Rag Seeding in Wastewater Treatment Systems
20210252435 · 2021-08-19 ·

In a wastewater treatment plant a rag seeding tank is included in a process drain to collect hair and fibers which have passed through headworks of the plant. The hair and fibers tend to join together into large masses downstream of the headworks and can be damaging to process zones, particularly membrane zones. The rag seeding tank includes cartridges filled with surfaces that fibers and hair will attach to, so that hair/fiber rags grow in the seeding tank and are removed therefrom rather than causing problems downstream.

Apparatus for filtering a liquid and method for detecting a state of at least a filter element

An apparatus for filtering a liquid includes a filter housing, at least one filter element arranged in the filter housing, and at least one sensor unit. The at least one sensor unit includes at least one sensor and a radio module. The at least one sensor is configured to detect an operating parameter representative of a state of at least the at least one filter element or the apparatus.

Monitoring and performance management system for a network of smart filtering containers

System that monitors and manages a network of smart filtering containers, such as water pitchers with integrated sensors. Measurements are collected from the containers and forwarded to a centralized system, such as an Internet server; data may be analyzed to determine performance modifications or recommendations for selected containers. Centralizing the data enables discovery of patterns and correlations across containers; for example, abnormal measurements from multiple pitchers in an area may suggest contamination of the area's water supply. The centralized system may automatically update settings of containers to optimize their performance. It may send messages to users suggesting different usage patterns or configurations. It may automatically order components such as replacement filters or upgrades. A water testing capability may also be provided; users may be sent water test strips that can be imaged using an associated mobile device app, and results may be forwarded to the central database for analysis.

SERVICE LIFE REMINDING SYSTEM FOR WATER BOTTLE FILTER ELEMENT
20210146285 · 2021-05-20 ·

The present disclosure provides a service life reminding system for a water bottle filter element. The service life reminding system for the water bottle filter element includes a one-way valve head, a mounting bracket, and a circuit board. The mounting bracket includes a first accommodating cavity. A portion of the one-way valve head is movably accommodated in the first accommodating cavity. A magnetic element is fixed in the mounting bracket. A magnetic sensor is arranged on the circuit board. Both of the circuit board and the magnetic sensor are accommodated in the one-way valve head. When the one-way valve head slides to abut against the mounting bracket, the magnetic sensor senses the magnetic element. When the one-way valve head slides away from the mounting bracket until the one-way valve head separates from the mounting bracket, the magnetic sensor is unable to sense the magnetic element.

PROCESSING LIQUID CIRCULATING APPARATUS
20210047219 · 2021-02-18 ·

A processing liquid circulating apparatus includes an ultraviolet radiation applying unit and a cleaning unit for cleaning a water flow passageway from a waste liquid tank to a clear water pump. The ultraviolet radiation applying unit includes an ultraviolet lamp, a quartz glass tube defining therein a first space surrounding the ultraviolet lamp, such that gas can be introduced into and discharged from the first space, and a frame defining therein a second space surrounding the quartz glass tube, such that clear water can be introduced into and discharged from the second space. The cleaning unit has an oxygen charge unit for charging oxygen into the first space, a first pipe interconnecting the second space and the clear water tank, and a second pipe interconnecting the ultraviolet radiation applying unit and the waste liquid tank.

Filter assembly with leak detection features

A filter cartridge includes a casing. A filter medium is disposed within the casing. A radio-frequency identification, RFID, tag is positioned on the casing. A leak detection pad is positioned on the casing. The RFID tag is in communication with the leak detection pad. The RFID tag is configured to transmit a leak detection signal in response to a liquid at the leak detection pad.

TRACKING WATER FILTER LIFESPAN
20210039025 · 2021-02-11 ·

Tracking a filter lifespan in a fluid supply system includes determining specifications of a filter. A flow detection device determines fluid characteristics of fluid flowing through the filter, where the fluid characteristics comprise fluid flow data. The fluid flow data is analyzed to determine fluid flow through the filter. A lifespan stage of the filter is determined based on the fluid flow through the filter.

Liquid Filter Fuel Consumption Estimation

A system and method for monitoring the negative impact of a filtration system on the fuel economy of an internal combustion engine. A filter monitoring controller receives engine operating parameters of the internal combustion engine. The filter monitoring controller determines an amount of power generated by the internal combustion engine based at least in part on the engine operating parameters. The filter monitoring controller determines a filter hydraulic power consumption of a filtration system providing a fluid to the internal combustion engine. The filter monitoring controller determines a fuel economy impact of the filtration system on the internal combustion engine based at least in part on the filter hydraulic power consumption of the filtration system. The filter monitoring controller compares the fuel economy impact of the filtration system to a threshold fuel economy impact to determine whether a filter element of the filtration system requires servicing.
