Connection assembly

A connection assembly is disclosed for connecting a magnetic separator into a central heating system circuit, the magnetic separator including a housing, a separation chamber within the housing, and externally threaded inlet and outlet ports extending from the housing. The connection assembly comprises: a fitment adapted to be received within at least one of the ports of the separator, the fitment including a bore for carrying fluid from/to the central heating circuit to/from the separator; a threaded connector disposed around the bore for securing the fitment to the or each port, the threaded connector having a hand grip area for facilitating tightening of the connector by hand; and a removable force transfer element receivable between the fitment and the threaded connector for transferring force between the threaded connector and the fitment.

A stormwater vault and a process for servicing the stormwater vault speeds the process of cleaning a stormwater vault. The stormwater vault has a built in liquefaction system for liquefying settled debris in the vault which works together with a sloped or angled floor in the vault. The settled debris is flushed toward the inlet to a vacuum removal line inserted into the vault through an access opening for removing the settled debris from the vault.

Hydrodynamic separator

A separator unit includes a tank defining an internal volume and having an inlet and an outlet. A deck within the tank separates the tank into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. A weir at an upper side of the deck defines an inlet side atop the deck for receiving an influent liquid and an outlet side atop the deck, with a first opening through the deck on the inlet side for delivering liquid down into the lower chamber, and a second opening through the deck on the outlet side for delivering liquid from the lower chamber back up into the upper chamber. The separator includes one or more of an integrated drop pipe assembly with a dispersal manifold, a riser pipe with a vortex disrupting vane and/or a weir configuration that in part follows a periphery of the second opening.

HYDRODYNAMIC WATER-OIL SEPARATION BREAKTHROUGH
20180333655 · 2018-11-22 ·

An improved water-oil separation apparatus with a separation vessel and associated water leg having internal inlet piping that feeds fluids to an engineered degassing boot, having an engineered degassing boot that is more effective in removing entrained gases from the incoming fluid stream, having an umbrella shaped upper baffle instead of an inverted umbrella shaped upper baffle, having an improved oil collection bucket or weir, having a much improved inlet water spiral distribution apparatus, having an improved water leg design, and having a water leg with a functional height that is externally adjustable to make it easier to regulate the oil-water interface level within the separation vessel.

Separator device

A separator device is provided for removing particles from suspension in a fluid comprises a housing having first and second ports for ingress and egress of fluid into and out of the housing, the first and second ports being on the same vertical line; and at least one separation chamber for separating solid particles from the fluid.

Settling basin insert
10052570 · 2018-08-21 · ·

A settling basin insert for controlling fluid flow into a settling basin has a first and second side wall in opposition, and a top surface extending between the first and second side walls, defining a sump extending from head to end. Fluid apertures extend through the top surface to permit fluid to communicate with the sump and an access aperture in the top surface permits a vacuum hose to pass into the sump. The first side wall is taller than the second side wall, and the first and second side walls each define a guide wall extending above the top surface. The second side wall is configured to be adjacent the settling basin. The first and second side walls direct inflowing fluid along the settling basin insert and through the fluid apertures in the top surface, decelerating the fluid for settling of sediment in the settling basin insert.

Sand separator interface detection

A sand separator is provided that includes a separation chamber and a drain. The sand separator comprises a meter in fluid communication with an interior of the separation chamber, wherein the meter is configured to detect a liquid/solid interface. Meter electronics in electrical communication with the meter are configured to receive a signal from the meter indicating the liquid/solid interface.

Separator device

A separator device for removing particles from suspension in a liquid includes a housing having first and second chambers with apertures for ingress and egress of liquid into the first chamber. Means are provided for setting up a swirl of liquid within the first chamber. Apertures enable flow of liquid between the first chamber and the second chamber. Means are also provided for setting up a swirl of liquid within the second chamber. The swirl in the second chamber is in substantially the opposite direction to the swirl in the first chamber, and there is no substantial flow in the second chamber which is in the same direction as the swirl in the first chamber.
