Ball delivery device, system, and method
A ball delivery device, system, and method housing a plurality of balls for a game session is presented. The ball delivery device includes a mixing chamber, at least one instruction to start the game session, an identifier, at least one arm, a ball holder, a reader and a tube. The mixing chamber receives the balls for the game session. After receiving an instruction to begin the game session, balls are singly drawn from the mixing chamber. The identifier disposed on each ball uniquely identifies each ball. The arm mixes the balls in the mixing chamber. The ball holder disposed on the arm holds a single ball that is randomly selected from the mixing chamber. The reader reads the identifier of the ball selected by the ball holder. The tube receives each selected ball and holds the selected balls after the identifier reads the ball and until completion of the game session.
GAME OF CHANCE ALLOWING USER PARTICIPATION IN OUTCOME SELECTION
A game of chance is disclosed allowing an outcome determined by the actions of a player. The game of chance comprises a layout defining a plurality of cells. A first portion of the cells each have a winning indicia contained therein, and a remaining portion of the cells each have a non-winning indicia contained therein. The winning and non-winning indicia are initially concealed to a player and are selectively revealable by the player. The player may select a limited number of cells to reveal the indicia contained therein. An object of the game is to maximize a number of winning indicia revealed by the player.
LOTTERY TRANSACTION MECHANISMS
A number of mechanisms can reduce transaction costs and increase the economic viability of a number of products. A combination instant lottery ticket and debit card makes it possible to issue prepaid debit cards having a relatively low monetary value. A combination on-line ticket or receipt and debit card can automate the prize paying process, simplifying the retailer's responsibilities while reducing the potential for fraud. Various cash flow and authentication techniques, such as age and location verification, nano payment methods and spam filters based on these mechanisms are also described. Instant lottery tickets, and in particular, losing tickets, can be provided with a small residual value by placing account information on the ticket. In another version, a lottery ticket can be combined with a payment card that operates as a closed payment system whereby the payment card can only be used with a specified vendor.
Scratch-off structures
Herein is described a scratch-off structure comprising the following layers in order: a substrate having a first layer showing information thereon, a second layer comprising a polymeric film and being substantially transparent; a third layer comprising a transparent electrostatic ink; a fourth layer, wherein the fourth layer is coloured. Methods for making scratch-off structures and collections of scratch-off structures are also described.
BINGO GAMING SYSTEM
An electronic bingo gaming system enables the entertainment mechanisms in Class II gaming machines to mimic the look and feel of the Class III games on which those entertainment mechanisms are based. The system is constructed to minimize any wait times by players that commence a bingo game or join a bingo game already in progress. To create consistency in what players are hoping to see on their bingo cards, the bingo game may use a single interim prize pattern required to win an interim prize that is the same for all players and is the same as a game ending pattern that ends the bingo game.
Lottery ticket pack verification system and method
A lottery ticket pack verification system and method for simultaneously scanning a plurality of picked lottery ticket packs and for determining if the scanned lottery ticket packs are the correct lottery ticket packs based on a lottery ticket pack pick list.
Allocation of jackpots in a lottery game
There is described a method of determining jackpots comprising the steps of: determining a total jackpot amount; determining whether the total jackpot amount is at least equal to a threshold, the threshold being equal to a maximum jackpot amount plus an excess jackpot amount; when the total jackpot amount is at least equal to the threshold, setting a main jackpot at the maximum jackpot amount, the main jackpot associated with a main draw; and determining a number of additional draws and corresponding additional jackpots, each to be won using a same player selection as for the main jackpot, using the excess jackpot amount, the corresponding additional jackpots being awarded independently of an allocation of the main jackpot, wherein at least one of the steps is performed by a processor.
Location, age and identity verification for mobile gaming
A method for mobile game play includes determining a location of a mobile device from one or more of GPS, NFC, RFID, or Bluetooth. An accuracy value of the location of the mobile device is determined. A region of confidence within which the mobile device is known to be within is determined based on the determined accuracy value. The region of confidence is substantially circular with a center at the determined location and a radius that is proportional in length to the determined accuracy value. An extent to which the region of confidence is within one or more pertinent jurisdictions is determined. Mobile game play is permitted when it is determined that the region of confidence is entirely within the one or more pertinent jurisdictions.
Three dimensional letters word game components and game methods of play
A game apparatus and game methods of play that provide mental exercises to increase the level of abstract thinking to create 3-D objects from universally accepted 2-D flat patterns. Since we read and write on 2-D surfaces, the shapes we associate most with a 2-D environment are alphanumeric characters. Combining letters and numbers in a 3-D environment creates challenging exercises for visualizing 3-D shapes. The competitive games involve a series of 3-D manipulative modules. Play of the games involves scoring points for creating and/or discerning words made up of letters recognized from the 3-D manipulative modules. The games are for multiple players and can also be implemented electronically and online.
Metallized scratch-off on-demand printed construct
A direct thermal printable construct, such as a ticket, game piece, coupon, collection piece, label, security card, or voucher includes a thermally printable medium and a metallized layer bonded directly or indirectly to the thermally printable medium. A thermosensitive imaging layer of the thermally printable medium is printable by exposing the metallized layer to localized heat of a thermal printer for inducing local changes in the color of the thermosensitive imaging layer that are obscured from view through both the metallized layer and a base substrate of the thermally printable medium. One or more areas of the metallized layer are arranged to be removable by a scratching action using a fingernail or coin for revealing the underlying local changes in the color of the thermosensitive imaging layer.
