Cleaning Systems and Methods for Rotary Screen Separators
A cleaning system for a screen of a rotary screen separator for processing feed material comprising liquids and solids has a housing, an air source, and a conduit system. The housing defines at least one housing chamber, at least one inlet opening, and at least one outlet slot. The conduit system is operatively connected between the inlet opening of the housing and the air source. Air flows from the air source through conduit system, through the inlet opening, into the housing chamber, and out of the housing chamber through the at least one outlet slot in at least one air flow stream extending along a flow plane. The housing is arranged relative to the screen of the rotatory screen separator such that the air flow stream impinges on the screen to remove debris from the screen.
FILTRATION DEVICE
A filtering device includes a filter tank, a first drum filter both ends of which are supported, and a cantilever second drum filter. A first end portion of the first drum filter is supported on a first sidewall of the filter tank. A second end portion of the first drum filter is supported on a second sidewall. An end portion of the second drum filter on the supported side is supported on the first sidewall. Between an end portion of the second drum filter on the non-supported side and the second sidewall, a communicating part is formed. A first jetting section jets a fluid against an outer circumferential surface of the first drum filter. A second jetting section is arranged in the vicinity of the second drum filter and jets the fluid against the second drum filter.

WATER FILTER
A filter includes a filter assembly deployed within a pressure vessel. The filter includes a series of filter configurations arranged along a central flow path connected to an outlet. Each filter configuration has filter screens overlying at least one filtrate channel which directs filtered fluid to the central flow path, A partition is deployed within the pressure vessel so as to subdivide the pressure vessel into a first filter chamber and a second filter chamber, each containing a number of the filter assemblies. A flow diverter is deployed in the central flow path for diverting a flow of filtered liquid passing along the central flow path from the first filter chamber so as to flow outwards from the central flow path to undergo a second filtering in the second filter chamber. Also disclosed is an outlet flow throttling arrangement to avoid overload of a backwash cleaning system.
Disc filters and methods of operating disc filters
Disclosed herein are disc filters for dewatering a fiber suspension. According to a first aspect, the disc filter includes a vessel comprising an inlet positioned in a wall of the vessel, the inlet introducing a fiber suspension into the vessel. The disc filter further includes a rotor shaft comprising a shaft axis of rotation positioned in a shaft plane, wherein the shaft plane is a horizontal plane. At least one filter element may be coupled to the rotor shaft. At least one injector may be positioned in the wall of the vessel, the at least one injector introducing a secondary flow of liquid into the vessel. The at least one injector may be located in the wall of the vessel at an injector elevation angle .sub.I that is greater than 44 degrees and less than or equal to +22 degrees relative to the shaft plane.
Filtering apparatus and method
A liquid (2), such as wastewater, is filtered using a liquid-permeable filtering element (9) having first and second faces (10, 11) so as to produce filtered liquid (4) having total suspended solids of no more than 10 mg/L. The method comprises cycling the liquid-permeable filtering element through the liquid whereby, in a first position, an area of the first face of the filtering element is subjected to liquid under pressure and a pressure across the filtering element is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 5.9 kPa (60 cm H.sub.2O), and, in a second position, the area is not subjected to liquid under pressure or is subjected to liquid at a lower pressure, and solids accumulated on the first face of the filtering element can be removed by directing at least one jet at the second face of the filtering element through the filtering element towards the first face.
COMBINED DEHYDRATION DEVICE
This combined dehydration device continuously supplies primarily dehydrated sludge to a sludge supply part, the combined dehydration device including: a multiple rotary disk-type solid-liquid separation device and an electroosmosis dehydration device. In the multiple rotary disk-type solid-liquid separation device, a plurality of rotary shafts in which a plurality of rotary disks are fitted and mounted are arranged from the upstream side toward the downstream side and pivotally supported; while the rotary disks are rotated, water to be treated including sludge is supplied from over the rotary disks at the upstream side and is subjected to a primary dehydration treatment; and first dehydrated sludge on the rotary disks is fed and discharged from a sludge discharge part located at the most downstream portion of the rotary disks. In the electroosmosis dehydration device, a sludge supply part is provided at the upstream side of an endless filtration fabric spread between rollers.
Belt press filter belt changing assembly
A belt press filter belt changing assembly that includes two upright members, a wrap bar, a dowel rod, and a means of temporarily affixing the assembly to a belt press filter. The belt press filter changing assembly facilitates rapid, efficient, and safe changing of the belt press filter's continuous belts while requiring less personnel using less physical exertion than current solutions.
SCREENING DEVICE HAVING PIVOTABLE SCREENING PANELS
A screening device having screening panels which are oriented transversely to the flow direction of a stream of liquid and each have a screening surface and form a circulating continuous screening belt which can be immersed in the stream of liquid. The successive screening panels form a common screening surface in the sluice channel, wherein the circulatory motion of the continuous screening belt is kept substantially completely within a single plane. The pivot axes about which the screening panels are pivoted at return points of the continuous screening belt are perpendicular to the common screening surface. The screening surfaces of the screening panels have a plurality of recesses and/or elevations running adjacent to one another over the screening surface.
