Expanded bed affinity selection
Separation of materials is achieved using affinity binding and acoustophoretic techniques. A column provided with a fluid mixture of materials for separation and support structures may be used with acoustic waves to block flow of the support structures. The support structures can have an affinity for one or more materials in the fluid mixture. By blocking flow of the support structures, materials bound or adhered to the support structure are also blocked.
Determine particle size distribution by size exclusion chromatography
A method and an apparatus for characterising a sample comprising particles is disclosed. The method comprises performing a first measurement on the sample using a first particle characterisation technique; flowing the sample from the first particle characterisation technique to a particle separating device; separating the sample with the particle separating device; and performing a second measurement on the separated sample. The apparatus is configured to perform the method, and comprises a measurement system for performing measurements according to a first particle characterisation technique and a particle separating device for separating samples comprising particles.
Porous scaffolds for electrochemically-controlled reversible capture and release of alkenes
In some embodiments, the present disclosure pertains to a method for capturing alkenes that includes: associating the alkenes with metal-organic frameworks, where the metal-organic frameworks includes one or more metals and one or more ligands coordinated with the one or more metals, and where the metal-organic frameworks are conductive; and oxidizing the metal-organic frameworks, where the oxidizing results in a capturing of the alkenes by the metal-organic frameworks. Additional embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to a system for capturing alkenes that includes: metal-organic frameworks, where the metal-organic frameworks include one or more metals and one or more ligands coordinated with the one or more metals, and where the metal-organic frameworks are conductive; and an alkene feed source associated with the metal-organic frameworks, where the alkene feed source is configured to deliver an alkene feed to the system.
Material phase with electrical lead
A chromatograph is provided for identifying components of a mixture. Components are identified by different rates of adsorption and/or desorption with a material phase. In one embodiment, an electrical lead is connected to the material phase for supplying an electrical charge to the material phase. The electrical charge alters the rate of adsorption/desorption of the components with the material phase. In another embodiment, the material phase is disposed between two conductors with electrical leads connected to each of the conductors. A charge differential between the two conductors alters the rate of adsorption and/or desorption of components with the material phase.
VEGF DIMER MOLECULES AND COLUMNS COMPRISING A VEGF DIMER MOLECULE AS WELL AS USES, PRODUCTION METHODS AND METHODS INVOLVING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a column comprising a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) dimer molecule, a method for preparing such a column, a VEGF dimer molecule, an expression vector and a recombinant host cell encoding for a VEGF dimer, as well as uses and methods related thereto.
METHODS FOR THE PURIFICATION OF PROTEINS USING CAPRYLIC ACID
A protein purification process with virus inactivation or removal uses caprylic acid (octanoic acid) at acidic pH. The method comprises caprylic acid treatment as part of the chromatographic step so as to perform viral inactivation without a discontinuous process and without the requirement of attention by personnel, particularly when the pH adjustment of the eluate is performed automatically by eluting into buffer. The method of the invention further results in mycoplasmas being inactivated, and reduced impurities like Host Cell Protein (HCP).
DEGASSING UNIT
A degassing module that may be used in conjunction with a sorbent regeneration cartridge is described. The degassing module may include an air inlet port, a fluid outlet port, a gas outlet port, first and second channels located in an interior chamber, a port connecting the first and second channels, and a hydrophobic membrane positioned above the second channel. The first channel may be in fluid communication with the air inlet port and the second channel may be in communication with the fluid outlet port. In some embodiments, each of the first and second channels may have a spiral configuration.

MULTI-DIMENSIONAL LIGAND-ASSISTED CHROMATOGRAPHY METHOD FOR THE PURIFICATION OF COMPLEX REE AND OTHER METAL IONS FORM MIXTURES/MINERALS
A method for separating substantially pure rare earth metals and other metals from a mixed source, including putting a plurality of rare earth metals and other metals into solution to define a solution containing a plurality of respective metal ions, in at least one chromatographic column, selectively capturing ions of each respective metal with a respective ligand to define a plurality of respective discrete bands, and respectively eluting captured ions of respective metal from each respective band of the at least one chromatographic column to yield a plurality of purified solutions, each respective purified solution having a high concentration of a respective metal. The bands may either be stationary with respect to the columns, or may move through the columns.
Method of Antigen-Binding Protein Production
The present disclosure relates to methods of re-oxidizing an antigen-binding protein.
