Reinforced air filter
An air filter includes an air filter pack includes air filtration media folded along fold lines to define adjacent walls separated by connecting peaks at the fold lines; and a beam defined on both sides of the air filtration media and extending transverse to the fold lines. A frame can enclose the filter pack, and methods for making are also disclosed. The beam can be formed of cured adhesive and reinforces the filter against bending due to upstream air pressure.
Assembly with a filter element
An assembly having an intake connector with an air entrance for an air-conditioning system and a filter element having a concertina bellows having peripheral troughs and peripheral peaks, wherein the filter element has a water-repellent filter medium and wherein the filter element at least partially covers the air entrance, suitable for discharging snow and water, in particular snowmelt, to avoid flow into the air-conditioning system of a motor vehicle and to minimize damage to a filter element, wherein the concertina bellows is disposed so as to be inclined at an angle of 5° to 90°, preferably at an angle of 15° to 85°, in relation to the horizontal, wherein the filter element has an outflow unit for a water outflow from the peripheral troughs.
Filter Element and Method for Producing a Filter Element
A filter element for filtering fluid has a fold pack formed of a filter medium folded in a zigzag shape or corrugated shape and provided with fold sections delimited by fold edges. The fold sections include at least two directly neighboring fold sections connected to each other by an adhesive connection of an adhesive material and extending along an adhesive line. The adhesive line extends at least in sections obliquely to the fold edge positioned between the at least two directly neighboring fold sections or the adhesive line extends offset along the fold edge positioned between the at least two directly neighboring fold sections. A filter element with one or more adhesive walls of an adhesive material extending within the fold pack and formed by adhesive connections of directly neighboring fold sections of the fold pack is provided. A method for producing such filter elements is provided.
UNIFORMLY EXPANDABLE AIR FILTER
The present disclosure relates to air filters. More particularly, it relates to air filters including pleated filter media that can be uniformly expanded and contracted. In some embodiments, the air filters are adjustably sized air filter systems. In some embodiments, the air filters can be used in a window opening.
AIR FILTER MEDIUM, FILTER PACK, AIR FILTER UNIT, AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING THEM
An air filter medium includes a glass filter medium layer that includes a glass fiber. The glass filter medium layer has a protruding portion. The protruding portion undergoes a change in protrusion height of 70% or less when left to stand at an atmospheric temperature of 100° C. for one hour.
Channel-framed, pleated air filter with bridging filaments
A rigid, channel-framed, non-compressible, non-nestable, pleated air filter, comprising: a tightly-pleated air filter media comprised of a nonwoven fibrous web and with an upstream face and a downstream face, wherein the tightly-pleated air filter media comprises a plurality of upstream (and downstream) pleat tips and upstream (and downstream) pleat valleys, the tightly-pleated air filter media comprising a plurality of upstream (and downstream) linear bridging filaments that are at least substantially parallel to each other and are oriented at least substantially orthogonal to the pleat direction and are extrusion-bonded to at least some of the upstream (and downstream) pleat tips, and, a channel frame comprising four major frame portions, with each major frame portion being mounted on one of the four major edges of the pleated air filter media.
Helically wrapped filter
A filter cartridge is provided for filtering particulates in fluid and gas streams. The filter cartridge has a filter element for filtering the streams and a helical wrap to give stability to the pleats in response to radially outward flow. The wrap has an outer layer for attaching to the filter element and an inner layer for strength and resisting pressure drops across the filter element.
Filter Element of a Filter for Filtering Fluids, and Filter
A filter element has a zigzag-folded filter medium. Filter medium sections joined by a fold edge define an intermediate fold space, respectively, with a fold base and fold peaks opposite the fold base. An elongate support section is arranged in the intermediate fold space on a filter medium surface of one of the filter medium sections. The support section extends perpendicular to the fold edges between fold base and fold peak. The support section has a height extension perpendicular to the filter medium surface that increases in longitudinal direction of the support section from fold base to fold peak. The support section has a free side facing away from the filter medium surface. The support section has a width extension parallel to the fold edges. The width extension decreases parallel to the filter medium surface and perpendicular to the longitudinal direction from fold peak to fold base.
FILTRATION MEDIA, PLEATED MEDIA PACK, FILTER CARTRIDGE, AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING
Filter media is described that includes a filtration substrate having a first side and a second side, and constructed for filtering a fluid by flow of the fluid therethrough from the first side to the second side or from the second side to the first side. The filtration substrate has a first edge and a second edge, and a first end and a second end, wherein the filtration substrate has a machine direction extending from the first end to the second end, and a cross direction extending from the first side to the second side. The filtration substrate includes a plurality of corrugations located in the cross direction and extending in the machine direction. The plurality of corrugations include a plurality of first crests formed along the first side of the filtration substrate and a plurality of second crests formed along the second side of the filtration substrate. The filtration substrate includes a plurality of bosses located along the plurality of first crests or along the plurality of second crests and extending in a direction away from the other of the plurality of first crests or the plurality of second crests. Media packs, filter elements, and methods of making are provided.
