The disclosed technology regards a wet dust extractor system with a water/solids separator for filtering slurry from the extractor into residue cakes and filtrate water, and related methods of removing dust from an industrial environment and dewatering resulting sludge. The wet dust extractor system has an air inlet, an impeller fan, and an extraction panel. Water is injected at the inlet of the fan impeller, where it is spun with the incoming dust laden air; the resulting slurry then passes to the extraction panel, which removes the slurry from the system by means of a discharge sump. The slurry then is pumped or otherwise delivered to the separator for filtering slurry into residue cakes and filtrate water. The separator includes a frame supporting a plurality of rollers supporting a filter media belt, a plurality of blades and wipers for cleaning the rollers and removing excess filtrate water and cake material, and an inlet water manifold to distribute slurry water uniformly on the filter media belt. The frame supports a filter bed, with a slurry receiving area having a perforated panel at its base, for receiving, pre-filtering and moving the slurry through the separator, and a filter bed collection tub with an exit aperture for collecting and delivering filtrate to a water holding tank. The filter media belt traverses the plurality of rollers, through and about the filter bed, supported along a portion of its path by the perforated panel. Both a residue cake bin and a clean water holding tank may be provided with the system to collect residue and filtrate water, respectively, for re-use or disposal.

Device for concentrating a fluid mixture comprising both liquid and solid parts

A device for concentrating an object to be treated has a filter body in which a movable plate is disposed between adjacent annular fixed plates, the moveable plate being formed in the same annular shape. Sludge filtrate passes through filtrate inflow gaps between the fixed plates and the movable plate before being caused to flow into the filter body. The movable plate is moved so that solids in the sludge are kept from clogging the filtrate inflow gaps. A cleaning member is caused to rub against the outer peripheral surfaces of the fixed plates so that solids adhering to the outer peripheral surfaces of the fixed plates are scraped off. The movable plates of said device are caused to perform a circular movement by eccentric cams fixed to the shaft. The cleaning member is fixed to the shaft, and caused to rotate around the shaft by the rotation of the shaft so that solids adhering to the outer peripheral surfaces of the fixed plates are scraped off.

POND PUMP WITH A SELF-CLEANING FILTER UNIT
20180116188 · 2018-05-03 ·

A pump-and-filter assembly for use in a pond, pool, or fountain. The pump unit creates a flow of water into an intake port and out through a discharge port and a filter unit mounted in front of the pump unit for filtering water flowing through the pump. The filter unit has a turbulence-producing device that produces turbulence in the water on the outside of the filter element. The turbulence in the water that is being drawn into the filter impedes or prevents the build-up of material deposits on the outside surface of the filter element.

A continuous process for filtering a suspension of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid crystals by means of a rotary pressure filter equipped with a drum, a surface of which is provided with cells covered with a filter medium, the drum rotating within a fixed concentric cylinder comprising at least three zones sealed from each other, respectively a filtration zone, a washing zone and a discharge zone, each zone opening onto the cells.

ROTARY DRUM FILTERING MACHINE FOR ALGAE FILTRATION
20240375028 · 2024-11-14 · ·

Rotary drum filtering machine and method for filtration of harvested algae. A filtering drum, axially rotatable horizontally, includes a filtration basket with thermally coupled mesh netting for retaining algae and passing through liquid when filtering drum is rotated. Feeding liquid containing algae is fed into filtering drum via inlet pipe. Filtered algae retained on internal surface of filtration basket is scraped and collected, and removed through outlet pipe. Filtration basket is axially embedded and releasably secured to a support frame. Mesh netting is thermally pressed into filtration basket such that filtration basket polymer material penetrates through mesh netting apertures, and polymeric rod thermally pressed onto mesh netting fuses to filtration basket polymer material with mesh netting contained therebetween. Mesh netting includes wired mesh with wire diameter less than 1,000 pm and micron sized apertures having aperture diameter of 1 pm-500 pm to enable filtration of micron sized algae.
