Embodiments provide for online and/or electronic card games such as blackjack that allow at least one card to be dealt from a special deck (e.g., a restricted deck) into a hand, while the remainder of the cards for that hand (and, in some embodiments, other hands involved in the game event) are dealt from a main/conventional deck. In accordance with some embodiments, the at least one card dealt from the special deck is dealt into a hand of the player while in other embodiments it is dealt into the hand of a dealer and/or an opponent player. A special deck may be a deck that includes cards configured to provide an advantage to the player (e.g., in a blackjack game, restricted deck may only include high value cards if being used for a player hand or only low value cards if being used for a dealer hand).

A gaming system for enabling enhancement of wagering outcomes includes: a) multiple gaming sites having a game play surface with a light display element on the game play surface at a player position; b) a processor; c) a player input control at the player position, the player input control in communication with the processor; and d) a random number generator in communication with the processor. The light display on the game play surface at the player hand position has lights, and a power source in communication with the lights; the processor, in response to random selections for the light display element at the player position, is configured to direct that the lights at the player hand position are randomly lit. Lights may also be present at a dealer hand position. The lights indicate at least one of an immediate award, multiplier or bonus event, including a progressive jackpot.

A method and systems enable executing of game content in a player-versus-player(s) point count game using community playing cards or non-community playing cards. A target maximum point count is defined, initial playing card symbol hands of 1-2 playing card symbols is provided to each player position, and then an order defined sequence of cards is provided. A winner among the players has a final point count closest to the target maximum without exceeding it, and ties in final point counts are broken by a better hand having better poker rank or more total cards used in forming a player's final point count total hand. Wagering events with players placing value at risk in execution of the game may also be made.

A method, system, and computer readable storage to implement an entertainment system which can be used for wagering. A side wager can be based on a point total of two initial cards dealt. If the point total occurs, then the side wager would win and if the point total does not occur then the side wager would lose.

A modified game of Blackjack is disclosed. The game includes providing at least one deck of playing cards. In the game, a bet of some value is placed by each of the one or more players. A first hand is dealt to each one of the one or more players by dealing a first playing card face down. The first playing card to the dealer is dealt face up. Winning of the hand and loss of each player bet occurs if the dealer has an Ace as the first playing card or winning of the hand and bet by any one or more of the players having an Ace as the first playing card. A second card is dealt face down to each of the one or more players and to the dealer if there is no Ace in any first playing card of the first hand.

In a card game between a dealer and at least one player, a fixed starting value is presented on a game table before cards are dealt. The game table includes one or more predesignated areas on which the fixed starting value is presented. One or more player cards are dealt to the at least one player, the one or more player cards having respective card values which, when added together with the fixed starting value, determine a point total for the at least one player. One or more dealer cards are dealt to the dealer, the one or more dealer cards having respective card values which, when added together with the fixed starting value, determine a point total for the dealer. A game outcome is determined based on at least one of the point total for the at least one player or the point total for the dealer.

A system for playing blackjack requires a player or electronic system to: (i) receive a first bet from a player; (ii) deal an initial two-card hand to the player; (iii) deal one or more additional cards to the player; (iv) determine whether a sum total value of the initial two-card hand and the one or more additional cards exceeds twenty-one; (v) if so, offer the player an opportunity to place an additional bet; (vi) receive, from the player, the additional bet; (vii) in response receiving the additional bet, deal a final card to the player (optionally from a shoe that is different from that used for the initial hand); (vii) subtract a value of the final card from the sum total value to yield a new value; and (ix) based on the new value, determine whether the player has a winning hand, a push, or a losing hand.
