FIBER AND DUST SEPARATING AND COLLECTING SYSTEM FOR TEXTILE PLANTS
A receiver for separating and collecting contaminants, such as lint produced by a textile machine, from an airstream. The receiver includes a housing with an inlet and an outlet. The receiver includes a dumping mechanism to selectively dump the collected contaminants from the bottom of the housing. The housing contains a perforated filter support positioned in a flow path of the airstream from the inlet to the outlet. A tubular mesh screen is attached under tension to the perforated filter support. The tubular mesh screen is positioned in the flow path of the airstream from the inlet to the outlet so that the screen can separate the contaminants from the airstream. An annular bracket ring is attached to a lower portion of the screen to position and facilitate replacement of the screen. Pressure sensors are provided to activate the dumping mechanism based on a predetermined pressure differential.
Pulse jet air cleaner systems; evacuation valve arrangements; air cleaner components; and, methods
Assemblies, features, and techniques for pulse jet air cleaner assemblies and their operation are described. Techniques described include methodology and equipment for preferred pulse jet sequencing and operation.
Method for backwashing filter
The reliability of backwashing valves constituted of first backwashing valves and second backwashing valves is ensured. A first backwashing valve (backwashing-gas rear valve) (7) that controls gas for backwashing and a second backwashing valve (backwashing-gas front valve) (6) that operates at slower speed than the first backwashing valve (7) are disposed, in a series including two or more thereof, at backwashing-gas introducing pipes individually provided for each of the filter blocks.
FILTER MEDIUM AND BREATHER FILTER STRUCTURE
Thermoplastic bicomponent binder fiber can be combined with other media, fibers and other filtration components to form a thermally bonded filtration media. The filtration media can be used in filter units, such as breather caps. Such filter units can be placed in the stream of a mobile fluid and can remove a particulate and/or fluid mist load from the mobile stream. The unique combination of media fiber, bicomponent binder fiber and other filtration additives and components provide a filtration media having unique properties in filtration applications.
Filter cleaning system and method
A filter cleaning system for cleaning a filter element is provided. The filter cleaning system includes a set of pulse nozzles and a compressed air supply, which rotate together during a cleaning cycle to release pulse blasts at predetermined time intervals to clean the filter element.
Filter cartridge with venturi nozzle
A filter cartridge for cleaning an air flow includes a base, a cover provided with a central recess, and at least one pleated filter element arranged between the cover and the base. The at least one filter element encloses an interior space. The cover has a venturi nozzle, and the venturi nozzle engages in the pleated filter element. The venturi nozzle is spread out in comb-like fashion in the region of its end engaging in the filter element.
Device and method for cleaning bag filters
A device configured for cleaning bag filters with compressed air comprises a frame having a hollow interior defining a wall of the frame and openings formed through a thickness of the wall so that the hollow interior is in open communication with an environment external to the frame. A mounting member is configured to be releaseably or permanently attached to one end of the frame and is further configured to be releaseably or permanently attached to a member configured to pass air flow therethrough.
Filter element for cleaning an air stream that is charged with particles and filter device that is equipped with said element
The invention relates to a filter device (1) and a filter element (8) for cleaning an air stream that is charged with particles. The filter element (8) comprises a bag-type filter sock (17) consisting of an air-permeable, flexible material and a support body (21) in the interior of the bag-type filter sock (17). The first axial end of the bag-type filter sock (17) is closed and the second axial end has an air outlet that allows the cleaned air stream to exit the filter sock (17). An inner diameter or inner periphery of the filter sock (17) is greater in cross-sectional areas between the air outlet and its closed first end, in particular at least 10%, preferably between 20% and 40% greater than the greatest outer diameter or outer periphery of the support body (21), such that the filter sock (17) is dimensioned in relation to the support body (21) contained therein such that in the inactive state of the filter element (8) without air flow, said sock surrounds the support body (21) in a relatively loose manner and with lateral clearance. When air flows against the outer surface of the filter sock (17), folds or undulations are deliberately formed, at least in the jacket section of the filter sock (17), and the filter sock (17) thus lies comparatively closer to the support body (21).
Filter element support assembly, quick installation system, and methods
A filter element support assembly for mounting a filter element to a tube sheet includes a plurality of elongated rods; a first clamp having a through-hole; the first clamp defining a plurality of rod seats sized to receive a first end of one of the rods; a clamp rod extending through the through-hole in the first clamp; a second clamp having a through-hole; the clamp rod extending through the second clamp through-hole; the second clamp being mounted against the first clamp; the second clamp having radially projecting bumps mounted against the rods adjacent to the first clamp to hold the rods in the rod seats; a plurality of feet; each foot being secured to a second end of one of the rods; and a handle secured to an end of the clamp rod.
Drum filter media cleaning apparatus
An apparatus and method for cleaning a drum filter medium are disclosed. Air with entrained particulate matter, e.g., from a papermaking process, flows through a filter medium positioned along the perforated circumferential surface of a rotating drum. At least some of the particulate matter is caught on or in the filter medium. A set of suction nozzles provided proximate to the surface of the filter medium is provided to draw the particulate matter off of the filter medium. A complementary set of compressed air nozzles simultaneously delivers compressed air to drive particulate matter off of the filter medium and into the suction nozzles. This cleans the filter medium in situ and extends its useful life.
