A wearable glove for interacting with virtual objects is described herein. An example wearable glove includes a fabric material to be worn on a user's hand. The wearable glove also includes a matrix made of an elastic polymer, the matrix including a plurality of voids, each respective void (i) including at least one fluidic actuator and (ii) not being fluidically coupled with a positionally adjacent void. The wearable glove additionally includes a non-fluidic actuator configured to restrict movement of one of the user's digits; and one or more position sensors for monitoring positional data used to a determine a position of the wearable glove within a three-dimensional space. The wearable device can control the at least one fluidic actuator and the at least one non-fluidic actuator to simulate real-world interactions in the artificial-reality environment based on the position of the wearable device as compared to respective positions of virtual objects.

A complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) device embedded with micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) components in a MEMS region is disclosed. The MEMS components, for example, are infrared (IR) thermosensors. The MEMS sensors are integrated on the CMOS device monolithically after CMOS processing. For example, the MEMS sensors are formed over a BEOL dielectric of a CMOS device. The device is encapsulated with a CMOS compatible IR transparent cap to hermetically seal the MEMS sensors in the MEMS region.

A MEMS pressure sensor packaged with a molding compound. The MEMS pressure sensor features a lead frame, a MEMS semiconductor die, a second semiconductor die, multiple pluralities of bonding wires, and a molding compound. The MEMS semiconductor die has an internal chamber, a sensing component, and apertures. The MEMS semiconductor die and the apertures are exposed to an ambient atmosphere. A method is desired to form a MEMS pressure sensor package that reduces defects caused by mold flashing and die cracking. Fabrication of the MEMS pressure sensor package comprises placing a lead frame on a lead frame tape; placing a MEMS semiconductor die adjacent to the lead frame and on the lead frame tape with the apertures facing the tape and being sealed thereby; attaching a second semiconductor die to the MEMS semiconductor die; attaching pluralities of bonding wires to form electrical connections between the MEMS semiconductor die, the second semiconductor die, and the lead frame; and forming a molding compound.

An electronic integrated circuit (IC) component is mounted to a substrate. A cap member is applied onto the substrate and covers the electronic IC component. The cap member includes an outer wall defining an opening and an inner wall surrounding the electronic IC component. The inner wall extends from a proximal end at the substrate towards a distal end facing the opening in the outer wall to provide a reception chamber for the electronic IC component and a peripheral chamber between the inner wall and the outer wall of the cap member. An encapsulant material is provided in the reception chamber to seal the electronic IC component without being present in the peripheral chamber.
