisting rescue vehicle (1) equipped with a rescue cage (4) of said type as well as a person holding unit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDLE MITIGATION ON A UTILITY TRUCK WITH AN ELECTRICALLY ISOLATED HYDRAULICALLY CONTROLLED AERIAL WORK PLATFORM
An idle mitigation system for a bucket truck which includes an alternate source of power for the vehicle air conditioner which is coupled to the hydraulic system of the bucket truck which hydraulic system is alternately powered by an electric motor which, when run in reverse, can charge batteries.
