Deque System of Representational Game State
20210236933 · 2021-08-05 ·

A system that allows direct manipulation of numerical parameters while playing games. Vertical columns of physical units are formed into deques that each represent between one and three parameters of the game state at a given time. The game's mechanics are defined as a set of state transitions, each of which map a configuration of units/deques, along with a nonnegative integer input, to a new configuration of units/deques. This new configuration directly represents the resultant game state and parameters thereof, and is naturally subject to further systematic manipulation.

PRIMULAM

A board game incorporating the Ulam Spiral in which players compete to advance along a square spiral path of natural numbers via the prime numbers which are color coded according to the order of the subsequence of primes to which they belong. A player can occupy only one position on the board at any one time, and the player's position is determined by the prime index total that is accumulated via the roll of a die at each turn. The first player to reach the first prime number above some predetermined point on the natural number line wins the game.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL EXPANDABLE BOARD GAME

Building blocks that facilitate configuration and assembly of playing pieces, in shapes of stair-like or clusterable edge-connected partially or fully cube-shaped pieces, are provided. According to a particular configuration of blocks, a main sub-block in the shape of half-cubes is provided, with multi edge-connectivity formation means/possibilities. The edge connectivity possibilities of the provided half-cubes are mainly implemented for the purpose of assembling and configuring clusterable stair-like playing pieces including multi-edge- and/or face-connectable cubes.

AUGMENTED REALITY GAMING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20210121779 · 2021-04-29 ·

An augmented reality (AR) game system is disclosed wherein real-world objects are transformed into AR terrain elements and AR events generate real-world impact. The game environment is set up using real-world objects that include everyday objects and game pieces on a field of play. When viewed on the screen of a computing device executing the modules of the game system, the everyday objects are transformed into elements of an AR terrain while the game pieces can be augmented with various controls. Multiple viewing modes, for example, a third person view, a first person view or “POV” view from a selected game piece or a split screen view are contemplated for viewing the field of play. A subset of the augmented controls can be activated by the user to execute AR events some of which can have real-world impact. The AR events are executed based on game rules.

A chess variant includes (a) one of an 8 by 8 board, a 8 by 10 board, or a 10 by 10 board; (b) a conventional chess piece set; and (c) a novel non-conventional chess piece set, wherein the pieces of the non-conventional chess piece set perform non-standard movements with rules associated therewith to govern how the pieces move and capture upon the board. Additionally, the set of rules governing how the rules of movement for the piece can undergo a change when a non-conventional chess piece reaches the furthest rank, akin to the process of promotion in standard chess.

Display Base with Extendable-Retractable Cord and Cord End Device
20210146266 · 2021-05-20 ·

The present invention is a device for action-figures, game-characters, dolls, or models used in strategy and role-play game play that comprises a display base comprising a character attachment means, a cord dispensing (extending)/cord recoiling (retracting) mechanism, and a cord end device attached at the free end of the cord length contained within said cord dispensing/recoiling mechanism. The invention is used during gameplay, with the cord end device and the display base separated by the length of cord extended from the cord dispensing/recoiling mechanism to display a separation of distance, angular range, limit of distance, range of motion, range of boundary, or other gameplay parameter demonstrable by a cord length connecting two separated devices, to demonstrate, confirm, and/or measure the player's character's features, functions, parameters, and/or limitations of gameplay within the game.
